Realizing that she had taken his growl the wrong way, Ravenstone's ears fell back and moved closer to her. "No, I didn't mean it like that. I just... I won't let any of these flea-brains hurt you. I didn't intend to growl at you." His attention had left the battle. He didn't want Snowfeather to think badly of him over it. He gave an apologetic smile, hoping she'd understand.

Look At Me
Seeing Needleheart look so crestfallen, Ice couldn't help but feel bad for her, even if he didn't really know what had made her act in that manner. Forgetting about what Miraclefur had said about the creamy she-cat being a bad influence or whatever it had been, the tom followed her pawsteps. "Needleheart, you could stay with RiverClan. That way things would be better for you, I think. They'd learn to trust you again eventually, like I do." The pale tabby looked to her with hope, maybe dumb hope of a kit, but it was what he would have wanted. The fighting leaders were far from his mind at this point. All that mattered was the hurt look in Needleheart's eyes that he felt somewhat responsible for.
Swiftfire's eyes narrowed as she watched her leader barrel into a cat. Firestar then leaped into action to protect her clanmate. They were all acting like selfish little kits! Foxstar was shaming her own clan by her actions. It stung her with rage. Her pelt prickled and her whole body quivered. This needed to stop, this needless fighting once and for all!
Swiftfire knew what she did next was a bit out of line, but somewhere in her mind she also knew it to be the right thing to do. Her paws padded fast as she weaved between Riverclan and Windclan warriors who were staring at the two leaders. With one huge spring, she pushed her way between the two leaders and hissed with all her fury. Aggression showed in the posture she was assuming and her eyes burned with it. If either cat moved more so than an inch, she'd lash out with tongue and claws.
Glaring at each cat, Foxstar and Firestar she stiffled a rampage of insults. Taking a breath she regained composure enough to talk without insulting everyone....to a point.
"What the heck is wrong with you all?! I'm sick of bloodshed, innocent bloodshed!" She yowled at the top of her lungs. Every so often she took a glance at each leader to make sure they were listening and not about to attack one another while she was between them.
"Foxstar, how do you know for sure the side of the story you heard isn't warped? Firestar, how do you know your cat, now that you allowed the cat back, didn't do a wrong?" She looked at each in turn as she said their names.
Her tail lashed angerily. "Blood should never be spilt with more blood for the cycle continues over and over. Remember before we had the warrior code, our ancestors did just that until they were in ruins and many cats died from fights over food? We have laws that dictate our lives, and yes, leaders can use their word as law, but remember that no one can be totally right or perfect."
Swiftfire was on a role and she made sure everyone could hear her loud and clear. It wasn't because she was trying to, it was because she was so fueled with anger that her voice was so loud. Her rant contiued...
"Why can't you all just be decent and ask for an apology? The cat resonsible for hurting the Windclan apprentice should do so and we should give the apprentice a chance to figure out, hey it isn't a big deal, yes I have scars, but I'm alive. Don't any of you remember how when you were young battle scars or any kind of scars were something to brag about?" She made sure both leaders had understood her before continuing.
"You see, your all acting like immature kits. I don't think Starclan is very proud at the moment. I wouldn't and I'm not. What does it mean to be a warrior if all you do is fight a battle that isn't even for gaining anything, but perhaps getting back pride? Well, I don't feel proud about this battle Foxstar and I know that some of Windclan at least feels the same."
Her gaze landed on Foxstar hard after it swept around the camp and Firestar's gaze.
When Swiftfire looked around the clearing, Badgerpaw felt his ears burn. First of all, how could she be so bold? This was between the leaders, and whether she was right or wrong, how was Foxstar going to react? And secondly, he knew she was right. The black and white tom adverted his eyes when she looked near him in shame. He had known that the battle was unjustified, but Foxstar had pushed him into fighting anyway. Many of the cats, including him, were cut up and bleeding over this battle when it all could have been avoided. But his leader had promised him the rank of warrior, and that meant everything to him. The tom kept quiet.
"Is it wrong to protect my clan, in the way this fox-hearted cat has choose. I didn't ask for a battle, every cat's blood is on her paws. Miraclefur is a cat I have trusted ever since she helped me deliver kits when I was a young warrior. I know if she ever did hurt another it would be for a reason, like she stated. But I will let any WindClan cat leave that believes that this battle is wrong, Like I do. But I can't let Foxstar hurt our Medicine cat." she looked towards Rainwing, "I do trust you, and I appricaite you very much, but Miraclefur is the RiverClan medicine cat, you know that you belong in ThunderClan." she sighed, "Foxstar, leave now and this battle can be finished another night." she sighed.
Stormstrike pushed his way through the fray of cats on hold as they talked. He had a couple of scratches and cuts on him, but nothing serious. He padded over beside his leader, ready to support her with her decision. He remained silent, but kept a cautious gaze on Foxstar and Needleheart. Maybe they could end this without any serious injuries...
"Snowfeather, are you alright?" A familiar voice spoke up from the other side of her and Hawktalon padded up to her side. He nuzzled her side affectionately. "Got seperated during the fight, couldn't find you through all the cats."
Rainwing stepped out into the light from his hidden den. He moved through the Windclan and Riverclan cats towards the leader's. "I understand Firestar, I was just doing my duty to help the clans." He dipped his head to Miraclefur, glad to see her back. "And I'm glad to see Miraclefur...." He switched his gaze to the apprentice that traveled with her. "And Ice back." His ears flickered when he heard a familiar voice. Needleheart. He frowned, moving between her and everyone else. "Seems you've finally seen Froststorm for what he really was. The cat you talked about....he never existed. Now give Ice the chance to be different and to leave Froststorm and everything he was behind. Ice deserves that." He said calmly, looking her in the eyes.
When Hawktalon approached, Ravenstone's neck fur bristled. At first, he thought how dare he. But then he remembered that Snowfeather was Hawktalon's mate. It had been so easy to forget, with the feelings the warrior had just for a moment believed they shared. But there was no 'they', he had to remind himself, his shoulders sagging a bit. It had all been in his head. He pulled away from Snowfeather a bit, guessing that Hawktalon wouldn't be fond of his mate's pelt brushing another tom's.
But then his green eyes flashed, and the black warrior straightened up. Wait. Just because he's here doesn't mean anything. I'm not going to let this slip through my claws so easily. Ravenstone raised his chin and looked back at his Clanmate with an unreadable gaze. "She was just fine, actually. She fought off her attackers very well." His tail flicked behind him in a meaningless gesture.

Help Me, Help you
Ice glanced from Needleheart to Rainwing, feeling too many emotions fighting in his belly for dominance. Feelings of loss, sad hope, and uncertainty were clawing against the bitter wave of unjustified hatred he felt for the ThunderClan medicine cat. He had heard the pause the tabby had taken before saying his name; he would never trust him. Maybe that's for the best, a cold whisper echoed in his mind. It made him blink, and he flicked his ear uncomfortably. And whatever fear Ice had felt during his encounter with Froststorm in his dreams, the young tom still resented hearing the insults Rainwing jabbed at the dead warrior.
He had never been taught to think for himself. There had always been some older cat telling him what to believe and what to do. And he'd accepted in gratefully, glad that some cat was lighting a way for him, because in truth, he didn't know which way to turn. But now there were to many voices in his head, all giving different commands. Turn back, keep going, ignore them. Attack. It was all too much for the little tom.
The spite Ice felt for the ThunderClan cat won him over. He just hissed and lashed his tail, but was otherwise silent. He couldn't find the words to say.
FoxStar got pushed away, her fur high up in the air. If she ever looked more like a fox, it was now. She snarled, her teeth baring at her warrior, and rose her deafening jaws up in the air, and let out an angered yowl.
She stared angerily at SwiftFire, her voice deep and maybe even dark, unlike FoxStar.
"You are pathetic! This isn't right. He is a Medicine cat, not an apprentice! You should of seen the look in his eyes, you should of seen the way he talked about it! Apologies? Apologies?!"
She screeched, her ears flat right against her head.
"Do you not understand clan-life? We don't apologize, we fight!"
Her teeth was baring even more now, looking like she was about to lunge right at her warrior.
-
SnowFeather crouched low to the ground, and looked at RavenStone with a nod. She didn't notice Hawktalon, not yet anyway. Her eyes looked at the ground, still not even knowing her own mate was there.
Not until she heard RavenStone, that was when it hit her.
She got up, and looked at both of them, mostly at RavenStone.
"W-What? Huh?"
Her eyes open-wide with fear, not knowing what was exactly happening.
-
MiracleFur shoved her way away, not bothering to look at any other cat. She didn't know what to think, she was rather confused and upset.
-
When RainWing came over, she couldn't help but swipe a sheathed paw at his face. She glared at him, hissing.
"Go away."
She looked at Ice, and she softened immediately. She smiled gently, and sighed.
"I can't, Ice.. They don't trust me, and they wouldn't let me back in, I know that for certain."
Hawktalon frowned uncertainly at his clanmates response for his mate, but he didn't go into it. They were clanmates and everyone knew him and Snowfeather were together. So he was just being friendly...right? He smiled to Snowfeather good naturedly. "That's good. If anything happened to you, I don't know what I'd do." His green eyes flickered with happiness to know she was alright. "Thanks for watching out for her Ravenstone."
Ooc: I SENSE COMPETITION XD
Rainwing took the blow, but stood his ground. "No." He shook his head, to slightly shake away the slight pain from the hit. "Needleheart, leave him be. I was foolish to see Ice as Froststorm. It was wrong of me, he's just haunted my dreams for as long as he's haunted your thoughts. Ice is his own, he can be a great warrior. Don't take that away from him by getting him involved with you and Froststorm!" He said angrily, fur bristling. "Miraclefur was right to bring him here, to be a warrior of Riverclan!"
"You choose YOUR path when you murdered Crookedstar, don't ruin this kit's life by making him choose the same." her ears flecked to Needleheart's crippled leg. "It hasn't done 'wonders' for you has it?" she hissed.
Ravenstone blinked at Snowfeather, wondering why she had acted like she had snapped suddenly back into reality, but his eyes softened. He knew he must only be making things difficult for her. All the same, he still couldn't bring himself to let her go. "Sorry, are you alright? Did you get hurt in the battle? Your head maybe?" The black warrior looked her over with a sweeping glance, a tad bit concerned, but guessing that it wasn't the case he had in mind. Then hearing the warrior speak up again, he gave a curt nod. "Right... No problem."

Half Light, Half Dark
Ice shook his head at Needleheart's words. "No, I'm sure they would let you back in! It just might take some time." Then he looked back to Rainwing with a prickle in his heart. This tom didn't know anything about him. He knew what he was. He was Froststorm. The dead warrior had told him himself. No matter how much this medicine cat tried to convince himself and others, it didn't make a difference. But what will I do about it? Where do I go from here? When he heard Firestar's words, though, his little claws sank into the earth from desperation. "But Needleheart's not really bad, Firestar! She took care of me, tought me how to hunt, and she was never bad to me!" He looked at the leader with big eyes. He didn't want to have to choose between the life he had been living and the life with a Clan.
Swiftfire noticed the way the cats in the clearing were reacting to her stare. She nodded at Firestar's remark, but at Foxstar's she could only stare in disgust. Why was she being the peacekeeper here? Somehow she had turned into the moon during a gathering and was trying to hide it with a cloud.
Dear Starclan, please help me!, she thought to her ancestors as she met Foxstar's gaze evenly. Her leader may look like she was about to attack her, but Swiftfire wouldn't dare look like it too. If Foxstar wanted a fight then she'd gladly get one later on in her life, not now though.
"Clan life is about living with each other and by the warrior code not by trying to kill each other for one bad act against one cat. Foxstar you feel threatened by this, we all know, but does anyone else? Yes, we fell angry and want to help our hurt cat and seek a revenge of some sorts, but doesn't an apology do just that? It hurts the pride of the apology giver and in the receivers own way they get revenge."
Her fur was calm now and she merely laid her feroucious eyes upon everything. Just because her body didn't show it didn't mean in her soul it wasn't there.
"It's not like a cat was killed. If a cat was killed then by all means go for it, but not just because of a few scratches and scars. Border skirmishes give us those any day, give or take."

"RiverClan doesn't need an apology." Firestar hissed, "WindClan can show themselves out and we will be fine with that." she hissed, "End this now, Foxstar. Leave with your clan and end this without deaths."
Ice looked down at his paws. He knew she was right, but he didn't want to believe it. He looked at Firestar arguing with Foxstar. This battle was proof of the fact that Clan cats never forgave a hurt. It was clear in their eyes, just as it had been in Froststorm's. And Needleheart's. He shuffled his paws like a kit in trouble. "Miraclefur said she wanted me to stay here, with RiverClan. She said that was what was best for me. And... I do wanna stay here. I wanna be a warrior. But I also want to stay with you!" Ice couldn't bring himself to look up at Needleheart, so he kept starting at his paws. "Are you sure there's no way? Even if you showed that you could be a good Clan cat for a moon or so?"
Something Is Wrong
Ravenstone's claws sank in and out, but he couldn't find words to say. What was he expected to say, anyway? That he was sorry? He knew he wasn't. That would just be a lie. The warrior wished there was something he could do to comfort his Clanmate, but he felt so awkward next to Hawktalon. He looked at Snowfeather. "Alright... Just be careful." One corner of his mouth twitched in an attempt to smile, but it failed at the end, so he looked back to the two leaders.
Flairpelt came out from the bushes to see what had happened to everyone. He was part of the group that had gone to the secret beach with the kit and queens but had now come back to check on everyone. But now all there was now was conflict. He looked around the clearing seeing his adopted brother Ice. Flairpelt's stomach clenched together for this had been why his mother had left...but Ice wouldn't know why. Flairpelt ran over to the kit and looked down at him "hello brother..." he mewed sitting down.
