Needleheart's black claws slid out of her cream-colored paws, them sliding against the ground. Her ears were held back, for she knew she couldn't be loyal, and she knew that FireStar knew it as well.

She was thinking for many moments, trying to think of the right words. She only wanted to be in the clan to be with Ice, and a though trickled through her brain. Her ears straightened up, and her little smile grew into a large grin.

"Under One Condition.."

She mew'd slowly.

SnowFeather winced, and backed up a bit. She knew what to expect, she knew what she was going to ask-- to kill her.

Wait, what was SnowFeather thinking? NeedleHeart may be rude, mean, and nasty, but she wouldn't do that... would she?

MiracleFur blinked slowly, not believing what she was hearing, but kept listening. She said no word, just watched and listened.

Things She Said

Ice smiled at Firestar's acceptance, his chin lifting a bit higher with pride. He would be a Clan cat, and someday a warrior! "Thank you, Firestar," he mewed. Then he looked to Needleheart in slight confusion. What did the she-cat want as a condition? Why did she need anything at all? If Firestar was willing to accept her if she acted loyal to RiverClan, that should have been enough in his mind. The young tom blinked at the she-cat, oblivious to the anxiety of Snowfeather, wondering what this condition was.

Firestar narrowed her eyes, "I'm listening..." she mewed, she restrained herself from bristling her fur. Her tail twitched and she muffled a growl.

The she-cat looked at Ice, and then at FireStar.

"I wish to train Ice under my own paws."

Her eyes narrowed a bit, her tail lashing back and forth.

"That is my condition."

She growled.

Firestar's tail lashed, she turned to Miraclefur. "Would you recommend that?" she asked, her claws itching to dig into the earth, or slash across her face.

The she-cat couldn't believe she was about to say this. She rasped her tongue around her lips, and thought for a moment. She was thinking about how Needleheart treats him, and gave a short nod.

"I would. She is rather different with Ice, kind."

She smiled rather large at NeedleHeart.

Who I Am

Ice perked up at this idea. Even Miraclefur saw it as a good idea, so maybe she had some confidence in the creamy she-cat's nature after all. "I wouldn't mind that," he piped up to Foxstar, "not at all! I couldn't imagine having any other mentor, anyway." The young tom smiled at the she-cats, blinking happily at Needleheart. Things were working out just fine. The only thing that was missing was... Moonshine. And Aradox. He grimaced a bit. But maybe it's not too late for Moonshine.

Firestar nodded, turning to Stormstrike, "What do you think Stormstrike?" she asked, her eyes narrowing a bit. She couldn't believe what she was doing, but perhaps having a Warrior as strong as Needleheart would be able to help in the next battle with WindClan.

The gray deputy had been silent, watching the exchange with an unreadable expression on his face. His ears twitched and he glanced to his leader as she asked of him. While they had been talking, he had been thinking about this. "I have no problem with it....but watch where you tread with caution Needleheart." He said slowly with a warning in his deeper voice as he looked to the injured she-cat. "I won't risk Riverclan's safety for one good warrior and if you step out of line, I won't hesitate to let you know." He glanced to Firestar, blinking his green eyes. "And...personally I would like a report of what you're teaching Ice, from Ice himself after each lesson. If that's not a problem."

Firestar nodded, "Then it is decided, Needleheart will be a loyal warrior of RiverClan in exchange for her able to have lessons with Ice. In fact, I would like to add maybe Stomestrike and Leap should join those lessons until Needleheart can prove she is fit to be a Warrior." she looked to Needleheart, then Ice. "Would you like to train with the other Clan apprentices? That would be Thunderpaw, Nightpaw and the Rosepaws." she purred. "And Leap of coarse! You would be sharing a den with them after all..." She smiled, "So how-a-bout it?"

Light My Way

The tom's eyes gleamed at her proposal. "Yes, please, Firestar! I'd love to train with the other apprentices." Ice let his mind wonder what that would be like. He'd have four new denmates, who maybe could help him with his training along with Needleheart. I want to do anything I can to be the strongest warrior. His life and thoughts were already shaped for Clan life. Then he recalled something Moonlight had told him before, how Clan cat's names changed overtime depending on what rank they were. From the other apprentices' names, he guessed the ending was 'paw'. "So does that mean I change my name to Icepaw?" he asked, tilting his head to the side.

"Tomorrow, young one. The clan has had a long night." She nodded to them, If you have all made a decision the three of you can leave now." she nodded to Needleheart, Miraclefur and Ice. "But the rest of you, stay." she said, "We still have a long time ahead of us."

Face It

Ice flicked his tail out behind her. "Alright, then." He dipped his head to Firestar, guessing that was the polite thing to do, then he turned and quickly padded out of the den. If he had some time of his own, there were a couple things he had in mind to do.

Hearing the words of StormStrike set NeedleHeart off, her cream-colored fur prickling up. But then an idea came to her mind, after a while, she could teach him WHAT SHE WANTED. Not some fake-teaching that the other cats wanted. Not only that, she could probably sneak Ice out with her, while the others don't know about it.

She then calmed down, and wrinkled her nose at these thoughts.

"Fine."

Her pads were itching for the fight with FireStar, for her killing FrostStorm. Oh, she might not of killed him, but if it wasn't for Firestar, she believed that she might of been able to save him. She growled deeply in her throat, and shook her head a bit.

"I'm staying put."

SnowFeather was angry at the cream-colored she-cat, but she kept still. She was frightened of her so, mostly because of that nightmare that she had. She just hated it!

Her claws unsheathed and sheathed, doing so repeatedly. She wanted to rake her thin white claws across the she-cats pelt, but she just couldn't bring her guts up to do so.

MiracleFur gave a slight nod towards Firestar, and looked at NeedleHeart with interest. What was going through that cat's mind? She would never know, and shook her head only slightly.

She was glad she was back in RiverClan, but for how long? It is only soon that she would probably have to leave, she knew it. She knew that StarClan would most likely send her something, something to make her paws itch for adventure.

She knew that something might happen, that another fight will break out, that just something bad will happen, but she didn't know what.

Which those thoughts circling her mind, she got up, and padded out.

Firestar snorted, "Yeah, no. Needleheart. Until I see you being a loyal cat you will stay out of my most trusted Warrior's meetings. In fact, maybe she should stay out of the Warriors den for tonight. You might... upset the ones you betrayed." she sneered, "Miraclefur can keep you in her den perhaps, or maybe she should stay in the clearing." her tail flicked, "Well Needleheart, better find somewhere to sleep, before the four of us end up having to escort you out of our camp?"
