Dappledleaf padded into River Clan territory, the light playing through the leaves leaving her already calico coat dappled. She had been searching for a suitable clan all week. That's what she intended to do here, join their clan. She looked around and, seeing no one, padded over to a gnarled tree truck and laid down in a warm hollow, purring softly. She looked up at the sound of pawsteps, her eyes cautious but bright. She was a curious but beautiful she-cat. She could fit in with other cats easily.

Clear padded up towards DappledLeaf, his gray fur quite sleek, his big paws barely being noticed, with his long tail swishing. "Hi.." He hoped he was doing a good thing, just coming upfront and talking to a cat. He wasn't sure.

His green gaze flowed in DappledLeaf's direction, but looking past her, seeing a mouse scuffling on a seed. He knew he wasn't on proper territory to hunt, but he was starving, his stomach was growling, his ribs were showing![well a couple were, but..]

He moved quite slowly towards the mouse, his paws barely touching the ground he thought. It looked like he was going after her, since she did not see it yet.

He went past her form, his gray tail tip going across her ear, when he suddenly pounced on the little gray puff ball, with a pink tail. He was amused with himself, one of his big fore-paws going on it's tail, watching it trying to go away.

"You want this mouse? If not, I'll let it free." He hated how he had to kill living things, just to eat, but he had to, or he would not be living. His green gaze shifted to her, sparking with curiousity.

DappledLeaf watched the big grey tom move through. She listened to him speak then replied. No thanks. I ate a little while ago. Her gaze moving to him. She looked at the mouse and cocked her head to the side, her eyes glimmering. She was in a rather good mood, not angry or anything like that.

Clear nodded, letting go of the mouse's tail. The mouse quickly scurried away, going under the tree. He looked back at her, his green gaze looking at her form. "Is this.. your land?" He wasn't sure, but he might as well find out.

DappledLeaf shook her head. No. I, like yourself, am alone. I don't really belong to any clan. Not that its a problem. But, I do hope to atleast find one myself. She stated, her bright eyes taking in his strong form.

Clear blinked, his tail lashing back and forth. "Why? My parents told me clan-cats are bad.." He looked at his paws, scuffling them among eachother. He didn't know what to tihnk at this moment, then looked back at her. "Cats confuse me sometimes, and I don't like being alone, but It's probably better that way."

I agree. Other cats are...confusing to say the least. When you're alone or just with another cat, it's easier to understand things. Less to think about somehow. DappledLeaf's tail flicked back and forth and she got up off the trunk. Her slender body was lean and muscular, just like a mountain lion. It was obvious she was fit and could keep herself well fed.

Clear scuffled his paws a bit, looking down at them. He wasn't feeling very comfortable. His tail flicked back and forth as well, his gaze reaching her's. "Yes.. Easier to understand.."

"What are you two doing on Riverclan territory?" A curious voice sounded out of no where until a handsome tom padded out of the brush a little bit away from them. He bright blue eyes studied the two loners curiously, but a little bit defensive since it was his territory. They didn't look threatening, but he wasn't sure with Lurkclan cats around. He stepped out into the light, his grey pelt rippling over his strong warrior muscles as he drew closer

Clear turned his head around swiftly, looking at the other tom. He yawned, and stretched.

"Is it a problem?" He said it with disappointment screeching his voice.

His tail flicked back and forth, as he stood up.

Stormstrike shrugged, his tail flicking back and forth. "Well, Riverclan territory usually means that this only for Riverclan." he stated with obviousness and a know-it-all tone. He then turned his gaze to the she-cat, wondering why she hadn't spoke up. "Who are you two?"

The calico she-cat said nothing until she was directly addressed. She flicked her tail back and forth, her amber eyes narrowing curiously. She was a cynical cat but right now she'd be nice. I'm DappledLeaf. Why you need t'know? She cocked her head to the side, a cynical yet curious look on her face.

Stormstrike kept his gaze on the she-cat, meeting her gaze. "Dappledleaf. I'm Stormstrike, Riverclan warrior. What I want to know is why you're on Riverclan Territory." This time, it wasn't a question but a statement. He was tired of unfamiliar cats coming and going as they pleased, mostly the Lurkclan cats. His ears twitched with interest as he waited for an answer.

Clear looked at the two, his ears flicking about. He wasn't sure if he should stay, or leave. For now, he just sat down, and licked a forepaw, swiping it over an ear.

DappledLeaf rolled her eyes. Isn't it obvious? I'm tired of being alone so I came to seek out a clan. Then I met up with Clear and we talked for a bit. DappledLeaf watched him, her amber eyes glinting with curiosity.
