Shadowpaw's Hunting Trip

Skypaw frowned, watching Shadowpaw without say anything for moment. Then he sat down, letting Riddlekit speak a moment. But he knew Shadowpaw didn't want their, yet they both were still willing to help him. "Okay...but we're not leaving you. We're staying with you until you reach camp or help arrives." He said with a soft smile. He thought he had seen the medicine cats leave camp moments before they did so, he decided to try something. "Rainwing, Twitchpaw, come quick!" He yowled as loudly as he could, hoping they'd hear.

Shadowpaw glared at them, wishing he could run away from them, he didn't want their help nor did he want them to sit there, watching him. It made him feel uncomfortable and weak, the last thing he wanted. Being weak was his enemy and his fear, to be weak meant that he didn't deserve to become a warrior since he had to be strong to over come the his size. Just leave me alone, I don't want any help. I can help myself!!

Skypaw just sat with Riddlekit, looking around at the forest around them. He didn't care Shadowpaw was glaring at him, actually he tried to make small talk. "You know...that bird you got was pretty impressive Shadowpaw. I've never caught something that big."

Shadowpaw ignored the annoying cat, trying to sleep since he was feeling every tired and sore. Just keep your mouth shut, my bird wasn't that great of a catch since I fell out of the tree, I failed at catching the bird and only made things worse, course your moth is probably the reason I fell. I got distracted and fell because of you blabbering mouth. Shadowpaw thought, growling to himself as she fought to stay awake.

RiddleKit didn't give up though. Since ShadowPaw was trying to sleep, which probably meant he was laying down, RiddleKit got closer.

He didn't say anything, but laid beside him. He may or may not of been touching his fur, but he sure was laying by him. Now he spoke.

"Mister, can I at least be your new friend? Please? I want a great cat whos going to become a great warrior be my friend..."

He looked down at his own paws.

Shadowpaw opened an eye and looked at the kit before closing it, not understand why they where trying to hard, he didn't want them to help him and yet they still did. He attacked and hissed and growled but they didn't seem to care, Shadowpaw never saw anyone fight against it, fight to get to understand the reason behind it but then again, he didn't expect anyone to care enough to try anyway. Why?

RiddleKit gave a soft purr, and nuzzled ShadowPaw's white fur gently. He knew that ShadowPaw wouldn't like it, but he couldn't resist...

It was in RiddleKit's nature. He was sweet, really sweet. He can be real affectionate, too, which is what he was showing at this moment.

He still purred sweetly, and soon just placed his whole little body against his. He wanted ShadowPaw to be RiddleKit's friend, and SkyPaw's. It would be nice, really nice.

Twitchpaw found the group soon seeing her brother, "What happen?" She didn't notice the wound she was standing over her brother, "Shadowpaw!!!! What did you do?!?" She nosed her brother as he opened his eyes and looked at her, growling loudly before clawing at her, catching Twitchpaw's nose. She backed away, pawing her nose before looking at her brother, his stare showing he wasn't happy. "Come one let me help, you know I won't hurt you." "Go away!!!! I just want to be left alone, why does everyone insist on bugging me!!!" Shadowpaw yelled, fighting to get onto his feet, the ground wet and slippery because of the blood from his wound. He fought to get up but his paws kept slipping. "Stop!!!! Your going to make it worse!" Twitchpaw mewed before tackling her brother, pinning him to the ground so she could look at his wounds. "Skypaw, can you make sure he doesn't get up?" She hoped he would agree so that she could get herbs and help her mentor find them.

RiddleKit watched this happen, and suddenly leaped over at TwitchPaw, hissing.

"Leave ShadowPaw alone! If he wants to be left alone, let him! Stop pressuring him!"

It was kinda funny for a young kit to do this, soon he scuffled himself underneath TwithPaw onto ShadowPaw, but his little weight wouldn't do much.

"Please?"

Skypaw looked to Twitchpaw in surprise, having been thinking about something, he didn't even hear her come up. He watched silently as Shadowpaw gave her the same treatment and again he was curious to why the tom was so unfriendly, even to his sister. His green eyes looked to the medicine cat apprentice at her request and he nodded quickly, healping pin down the white tom. "Sorry Shadowpaw, it's for you're own good..."

"I should say....Shadowpaw, calm down and let's have a look at you!" The new voice belonged to none other than the medicine cat as he broke into the clearing. And Rainwing wasn't smiling. He padded over to the group of young cats, first looking to Skypaw. "Why is Riddlekit out here?" Skypaw looked down, as he knew he would be in some trouble, but Rainwing didn't give him time to answer, instead turning to Shadowpaw.

"Shadowpaw, be still and let us look at this wound. You want to be a warrior yes? Then stop acting like a kit and let us help you." He said gruffly, nodding for Skypaw to get off the tom before starting to examine the wound. "That does not look good...Twitchpaw, I need some cobwebs and poppyseeds before we can start to move him. Can you get some for me real quick?" He asked, glancing to his apprentice. He had once been like Shadowpaw, a little rough around the edges and uncooperative, so he knew how he needed to be treated.

Skypaw saw that the medicine cats had everything under control for now, so he quickly darted back the way the trio had come from, knowing he needed to get something. Shadowpaw had worked so hard to prove he could catch that bird...he was going to bring it to camp for him.

Ooc: I'm sending those two away so Shadowpaw can have a little talk with Rainwing, who had a reputation for being the not so nice apprentice.

RiddleKit stayed on Shadowpaw, and looked around him. RiddleKit hissed up at RainWing, letting his ears go against his head.

"Leave ShadowPaw alone! He's fine!" RiddleKit yelled that, soon looking down over at ShadowPaw, then back up at all the other cats.

Rainwing glanced to the little kit, frowning as he leaned in towards him. "Little kits should know better than to disrespect the medicine cat. Shadowpaw is hurt and you're not helping him get any better by not letting me help him." He said sternly, not taking it too lightly with his old mentor's kit.

Twitchpaw nodded to her mentor before running off, heading for her truck, I don't have cobwebs there..... I'll have to find some but that won't be hard. She sighed before slipping into the tree and grabbing some poppy seeds before heading back to her mentor, "Here, I have to find some cobwebs." Twitchpaw mewed before walking over to her brother and nosing him, "Come on....... are you going to do this every time we try to help?" She sighed, her brother still growling at them, not wanting to be touched since he wound hurt. Their trying to piss me off, I can't get up but that doesn't mean they can use that against me, all I want is to be left alone. Twitchpaw noticed that he wasn't going to answer her so she left to find the cobwebs, hoping that the wound wasn't to bad.

Rainwing nodded to his apprentice before nudging the poppy seeds towards the tom. "Here, eat these. They'll make the pain go away." He said, studying his new patient. "You know...asking for help isn't a sign of weakness. Take it from someone who knows from personal experience." He said, examining the wound with a frown. "I used to be like you, you know. Don't think you're the only one that's ever felt like everyone's against you. But it seems even with that attitude, you got a pretty good friend." He looked back towards the way Skypaw ran off to.

"Hm..... how can I trust you when I can't even trust in your own family," Shadowpaw growled, looking the poppy seeds, licking them up before growling again, trying to get on his paws, not wanting to hear anything else from the medicine cat. Just leave me alone, why is that so hard to understand. Shadowpaw yawned, feeling sleepy from the effects of the poppy seeds, "Why.... am I so sleepy?"

Twitchpaw ran though the trees, gathering as much cobwebs as she could since she knew they would need quite a bit since Shadowpaw's wound was so bad. "Sticks.... straight sticks...." Twitchpaw looked around the small clearing that she was in and saw the sticks she needed, I wonder of Rainwing is going to splint his tail, he broke it. She sighed before running back, hoping Shadowpaw hadn't managed to wiggle free of her mentor's grip.
