Ferncloud had been carried back to the camp and was mesmerized at how well these clan cats survived. Even with the devastation of the flood they seemed to thrive in this place. She felt pride swell in her chest that she had the chance to live among this mighty clan. From what Foxflight had told her she had been a warrior among there ranks, but even now she couldn't remember ever being trained. But fighting was one of the primal things she remembered. They had slowly made their way to the medicine cats den and she had been treated to the best they could provide. She felt so much better now and had started to remember a few things since the swelling behind her ears had gone down. But they were just tiny insignificant things like the feel of her mother when she had been born. The smell of milk, and the taste of her first catch. She also remembered her parents and that she had been born outside of the camp. She had remembered her name Koella before she had been brought here. And her new name given her at apprenticeship 'Fern'.
She felt at peace finally being out of the open and her den in this dark medicine cats den was most comforting. She had been glad to hear that Foxflight had promised not to leave her. Relief had been so overwhelming when he had vowed to stay with her. She peeked around the dark den wondering if he was still with her. She understood he would have to leave her for such a reason as food and rest and other unmentionables. But he had returned since she had been out of it the last few days. She hoped that soon she would be able to remember him, and that she would finally be able to soothe his pain with the truth that she remembered. He head still ached as a reminder of what had happened to her in that chocking black water.
Her paws itched to leave the den and soon enough she would if they didn't let her soon. She was restless. After eating a few well needed meals she had recovered her strength and was eager to rejoin her clan-mates hoping they might be able to help her re-jog her memories.
