Riddlehawk rolled off and pounced on Froststorm again, the big tom enraged by the Riverclan warrior's words and actions. He grabbed at him with his jaws, shaking his head back and forth like a dog would shake an animal. He batted at his head with his ruined paw, whacking at his head with the scarred appendage.

Froststorm was forced to release the apprentice's leg at the warrior once again took him in his jaws. As he was shakes, Froststorm's vision became a confusing blur, agitating the tom. He hissed as he was hit repeatedly with the other cat's lame paw. Confused and furious, the pale tabby wildly lashed out with his own paws to get the tom to release him.

Riddlehawk growled, taking the blows but keeping his jaws firmly in place. He refused to let go. He had hurt Rainpaw! That was unforgivable in his eyes, and this tom could potentially hurt Mousefur. He refused to let that happen.

Moonshine and Dappledleaf continued fighting, the grey and white she-cat and the calico she-cat duking it out. Both were formidable opponents but they were matched fores. They would only be able to wear the other down until one gained the upper hand.

Rainpaw barely saw the Riverclan tom hit him and he reeled back, his head spinning from the blow. He heard the words and grimaced in anger, but his vision was out of focus from the hit and he saw two of the cat. Next thing he knew, Riddlehawk was there and the cat had let go of him. He winced in pain and let out a yowl from the searing pain in his leg, but a more overwhelming feeling was the feeling of being useless. "Riddlehawk, I can fight my own battles!" He said, biting down hard on Froststorm's tail with his strong jaws.

Stormstrike looked up to see Riddlehawk go after Froststorm. "No, you're battle is with me!" He called, headbutting him in the side and knocking him off Froststorm, standing between the two. He crouched low, tail flicking back forth until he pounced and the two went tumbling in a flying mass of claws and teeth.

Riddlehawk felt his jaws wrenched from Froststorm's pelt. He snarled, his gold eyes gleaming dangerously and he rolled as he was tackled. He struck out blindly with his bad paw, coming in contact with something. Riddlehawk bit onto Stormstrike's pelt, meaning to shake him like he had shaken Froststorm.

Dappledleaf watched as her mate fought Riddlehawk. She knew that the big tom was a difficult opponent and she didn't want him getting hurt. But her fight was with Moonshine, the grey and white she-cat before her.

Being released from Riddlehawk's hold, all Froststorm had left to deal with was the pain in his tail. Wincing from the sharp teeth embeded there, Froststorm raised his tail and slammed it to the ground along with the apprentice. He then grabbed the tom in his jaws by the same leg he had gone after before. "You'll regret not running home, kit," he growled around the fur, then again threw the apprentice down.

Mousefur looked around the clearing it was evenly matched. She was glad they were not losing but they were losing strength and many of their warriors had fled.

Riddlehawk's eyes strayed to where Rainpaw was being battered by Froststorm. He growled, angry that he could do nothing until he was finshed with Stormstrike.

Fireleaf noticed that Mousefur ha stopped chasing her, she was panting heavily and she collapsed for a moment to catch her breath.

Mousefur saw Riddlehawk's gaze and followed it. Frostorm she growled to herself. She flung herself at him and fought beside the new apprentice. She made sure all of the devastating blows came to her and none hurt the apprentice.

Riddlehawk's eyes widened as Mousefur put herself in with Rainpaw. What was she doing? He snarled, fighting harder. He wanted to get over there and deal with Froststorm himself. He really didn't want Mousefur getting hurt. He shook his head, a good grip on his opponent.

Rainpaw lost his breath, gasping for air as he layed on his back, his sides heaving. All he could hear was his blood pounding in his ears and his leg...it hurt so bad. He closed his eyes a moment so he could try to stop his aching head, but it was no use. 'Why didn't I run...?'

Stormstrike hissed as he felt claws in his fur before lashing out at Riddelhawk with unsheathed clwas, sinking in deep as red blood spattered both of them. He ducked some blows, trying to be smart with this talented fighter.

"You're in my way!" He growled, slashing at the intruding ThunderClan cat with claws extended. He had unfinished buisiness to attend to...

"Well your not in mine"she hissed ducking from the blow and lashing out with her own paws. She looked toward Riddlehawk making sure he was safe.

As soon as the she-cat's attention was turned, Froststorm slammed into her with full force, causing them both to tumble over, farther away from the apprentice. "I'll just have to finish you off first!" he hissed once they stopped, and slashed at her flank.
