I'll Fight Back

Flightpaw wasn't really paying attention to what the leaders were saying. Her hazel eyes had drifted toward Rainwing. She had been trying to think of what to say to him, to start up a conversation, when a RiverClan apprentice made the first move. It made her paws prickle. What was she doing? Acting friendly toward someone outside her Clan? Of course, Rainwing was covering for the rouge medicine cat of hers, but that didn't mean... Eyes narrowed, the brown apprentice made her way through the crowd over toward them. She sat on the opposite side of Rainwing from Sunpaw. "Hey, she mewed cheerfully, as if Sunpaw was not there. "How are things going?"

Sneaking Around

Spottedstar's eyes narrowed. The WindClan's leader's news was shocking... And also a possibility. "What are you saying, Foxstar? You've been leading all this time without your lives? Without StarClan's approval?" She tried to keep the gleam out of her eyes. This situation could turn favorable if she played it right.

Sunpaw slid farther away from RainWing when FlightPaw spoke. SunPaw glanced over at FlightPaw, anger gripping her optics, then flew away.

"I'm doing fine, Thank you."

She mew'd, if anyone really paid attention to her voice, you could tell that there was fierce, cold words there.

FoxStar looked at SpottedStar, and sighed.

"What am I supposed to do, SpottedStar? Go back and beg for them? It isn't my choice to decide, and it isn't my fault, now is it?"

Did she do something bad? She shouldn't of said anything, but it was too late to bring that back, and even if someone told her not to back at camp, she would of anyways.

SootClaw stared up at his leader, and hissed. She shouldn't of spread that! Now the clans will be trying to chase their rabbits, and take their territory!

Wheals Turning

Spottedstar just nodded in understanding. "I see," she mewed. Very interesting. This was taking a good turn. "Well, don't worry too much about it. We all know, now, and we understand." Yes, they understood plenty. She glanced down to Foxstar's warriors. They seemed upset that their leader had chosen to tell her sad tale. Oh, well. Too late now.

So Much Bad

Cedarclaw had a grimace on her face, but she kept quiet. She had promised herself to be more loyal to Foxstar, not just WindClan. But she couldn't make herself agree with what her leader had revealed to every cat in the forest. She could tell Spottedstar was already thinking, those amber eyes gleaming with thoughts. Glancing at Sootclaw, she found that for once she could agree with him on something.

Suspicion

Flightpaw glared at the other apprentice. Her paws were prickling with agitation. "I don't believe I was talking to you," se mewed coldly, a hiss just slipping into her voice. What right did this she-cat have to talk so friendly to Rainwing? Did she like him? Was there something going on? If there is, I won't let it happen.

Firestar didn't say anything, I guess I'm lucky, I don't deserve lives but I have them. She thought, But without my lives I would be dead wouldn't I. It was so confusing... She nodded to herself then turned her attention back to the gathering, her eyes sparked and she held her head as a leader should, high, but not too high. "Foxstar, maybe you should go back. Maybe something prevented StarClan from giving them to you then, and they can now." she suggested, "Going back can't do anything but good. The worse thing that could happen is you don't dream."

FoxStar's neck craned over to FireStar, hackles rising.

"I will not go back."

I.. don't even remember dreaming.

"I just won't! They won't, I just know it. There was nothing going on then, and I don't expect anything to happen now."

Her claws unsheathed, scraping against the great rock.

SootClaw noticed CedarClaw's glance, which only made him wink at her. He slinked over towards her, but this time, he wasn't talking like a flirt, okay, it still slithered on his voice, but still.

"FoxStar shouldn't of said anything, eh?"

He muttered.

SunPaw glared at the she-cat, her eyes narrowing.

"I don't care if you were talking to me. If you say something, with you, then you refer anybody around."

Her hackles rose, but she let them lie flat. She never had a quarrel with anybody, not until now.

If this she-cat thought she was getting RainWing, she was dead wrong. Sunpaw would keep trying, and use her sparkling charm. RainWing was hers.

Stop Everything

Spottedstar waved her tail for peace. "I agree, Foxstar. It's best not to go crawling back. StarClan aren't stupid or fickle- if they didn't give you your lives then, I doubt they will give you them now." Her whiskers twitched. She didn't want to let her get the idea.

Just You Try

Flightpaw lifted her chin a bit, not too much but enough to get her point across. She had no intention of backing down. "True, but I was implying to Rainwing. If you had any sense in your head, you would know that." Her hazel eyes narrowed in challenge, just asking for the other apprentice to fight back.

C o m p l i c a t i o n

Normally Cedarclaw would have chosen to spit back a sharp retort, but instead she just flicked an ear. There were more important matters at hand than this tom's irritating personality. The tortoiseshell growled softly. "No, she should've kept it a secret. Now the other Clans will get ideas, think we're weak." Her claws dug into the earth. She wanted to yowl. "I want to support Foxstar, but it's not easy to."

Firestar cringed for a moment. She just wanted to be light with her and help. She sighed and nodded, "I guess StarClan would tell you to come back anyway." She mewed, mostly to herself.

Rainwing had picked his head up at the nudge from Sunpaw and smiled lightly to her. She could at least make him feel a little better in this situation, though the words from Dappledfrost still haunted the back of his thoughts. He was about to say something when Flightpaw came over to his other side. He turned back to her to respond and then....they started at it. He frowned, looking between the two unhappily. This was not good...First of all, could he be seen with two she-cats flanking him? He was a medicine cat after all, not a young free warrior. And now they were fighting? Oh no..."I'm doing good, and it's good to see that you both are doing well too. Flightpaw, Sunpaw." He replied to both of them, giving them both a look.

Jealous Thorns

Flightpaw eagerly looked away from Sunpaw to Rainwing, a new light in her eyes brightening her previously dark face. It was as if the RiverClan she-cat had never been there, nor had he just said her name. She seemed oblivious to the look he had thrown the both of them, for she just smiled back. "I'm better than fine! I'm going to have my ceremony soon. I'll finally be a full warrior!" she purred, casting a quick sneer past Rainwing and to Sunpaw. No doubt he would realize who was the better. They were both apprentices, still, while he was a full medicine cat. Once she was a warrior, Sunpaw would just be a sad apprentice padding after him.

SunPaw curled her lips back in a snarl, about the retort something, until RainWing butted in. She noticed the look FlightPaw gave RainWing, which made SunPaw's fur fluff out.

"RainWing, I'm so glad that you're at my camp now, because you are always so cheery!"

She had to rub that in, for FlightPaw wasn't a RiverClan apprentice, which made her grin. At least, that was a bonus.

She never hated a cat in her entire life, until now, and she could tell that sneer was meant for her, trying to make her feel... jealous. Didn't work.

"You deserve it, after all, aren't you one of the oldest?"

She narrowed her eyes slightly. She didn't know if that was true or not, but it should tick her off just a bit. FlightPaw was older than her, she knew that, which gave her a higher chance... but SunPaw had experiences with RainWing, probably more than FlightPaw.

FoxStar nodded slightly, and calmed down. Her fur flattened, and her claws sheathed. She blinked.

"FireStar... do you have anything to add?"

She obviously wanted this gathering to end.

SootClaw nodded at CedarClaw.

"Agreed."

He growled, mostly at the idea.

"You would of made a better leader than her, that's for sure."

This time, he was actually serious, not flirting at all.

"Well, yes. We have several new warriors, and many new kits as Newleaf brightens our path with warmth and sunlight. Prey is running good and all our apprentice and becoming fine Warriors." She mewed, then she nodded and turned to the other leaders. "Is that all?" she mewed.

"SpottedStar has to speak."

She replied, her fur kneading the rock impatiently.

Who's That Girl?

Flightpaw's eyes flashed. This she-cat knew how to get under her fur, too. She knew she couldn't do anything about Rainwing's leave but that made her even more angry. "Yeah, Rainwing, the camp will be so dreary with you gone. But at least you'll come back eventually." Her tail swished out behind her softly. The smile on her face was all for show. The lightly colored tabby was a very jealous she-cat, through and through, and she knew it. But that didn't matter. "We can't have you over there forever! But you do deserve to visit a new camp, see the sights. Just don't get too used to fish while you're over there. The squirrels on our side of the boarder and much better."

Deny Everything

Cedarclaw rolled her eyes. "Yeah, right. I'd never be a good leader. Just not my rabbit of choice." Because I can't even take care of my apprentice. How could I take care of a whole Clan? Her inner doubts made her wince, but she quickly covered it up with her familiar, slightly irritated face. "I've never wanted that job, really. You could have it. Maybe you'd mess up the Clan even more." She had ended on a taunt to move over her previous expression. As a younger warrior she'd dreamed of being a leader just like any other. But she had never felt disappointed when another cat was chosen as deputy. But did that make her uninterested?

Don't Count Me Out

Spottedstar lifted her chin with narrowed eyes. "Yes, if you all haven't forgotten," she mewed coldly. She took a step forward so that attention would fall on her.

"We have come out of leaf-bare strong and with plenty of prey. There are now new kits in the nursery, and we have many new apprentices. Three new warriors have been made, they being Carefeather, Whispertail, and Stargaze." She paused for their recognition by the other Clans before speaking again. "But outside the news of our large Clan's growth, I come with this to say.

"One of our apprentices, Clawpaw, has decided to follow the path of a medicine cat. Unfortunately, we have no medicine cat to teach him in their ways. So I come with a proposition. ThunderClan has already stated their mind about this," she flicked her tail toward Tanglestar bitterly, "and its known that Miraclefur has left RiverClan, at least for a time. So I ask WindClan now." She looked back to Foxstar. "I ask if your medicine cat, Moonspirit, will take the time to train Clawpaw in her ways?"

Moonspirit's eyes widened, she looked to her leader. "May I Foxstar, I have no apprentice of my own." She mewed pleadingly. Her blue moonlike eyes pleaded for Foxstar to agree.

Ooc: Psst! Rainwing is with Riverclan at the moment, he can help with the training too!

Rainwing sighed, knowing he wasn't going to get through to either of them. All he could do was sit there and listen to them snap at one another, a look of helplessness on his face. He tried to listen to the meeting as they spoke of Clawpaw and his future but he soon was drawn back to the quarrel. He smiled lightly to both of them. "I do miss being in Thunderclan, Flightpaw, I haven't quite grown a taste for fish yet. But I am needed in Riverclan till Miraclefur returns, I'm glad I have been welcomed Sunpaw..." He murmured, trying to make peace between the two.
(This would be a good time for Flairpaw...or whatever his name is now xD)
