Medicine Cat Meeting

The she-cat was rushing to the Highstones, not caring if she wasn't a proper RiverClan medicine cat no more. It was a habit, and she needed to see StarClan anyways.

She stopped at the entrance, and began pacing, ears flat right against her head. Her tail was swishing, unsure what the others would think of her.

She muttered, the breeze blowing against her fur.

Clawpaw walked beside his mentor, he was happy it was his first time to highstones. He was happy he finally had been in is training for about a half-moon now. And he had learned so much yet he had so much more to learn.

Hello Again

Dappledfrost was looking forward to coming, so she could see Rainwing and make sure he was alright. She hadn't thought that RiverClan would hurt him in any way, or that he couldn't defend himself if they did, but the medicine cat den seemed to empty with only her to inhabit it, nowadays. What she had not been expecting, however, was to see Miraclefur. Her eyes widened, and she bounded up quickly to reach her, at first thinking she was seeing things. But no, it was her. "Miraclefur!" she purred, reaching her. "I thought... Well, what are you doing back here? Did you go back to RiverClan?"

The she-cat had stopped pacing, her gaze looking back at DappledFrost. She smiled warmly, and then frowned at the question. She shook her head.

"I may not be a Medicine Cat at RiverClan, but I am still a Medicine Cat either way. And--"

She looked at ClawPaw, and smiled.

"Hey, ClawPaw."

He smiled "Hello Miraclefur! Hello Dappledfrost! Its my first time to Highstones" he mewed eagerly and full of excitement.

Dappledfrost nodded in approval to Miraclefur's words, glad to know that she still held on to the medicine cat ways, rouge or Clan cat. Then she mewed a greeting to Clawpaw. "Hello, there, Clawpaw. Are you enjoying your training? How's Moonspirit treating you?" Tanglestar couldn't keep her away from the ShadowClan apprentice at Highstones, and she was interested in StarClan's chosen's training..

MiracleFur let out a purr.

"I must admit, DappledFrost, I sure do miss RiverClan. I came for another thing, I really do got to speak with StarClan.. over a certain matter."

Oh, it was because of Ice's nightmare.. It had given her chills. It made her believe that maybe it was part of his history, or maybe trying to tell him something.

She shook her head, pushing away the thoughts for a bit.

Clawpaw smiled "I have learned so much and have so much still to learn! Moonspirit issuch a great teacher but I do wish I could have been trained by all of you then I could have learned more much faster" he mewed.

Dappledfrost purred at the kits enthusiasm before turning back to Miraclefur. She smiled sadly. "And I'm sure RiverClan misses you. My apprentice, Rainwing, is filling in for you. Either until you return, or... Well, if they find another." The dark she-cat still hoped that her friend would return. Medicine cats weren't meant to just pack up and leave. But she was curious about this matter she chose to disclose. It must have something to do with her company. I'd need StarClan, too, if I had to travel with Needleheart and that tom.

Sneaking Around

It had taken extra time to follow along unnoticed, but Ice had managed to track Miraclefur to the cave opening. He had woken when he felt her warm pelt move away from his, and had been interested to know where she was going. Now the kit was hidden behind a holly bush, keeping low and downwind. What's she doing here? he wondered.

She nodded a bit, and sighed.

"RainWing should be here soon then, along with MoonSpirit. Was she coming, ClawPaw?"

She asked, looking at the little tom. She thought she scented Ice, but she shook her head. She must of imagined it.

Either way, he looked like he was sleeping soundly when she left, he must be okay.

Clawpaw looked up "I am not to sure but I think she is coming " he smelled a new sent in the air one he hadn't smelled before "Is there anyone else here with you?" he asked looking around for the other cat.

Hidden From View

Fox-dung! Ice crouched down farther to the ground. He couldn't just let himself get caught following Miraclefur away from the den! The least she'd do was send him back, but what if she told Needleheart? The tom who was just older than himself had scented him, so the other must have been able to as well. He glanced at Miraclefur with worry. Please, please don't say anything!

No One's There

A thorn of fear went through Dappledfrost when the medicine cat apprentice brought up the subject. If anyone had followed Miraclefur, it was either Needleheart or Ice, and she didn't fancy meeting up with either of them. She sniffed the air, but she had her back to where Ice was concealed and could find a scent. "I don't smell anything. Do you, Miraclefur?"

I knew I scented him..

She looked behind her, almost looking at Ice, and gave a small weak smile, looking back at DappledFrost, the smile disappeared.

"Oh, no, I don't."

She cleared her throat a bit, and still sat there. She hoped that Ice DID know she scented him, but decided not to say anything.

Sweet Relief

Ice let out a quiet sigh of relief. He could just barely make out Miraclefur's smile in the moonlight through the prickly leaves, and he was grateful. But they had still scented him all the same. The kit needed to move farther off to avoid them from still noticing his watchful look. Making sure not to cause any noises through the undergrowth, Ice carefully lifted his paws softly across the forest floor, fist away from the holly bush backwards, then off to the left, behind a clump of bracken. That would do for now.

Dappledfrost relaxed when Miraclefur reported on the lack of another cat. They didn't need any intruders tonight. She flicked her tail to the other she-cat, trying to turn the subject but not going far. "So how are the cats you're traveling with? Not causing you any problems, I hope?" The medicine cat would never believe that the two had become goody-goody kittypets or something outrages like that. Ice was just a kit, true, but he was with bad company.

MiracleFur purred.

"They are great. Ice is doing really well with training, I mean, he hunts well, real well. His parents came later on, and I actually had to tustle with his mom, you wouldn't believe who it was... You remember LurkClan right? Leo. I don't know if you know her, but.. jeez. NeedleHeart is actually... being like a parent."

She nodded each time, since this was actually quite surprising.

"Protected him, being very gentle. Ice is doing well too, I mean, like, he... DappledFrost, you know what I mean right.. He isn't.."

She moved closer to her ear, since she knew Ice was around, and he didn't need to hear this.

"Not acting like FrostStorm at all."

She nodded, as she scooted further away.
