Shadow looked to her kits, to where Tears had gone from her eyesight. Wet tears came from her eyes, she avoided every cat's gaze. She, she couldn't... What would she do?

(lol and so as planed Claw has to stay if he is to become the chosen medicine cat but we need to get that moved forward after because all the other medicine cats are suppose to find him wandering as a kit so they know what he looks like yet they cant just come in and say 'hey shadowclan were hear for the one who is to become your medicine cat ' lol just thought i would inform everyone )

Spottedstar flicked her tail. "Shadow, I know this is hard for you. But the thing is, I can't keep ShadowClan waiting out there forever. I will take the kits who want to stay into the Clan, but perhaps you'll want to wait on joining yourself. It might be best if you sort out the knots with your son, Tears."

Spottedstar watched her go. That hadn't been much of an answer, but she would have to take it for now. She looked down at the two kits. "Are you two willing to join us? I can't guarantee your mother will." An idea slipped into her mind. "Maybe she feels as if Tears matters more than the rest of her kits. I hope that's not true, and that she hasn't just decided to abandon you."

Shattered nodded sadly to the first question after watching his mother leave them behind. He hadn't expected her to join ShadowClan in the first place, but now he was more confused that before. When he heard Spottedstar continue, his eyes widened with fear. "That can't be true! Momma loves us!" But as her words sunk it, they pierced his heart. What if this was the source of all the confusion he felt? What if this was why his mother had run out on him and his brother? The one simple fact was making everything one-sided and clear. Maybe it was the truth after all.

Heart's fur bristled, it looked strange on her... Being so shy after all... "How dare you! Are momma loves us and she will never abandon us!" rage flared her her stomach as she fired on, "She love Tears as equally as she loves all of us! If it were any other of us she would be there, by our side in our time of need!"

Shadow stood beside her kit, she licked his cheek and looked over to her other kits, "Come 'on over here. Heart, Claws, Shattered, Blood, Fang." She welcomed her kits and licked their heads, purring softly.

Spottedstar's eyes narrowed. She didn't like the sound of it, nor the brashness in the kit's mew. But if it meant keeping the little tom in the Clan she would have to make some compromises. "Very well. If that's what you require."

Shattered padded over to his mother, but didn't look her in the eyes. The same thought was still buzzing around in his mind like an angry bee. If Tears hadn't decided to come back, what would Shadow have done? Where would she go? He kept this to himself, silent as Shadow licked his head.

Shadow purred, happy not to choose her Tears from her kits. "Kits, what about your names? Do you with to have clan names?" she mewed.

"Clan..." Heart mewed, brushing against her mother.

"Clan.' said Fang, sitting grumpily as her mother licked her head.

"Clan," Shattered mewed. Now he could remember the joy he had felt when he imagined himself as a warrior, hunting and fighting with other cats. He smiled at the thought. What a future it would be!

Tears still didn't like being in the clan, he wouldn't enjoy it.

He padded over to Shadow, but didn't dare to look at her nor his siblings.

He sat in the entrance, tension running off of his scent like dew being made in the morning.

Claw let the though slip into his mind as well about there mom liking Tears a bit more. He then heard his momma calling him and ran over beside his brother Shattered. He thought when his mom asked about him keeping his name Claw or becoming Clawkit. "Clan" he finally mewed at last.
