The [Tiger] in the [Pheonix]

She padded out of the apprentice's den, her fur fluffed up. She sighed, and sat down.

She was licking her flank, her ears flickering. She wanted to train. She wanted to learn. She wanted to be with TigerStorm; training.

When she was finished cleaning herself, she stood back up.

She felt exposed out in the open, but she ignored it, slowly moving over to the warrior's den.

"TigerStorm?"

She whispered in there.

"Phoenixpaw?"

A deep, familiar voice answered her and in a moment the broad shouldered, large muscular warrior stepped out and into the light before the apprentice. He yawned, stretching and shaking his pelt. He looked down to her, a smile spreading across his face. "What is it?"

The she-cat couldn't help but smile back, but then she felt embarrassed under his stern gaze. Well, it probably wasn't stern, but she thought it was.

She looked at her paws, and scuffled them.

"I was thinking.. thinking.. training?"

Her eyes looked up at his, hope filling her optics.

Tigerstorm nodded. "Oh, yes we can. Sorry, getting some sleep after the patrol early this morning. But yes, good idea." He nudged her towards the entrance of camp. "Go on, I'll follow."

PheonixPaw couldn't help but feel relieved, and over come in happiness. She got upright, her tail going in the air at once.

She bounded out of the entrance, but she tumbled right back, bouncing off of some other cat's chest.

She shook her head wildly, her eyes soon openning wide when she realized who's chest it was -- her fathers.

She squeaked, getting up to her paws quickly, hiding behind TigerStorm.

The gray tom looked around, soon moving over to the apprentice who scrambled behind TigerStorm.

"Give me my kit back, Flora!"

He growled.

Tigerstorm had been thinking about what to train for today, he wasn't paying attention to the events going on. Suddenly Phoenixpaw was cowering behind him and this strange tom was infront of him. He frowned, not recognizing his scent. "Phoenixpaw....your kit?" He asked in confusion, glancing down to her then back to the tom.

Clear stared at TigerStorm.

"Yes, Flora is my kit. Flora, come along now."

PheonixPaw squeaked up.

"I'm not Flora! I'm PheonixPaw! I belong here in ShadowClan now, leave me alone!"

Clear growled loudly, trying to get around TigerStorm.

"No, Now! Come on now!"

Now, Tigerstorm got defensive. He sidestepped infront of the apprentice, blocking the tom from getting closer to her. If he tried to, he would have to go against this strong warrior who was not looking very happy anymore. "Her name is Phoenixpaw now. She chose it and she wants to stay. Now I suggest you listen to her and leave Shadowclan territory before I have to use force." He said calmly, yet a slight growl came to his voice.

PheonixPaw's eyes flashed with joy when TigerStorm got defensive, but it soon flashed with fear when his father growled loudly.

"She is my daughter, and her name is Flora. She is coming with me."

He said in a stern voice, anger sparking in his voice. Tension was starting to crackle around the clearing, the apprentice soon hiding underneath the tom soon.

"Dad.. no.. I want to stay.. I-I.."

She trailed off, crouching lower to the ground when his father went to swipe at the tom's feet; an attempt to get PheonixPaw out from under TigerStorm.

That was the last straw. Tigerstorm pushed her behind him then crouhed down, teeth bared. "I said, leave her alone." He hissed, ear flattening as he glared at the tom. His claws unsheathed and his fur rose with hostility.

Clear stared right past TigerStorm, looking at PheonixPaw.

"Flora, we all miss you and love you!"

He pleaded.

PheonixPaw let out an angry hiss of disgust.

"Liar! I don't love you either! I hate you!"

After that, she got up, leapt over TigerStorm, crashing herself onto her father.

Tigerstorm was just about to launch himself at the tom when Phoenixpaw did so first. His eyes widened and he stood up in surprise. "Phoenixpaw...." He murmured, not sure if he should stop her.

PheonixPaw had ignored TigerStorm's surprised murmur, she was focusing on her father.

Her father was surprised as well, falling over on his back, exposing his under-belly. PheonixPaw used that to rake her backclaws roughly on it.

Clear let out a yell, his eyes filling up with tears.

"F-F-Flora..."

PheonixPaw hissed in his face.

"Get out of my territory, before I kill you myself!"

She spat, getting off of him.

She stood beside TigerStorm, her fur bristling with anticipation.

She watched Clear stand up, staggering, tears falling on the ground.

"F-F-Flora.."

Venus was came from the bushes, treading carefully over to Clear, she licked his cheek, her blank eyes turning to Flora, er Phoenixpaw, "Daughter, you could have at least said goodbye. Your father has teared himself apart looking for you, your siblings all miss you, I miss you." a tear fell down her cheek and she leaned into her mate.

PheonixPaw let out a hiss at Venus.

"Couldn't you see what he was trying to do to me? Oh wait -- You can't see! You are blind!"

She let out a snarl.

"I'm tired of you guys! I hate you! Now, get off of ShadowClan territory before I rip both of you apart!"

Her fur was completely up now, fury seeming to swarm right off of her pelt.
