"Really," he purred. He stepped back and looked sheepish. "Oh, um, if you don't want to go through with this you don't have to. I mean, you don't have to like me just because I like you. Or if I'm too pushy," he mewed quickly, warmth spreading to his ear tips. "I don't want you to feel bad or anything."

Badgerpaw nodded solomly, and touched his nose to her cheek. "Of course. I won't tell any cat." The apprentice turned to look outside the den at the sky. The moon was full, and was nearing its peak. "I have to for to the Gathering soon. And you're going to the Moonstone, right?"

"Yes, Badgerpaw. I... I will receive my name tonight." She purred, licking him on the forehead and sighing. "You will have to be careful of your sprained paw." she smiled and sat down.

"Oh, really? That's... Great." Badgerpaw put on a smile, but the thought made him a little sad. Moonpaw was getting her full name, and he was still an apprentice. The idea made him feel young, too young. He was happy for her, but all the same...

The tom shrugged it off. "Yeah, I know." He nuzzled her cheek. "Let's go. I'll watch my paw." Bagerpaw gently placed his recovering forepaw on the ground. All that came was a tingling sensation that made him wince and retract it. "It'll be fine."
