Gathering March 9th

FoxStar looked down at MoonSpirit, and laughed slightly, mostly to herself.

"You think I wouldn't allow that? ShadowClan needs a Medicine Cat, of course, and if the little guy really wants to learn, then he should learn. He shouldn't have to suffer over one cat's decision, since he has done nothing wrong. So, yes, SpottedStar, he may be trained under MoonSpirit's guidance."

She looked over at SpottedStar, and gave a brief smile.

SootClaw looked at CedarClaw, his claws kneading the ground.

"I wouldn't reck it!"

His lips brought back in a snarl.

"I'd be a lot better than any of those leaders up there!"

SunPaw gave Rainwing a glance, and couldn't help but press her nose against his shoulder.

"So, RainWing, how long do you think you will stay? If you get comfortable enough, maybe you can stay!"

She purred.

"You are welcomed! Of course! And fish will get better soon, and we don't just catch fish, FlightPaw. We catch mice, voles, and a squirrel if it comes on our border, which isn't that often, but still!"

The fur on her shoulders bristled, tail lashing back and forth.

Moonspirit smiled and nodded, turning her head to the rest of the leaders, resuming watching the Gathering. She would speak to Clawpaw after.

The Mask I Wear

Spottedstar nodded to Foxstar. "Thank you. You have ShadowClan's thanks." This would make any attack for territory impossible, though, she realized soon after. Clawpaw's training had to come first, and it couldn't be risked by an assault. If any attack was to be made, it would have to be put on hold for a good while.

Hanging Taunts

Cedarclaw looked at the tom with a blank 'oh yeah?' expression. "Right, sure you would be. But I guess it would be hard for even you to be worse off than Foxstar." Her orange eyes narrowed slightly. "But hey. You might be able to do it."

Defiance

Flightpaw's eyes narrowed into tiny slits. There was no way Rainwing would ever want to stay among the stench of fish that the RiverClan cats wore. "Don't forget, he's our medicine cat. Rainwing's just lending a helping paw, he'll be back soon." The tabby didn't bother to put on a sweet face this time. "And cross the boarder or not, that's ThunderClan prey. Besides, from the look of you, you've eaten plenty of prey. If I didn't know better, I'd say you were a kittypet." Her eyes flashed again.

FoxStar nodded her head politely at SpottedStar.

"Of course."

SootClaw smirked at CedarClaw, and gave a brief wink, going back to his flirtatious state.

"Ey, you would do better than any of those cats on that great rock."

He pushed his flank against hers, trying to get her to steam.

SunPaw snorted.

"Soon? What if MiracleFur never returns? Then he'll have to stay. Which, I don't think she will."

She purred softly, and then her eyes narrowed.

"Not nessicarily, it's on our border. And yes, eaten plenty."

Then her teeth gritted, but then smiled.

"Kittypet? Ey, I'm no kittypet, I'm an apprentice who's growing, unlike you!"

She pointed her tail to FlightPaw, SunPaw soon scooting closer to RainWing.

Cringing At The Past

Cedarclaw shrugged. "Maybe. But all the same, I-" She cut off when the tom warrior got close, their pelts touching. Her eyes blazed open, and she quickly shot to the side with a furious snarl. "Should've known. You never change," she spat. How could she have let her guard down? See? This is what happens. You talk to a tom like he's just a cat, and they push it. The tortoiseshell warrior kept her fangs bared at him as her short fur bristled.

Inside My Mind

The she-cat wrinkled her nose. "Humph. If your rouge medicine cat doesn't come back, then that's RiverClan's problem. You'll have to find a willing kit, just like what ShadowClan is doing. You can't just take our medicine cat; Dappledfrost won't be around forever." At her next remark, Flightpaw lashed out her tail. Then she regained her composition with a superior looking smile. "That's because I'm older than you. I'm almost full grown. If I wanted to grow more I'd stuff my face with fish like RiverClan do."

Closing Time

Spottedstar looked about to the other leaders, then flicked her ears. "If we all have spoken, then there's no reason to continue this Gathering. Any last words?"

Rainwing smiled to Sunpaw as she touched his shoulder with her nose. He did have some feelings for her, but he had been unsure ever since his talk with Dappledfrost. She had spoke of Starclan having special plans for him but this could take away his gifts? He wasn't sure he wanted that. He winced when he heard Flightpaw's words, looking to her uneasily. "That's true, Thunderclan will always be my home. But I don't think she looks like a kittypet...." He trailed off, hoping these two didn't each others fur off.

SunPaw's eyes flashed, and then shrugged.

"I don't stuff my face with fish, unlike the others. If you haven't noticed, I'm skinner than most."

She smiled back at RainWing, and gave a soft purr. She really did like this tom, and she was glad that he was actually sticking up for her, and not FlightPaw.

Goodbye

Hearing no voices pipe up, Spottedstar raised her chin to the moon. "This Gathering is over. May StarClan light our paths." The leader swished her tail to get the attention of her Clan before leaping down off the rock toward them. She wanted to get out of there before any new attacks were thrown between ShadowClan and ThunderClan. The leader signaled for the Clan to follow, and began heading back toward the camp.

That's The Way You Want

Flightpaw's eyes widened. What was he saying? Was Rainwing actually giving into that RiverClan fake? She felt as if the ground had just given way, letting her fall into the bottomless pit. She strained to keep her voice in tack as she spoke. "Fine, if that's what you think. See you." Fighting a sorrowful yowl, the caramel colored she-cat turned and ran back toward the ThunderClan camp, not caring if she was leaving her Clan behind. She just wanted to get out of there.

Stand Up

The tortoiseshell let her fur fall back down, but her expression remained in place. "No. If that's what you want, go chase some other she-cat's tail. But leave me out of it." Cedarclaw watched Spottedstar jump down, and felt relieved that the Gathering was over. She felt a need to go chase a rabbit and get away from this crowd- this tom in particular.

Moonspirit bounded over to Spottedstar, "When can we talk about Clawpaw's training?" she mewed, her eye searching Spottedstar's.

Set Down The Laws

Spottedstar stopped and turned to face Moonspirit. She had nearly forgotten in her hast to leave. "We can talk now, if you wish." The leader turned her head to find Shadowfang and flicked her tail in signal for her deputy to lead the Clan back, then beckoned Clawpaw to come over. Having done that, she turned back to the medicine cat. "Best get things straight sooner rather than later. When would you be able to teach him? I know you have your own Clan to look after, as well."

"I was hoping, maybe he could come to WindClan for a little bit. I can't leave the den for longer than one night for at least a moon more and Clawpaw is more than a Moon overdue in training. But if he does stay it wouldn't for long periods of time. Like, a quarter moon then he can go back, then come back." she mewed. "I would like to say I would treat him like any WindClan apprentice of mine."

Thinking

Spottedstar twitched her whiskers. The idea of Clawpaw being gone for so long from ShadowClan camp bothered her, but she had to remind herself that he wouldn't get anything done there. Only in the WindClan camp would he get the training he needed, and possibly RiverClan if something could be worked out with Rainwing without Tanglestar knowing. "I trust you would treat him well... Yes, your idea sounds good. Perhaps I could escort him over in a few days? Every day wasted is another day ShadowClan has no medicine cat," she pointed out.

FoxStar gave a brief sniff, before taking slow steps down the great rock. Her ears flickered, and signalled with her tail that it was time to go.

SootClaw sneered, and moved closer to CedarClaw.

"That's not happenin'."

He noticed the flick of FoxStar's tail, swishing his under CedarClaw's chin.

SunPaw couldn't help but purr, giving RainWing a secret lick on the shoulder.

"Thanks.. for sticking up for me."

Bite To Kill

"Might as well. You're not getting anywhere with me," Cedarclaw growled, reaching out her jaws quickly to bite the tail. Whether it worked or not, the tortoiseshell warrior didn't linger on it. After the gesture she quickly padded around the tom and followed after her leader with swift paws prickling with irritation.
