Don't Tell Me

Spottedstar came out from her den and leapt up the pine tree to the Highbranch. The time had come for many young cats to become apprentices in her Clan. Don't forget they're all loner in blood, a teasing thought came from the darkness of her mind. It made her roll her shoulders uncomfortably. She knew this already. But Shadowheart's kits had already been enlisted in the Clan, and had been raised in their camp. Surely that would get rid of any doubts in their loyalty. As for Flora, most of the Clan probably didn't even know she was there. Spottedstar had not called a meeting for one kit's desire to join the Clan.

Whipping the grimace from her face, the ginger and white she-cat yowled for all the Clan to hear. "May all cats old enough to catch their own prey gather below the Highbranch for a Clan meeting!"

Clawkit sat by his mothers side as he watched his leader from the tall pine tree from where she called the meeting. Then he thought this would be the perfect time to tell her about it. He quickly ran up "Spottedstar sorry to do this now but I must talk to you about my apprenticeship! It involves me and the other Medicine cats! I-I want to learn about herbs and become Shadowclans medicine cat and in about half a moon I must meet with them again so that I can tell them weather you approve or not! Please !!" he mewed as loud as he could so that she could hear him.

Shadowheart was licking all her kits, their fur plastered against themselves. She nosed them forward, they padded up to see their leader.

There's No Turning

Spottedstar's eyes narrowed as he spoke up. Not because she was angry, but because this was a serious task that a kit was asking for. A loner kit. She looked down at him, interested, but wary. "Clawkit, this is a big decision, and you should have told be earlier. We don't even have a medicine cat to train you." But then again, what had she been expecting? An experienced warrior to take a sudden interest in herbs? That would have been more convinient, true, but how would this work?

Tigerstorm looked up from his freshkill he was eating, raising a brow. What was this all about? His eyes scanned the clearing, seeing all the kits and apprentices gathering. Ah, so they were getting their names. Where was Flora? Lately, he had not been able to go anywhere without the little she-kit popping up with questions and such. Did she choose now to disappear? He got to his feet, shaking his fur and padding over to his leader, sitting down and placing his tail over his paws as he waited for her to continue.

Clawkit looked up to her "Yes Spottedstar I realize this and they said they could train me! and that I could be the kit that Starclan themselves have chosen to become that kit!" he mewed at the top of his voice. So that she could hear.

Days Go By

Her whiskers twitched at this new information. "Do they, now?" Her first response wanted to be something along the lines of not happening, I'm not throwing a kit at other Clan medicine cats, but if it was all true, then this was the only way. "I see. Very well, but we will talk more on the matter later." She flicked her tail in acceptance, then waited for the rest of the Clan to gather. She would need many warriors for so many apprentices.

Tigerfang peaked out from the nursery where he had been most of his days now that his kits were born. He sat by the entrance so that Leafheart knew that he wasn't gone for long and so that she could see or even come and sit beside him if she wanted.

Okay, he had to admit it, he jumped at her voice. Seriously this kit was sneaky! Tigerstorm made his fur lie flat, shaking it to make appear as if a kit hadn't really just spooked him. He glanced to her calmly, chuckling. "Yes, this is where you become an apprentice.....my apprentice." He responded, and he couldn't believe he was saying the last part. He had thought of it before, seeing as he wished to someday try and become deputy and for that you needed an apprentice but...wow. Flora had not been what he had been expecting. All the Queens would laugh and tease when she would rather follow him around and play with him than anyone else. Like he was her father or something. Was this really the way a respected warrior would be seen? He sighed, shking away the thoughts and smiling. "So you're excited eh?"

"Very!"

She smiled up at him, but then frowned.

"Am I.. going to be treated differently? Since.. I wasn't.. well.. Born here?"

Her head shifted to the side, her eyes sparking in curiousity, and with worry.

Tigerstorm frowned, expecting this question would come up sooner or later. Normally, she would have been looked down on a little more but since most of the new apprentices weren't clan born it wouldn't have so much affect on the clan. "No...I wouldn't worry about that as long as you prove yourself as loyal as a clan born cat." He said reassuringly, smiling. "And if a cat does give you trouble, they'll have to mess with me too."

"I will prove myself! I was the smartest cat in my litter!"

She jumped up and down, her whiskers quivering once every while she went on her paws.

"I will be great! I will be just like you warriors!"

She then stopped, and glanced at up at him.

"I will... right? I mean, I know you said I got to prove myself, but would that still make me one?"

She wanted to be one, she really did. And she wanted him to be honest as well.

Tigerstorm smiled, nudging her gently. "I bet you were." He murmured with a chuckle of humor in his voice. He raised a brow when she stopped, ears twitching as he listened to her. He then nodded, flicking her ear gently with his tail. "Yes, if you work hard, you'll be a warrior in no time."
