Silverpelt sat there with her ears drawn back. She was beginning to snarl. Maybe she should leave it would be easier as a kittypet. If it makes her clanmates happy! She was tired of this. Everyone always yelled at her it wasn't her fault for suggesting stuff. She began to bristle. Beside sMonnshine didn't have to act like she respected eating snakes. Anyways what did a Shadowclan cat know anything! She was about to storm out of here. But she got ahold of her temper and sat down and let her fur lie flat.

Whitekit sensed every emotion and thought by Silverpelt. She drooped her tail and glared at Moonshine and Dirtfur. Why were they so mean to Silverpelt. She turned to Silverpelt and said "You don't mean it do you. You won't leave right! You won't you promised!". She was outraged Silverpelt promised to stay by Whitekit's side when she was barely one moon old. She couldn't believe what was happening, she didn't want this not now not ever!

Silverpelt stared at Whitekit she was surprised. She knew what she was talking about, but how did she know she was thinking about leaving. She turned back to Dirtfur and Moonshine those two were like a walking nightmare. They probably went to the dark forest. But she didn't care, she wanted to know how Whitekit knew she was leaving. She said "How did you know I was thinking about leaving?".

Whitekit perked up she didn't relize what she said. She stammered "I- I just well... Ummm... You were... Your... Uhhh... I'm hungry! Bye!". She ran of quickly but she knew she couldn't hide forever from Silverpelt. She stopped half-way and turned back. she went straight back to Silverpelt and said "Well, the truth is I always know how you feel or wha your thinking. I don't know how it just... comes to me.".

Silverpelt was astonished she didn't know what to say at all. She looked at Riddlestar, Dirtfur, Moonshine, and Tanglekit. She shut her mouth and her eyes were wide with surprise. She said "Riddlestar did you know anything?/ Also before you answer my question, Dirtfur and Moonshine I ment no intention to starve "our" clan. My pride does not get in the way of my commen sense. If you think I can't take care of "our" clan just say the word!".

Tanglekit rolled her eyes as the warriors began to bicker pointlessly. Tanglestar was just craving to rip through and tell the lot of them to shut up. Since she no longer had her old body she had lost her patience for other's problems. Tanglekit however had no patience for bickering among clan-mates. She moved away from the kits and returned to her leaders side. She felt comfortable and safe next to Riddlestar. She pressed back into the nook between his foreleg and his chest. Her fur mingled in his and her tiny frame was almost lost in him. Some kits considered him a bit scary because of his appearance, his one eye and his mangled paw. But she knew better than to fear him because of looks. She had never judged anyone on appearance. The little kit kept her voice low, just loud enough for Riddlestar to hear. "We need help from the other clans. We can't fish or hunt for snakes, we have been taught to fear snakes. We can't survive alone and neither can they. Have you been to their territories edge. Riverclan and Shadowclan territories have been wiped out and now they need shelter. What will be done?", she asked peering through Tanglestar's eyes.

The dead leader knew that it was not fair for her to control the little kit like this, but now was the most critical time and she had to direct the clans to the right path. Without her guidance they might be led to war and if they chose that path the clans couldn't survive. And with hardly any warriors to keep the clan alive war would be a disaster. She also wanted them to be able to avoid the other clans trying to take over territory. "It is up to you and Windclan to keep the peace.",she mewed in the same hushed tone. She knew that the clans had always had their differences but now was not the time to struggle with each other. They had to work as a family if they expected to get through the moons to come.

Her pelt bristled slightly as she watched the warriors squabble. And then she heard what Whitekit had said and couldn't help but stare at her with confused eyes. She didn't know if it was just an inkling, or if a cat from Starclan watched over this kit as she watched over Tanglekit. She knew that soon she would have to leave this body and wasn't sure when she would return but she needed Riddlestar to know that she would always be there for them. "I will be at highstones if you ever need me. I will be watching her.", she sighed and with that she left the kit and returned to the starry outreaches.

Tanglekit shook her head and she looked up at her leader. "Why do they fight so much over snakes, they are gross.", the little kit squeaked. She never remembered what happened when the starry cat took her over, her memory just picked up where it had stopped, like sleep.

Whitekit waved her tail flawlessly from side to side. She didn't know if anyone believed her. Did Tanglekit believe her, she wondered? She turned to where Tanglekit was sitting and asked "You believe me right?". She wanted someone she trusted to support her. She knew Tanglekit was special. Not many people knew she was named after their great leader Tanglestar. She heard many stories about Tanglestar. She wished she could meet her sometimes. But she is glad she was born when Tanglekit was born. She turned to the group of warriors then back to Tanglekit. She looked up at Riddlestar,and she flattened her ears. she sounded crazy saying this stuff. I mean really who would say that!

Silverpelt was confused, astonished, and a bit concerned. She looked at Riddlestar then at Dirtfur and Moonshine. She didn't know what to say. Did Riddlestar know what Whitekit was talking about? She didn't know. Anyways how did Whitekit-- When did-- How long?

Riddlehawk stared at all of the cats then raised himself onto all four of his paws. His mangled paw was slightly higher than the unmangled one, the one he had himself leaning on. He surveyed the cats, and with a flick of his tail he started limping away. He had no patience for squabbling and bickering among his clanmembers and if he had to keep listening to it, he'd go back to the part of him that died along with Tanglestar. The vicious and bloodthirsty part that had killed Froststorm. His notched ears flickered as he took in the sounds of his favorite place, a big rock near the edge of camp that was in constant sunlight. He leapt up onto it, laying down and closing his eye.

Whitekit stared from Riddlestar to Tanglekit to Silverpelt. After quick thinking she bounded after riddlestar. She wondered if Tanglekit would follow her. Soon she came to where Riddlestar was lieing and she jumped on the rock. It felt warm underpaw and she started to relax. It felt nice to be warm after all that fighting. All this hunger and flooding was driving the clans to chaos. She closed her eyes quietly and had a flashback. She was in the nursery with her mother. She felt warm... and happy. She felt like she tasted milk. She must've just eaten. She looked towards the nursery entrance. silverpelt had just entered the nursery. She started to lick her tiny paws quietly. She opened her eyes to see Silverpelt standing over her. Silverpelt said "I will always be by your side.". Just like she remembered.

She came back to the present and opened her eyes in the flash she didn't know what happened. She looked quietly at Riddlestar and asked "What will happen to the clans? Will we have to leave?". She flattened her ears sadly and her tail drooped.

Silverpelt sighed and quietly swished her tail back and forth. She looked sadly at the sky. Her mother died painfully. She didn't want to suffer by leaving her clan. She got up quietly and left camp maybe she'll find something to eat.
