Twists And Turns Give You Burns

Talonkit squealed happily and raced off after his sister. When he reached the tunnels he felt a wave of curiosity and excitement as he ran. There were so many! It would take ages to explore them all, but it would give him something to do for the rest of his kithood, that was for sure. But he must have taken a different turn than his sister, for he soon lost her scent. The black kit looked this way and that, trying to the think about him being lost. "Sparklekit? You in here?" he called out further down the tunnel, straining his neck to see into the looming darkness of the tunnel.

RoseKit was on the ground now, her ears flat against her head. She hissed to all of the cats, growling.

"No! I want to go back! I don't like it here!"

Her fur stood on end. This was making her furious, making her fur hot.

When ClawTooth said he was going hunting, she clutched onto his leg, not letting go.

Moonlight noticed and grabbed her scruff "Hold on one second dear we have a run away so stay still Clawtooth" she mewed then pulled Rosekit off and kept her in her mouth till Moonlight backed up to block the whole entrance then she set Rosekit down "Now were do you think your going?" she mewed and then called out "Kits! come here please!" Sparklekit moved back to where she had started in the tunnels and caught sent of her brother heading a different way and she started to track him but made sure she made no sound. She then found him and crawled up behind him "BOO!' she shouted in hopes of scaring him. She then started to laugh but heard there mother's calling "ha ha ha come on Talonkit momma's calling" she giggled.

Clawtooth froze when he felt Rosekit. "*Tsk Tsk* Rosekit." he smiled at his daughter.

Rosekit looked up at her mother.

"Trying to escape. I want to go back. I don't like it here.."

She started to sniffle a bit, looking down.

"Just...Just because you wanted to go, doesn't mean you get to ruin all of our lives, at least mine.."

Clawtooth leaned closer to his kit, "Love, we are a family now. Stay here for now and when you are older you can decide where you want to stay." he licked her cheek softly.

Moonlight looked down at Rosekit her eyes started to tear. Moonlight stood up and walked out of the cave letting her tail drag on the ground and went over to the edge of the gorge. Her ears bent back as she let the tears stream down her face. She looked down over the gorge and wondered how long it would take her to hit the ground cause she just wanted to jump.

Clawtooth hissed a word he knew the kits didn't yet understand, and dashed after her, dragging her by the scruff back home.

Moonlght pulled away hissing her eyes filled with sorrow 'why did they hate her what did she do? why did they want to leave her' she asked herself over and over again. She didn't want this...no but why did it have to happen over and over?

But Clawtooth was too strong, he pulled her away until they were home. He blocked the entrance from her, "I am not loosing my mate!" he hissed.

Moonlight hissed when she was back in the cave "Let me go! I am not wanted here!" she spat looking coldly at Rosekit. She paced back and forth across the cave and remembered the back tunnel that lead up also to the gorge and started walking to the tunnel.

"Momma, no!" Talonkit raced after his mother, bolting so that he could get ahead and cut her off. He looked up at her pleadingly, shaking beneath his black fur. "Please, Momma, don't leave us! We finally have both our parents, now. Please stay!" He didn't know what he'd do if his mother left. He couldn't bare the mere thought.

"It isn't that fact, Mum, It's the fact that I want to go back, and you won't let me. We belong there, at least, I do!"

She went to escape, having enough of this, then again, she wasn't old enough to live without a mother, but she wanted to go back.
