Leo sat by the River, her paw hanging over the edge and dragging in the bubbling stream. Her eyes were droopy and was looking rather drowsy.

Conto pushed his way through the poppies, following a familiar scent. At last he found it laying beside the river, her belly surprisingly plump. Too amused for a hello, the aged tom walked over. "Well, well, well, if it isn't little old Leo. I never thought I'd see you in this shape. Expecting and sleepy. What happened to the Leo of LurkClan I used to know?" The grey-brown tom sighed and made a tut-tut sound.

Leo sighed, she was getting awfully tired of being made fun of by mindless cats like these. "I'm having kits! Why do you care? Fallenstar was a father!" she snarled, looking over her shoulder.

The tom shrugged. "That's true. But you just seemed like the kind of she-cat who would kill before having to deal with little tikes. Actually, you must accidently cut a throat when they get too annoying. Or go off hunting, forget, and find them all missing when you return." A smile danced across his lips. It had been too long since he had exchanged a few harsh words with this particular she-cat. He had missed it.

Leo shrugged, "I have my mate!" she shot back. She turned her gaze back to the rhythmic water.

Conto chuckled. "Wait, you actually mean that you found a tom who can tolerate you? My, what I time I've missed out on." He sat himself down nearby, a bit far off in case Leo decided to lash out. "So who is he? What's his name?"

"Cicatrice." she said whipped her head back at him. She got up and stretched.

"Cicatrice, huh? I think I've heard that name somewhere before." He pondered the thought. "Oh, yes. He was there when I met up with Wolfpaw and Snowfeather. Showed some interest in LurkClan, I think. Decent cat by your standards I suppose."

Leo growled, "Your dirt compared to Cicatrice!" she snarled, "LurkClan is gone! It was weak!"

His ears flicked a bit, sitting in a tree near by. He knew Leo knew he was there, but he didn't suspect the tom to know.

He was far back on the trunk, so his black raggy fur was hidden from sight. He kept staring, making sure Conto wouldn't do a think to Leo, if he did, Conto would have to fall down to the bottom of the gorge and die.

His lips curved in a small smile at the thought, but then it still shown, from Leo's remarks. It was all so true.

"Gone for now, maybe. It's being worked on." He flicked his tail dismissivly. "And it's not like I'm jelous of Cicatrice. I really couldn't care either way if you died with a mate or died alone. I just never thought you'd end up tied down like this." His smiled spread a bit farther. He could now scent the tom, hiding away somewhere. Let him. There's nothing to wait around for.

Leo flicked her tail, "I mean he is stronger, smarter and lets just say... Better than you!" she snarled. "We don't spend our days finding cats and shooting insults at them!"

Conto's yellow eyes gleamed. "That's all probably true. I'm an old cat, now. I's not hard to be better than me."

She rolled her eyes, she shrugged. She turned around and sat by the Stream, watching the water.

His ears flicked a bit, slowly walking along the branch. A creaking noise was being made, since of his weight. Although, the branch didn't break.

He walked along it slowly, letting it slowly droop, and when the edge of the branch fell to the ground, he hopped off.

He let out a smile.

"Ey, Leo. Ey, Conto."

He let out a grin, and slowly padded over to Leo, his bobtail flicking.
