Firestar padded from the bushes, "Moonlight?", then an astonished expression filled her face... though she was astonished to see Clawtooth. "Moonlight?! Wait! I need to speak to Moonlight alone..." she said.

Moonlight's gaze widened as she saw her leader come through the bushes. Fear rushed through her as here heart started to pound "F-firestar ..I-I-I please don't kick me out of the clan I have my kits and..." she was at a loss of words to explain herself...

Firestar shook her head, "I just need to talk to you... ALONE."

Clawtooth stepped back, "Just shout if you need me!" he said, then he padded away into the bushes.

Firestar padded beside her, "I am not going to kick you out of the clan Moonlight. I need to tell you something but you cannot tell any other cat, not even that ShadowClan warrior." she said sternly.

She just nodded her head in understanding "I keep it if you keep mine..." she mewed she didn't want to lose Clawtooth. She looked at her leader waiting for her to say what was so important.

Firestar took a deep breath, "I'm Pregnant." she said, she avoided her gaze.

Her eyes grew twice the size they were when she spooked her and Clawtooth. Moonlight just nodded and wonder what it could be that her leader that she though wasn't trusting her could want and why she would be telling her that.

"I need you to take my kits after they are weaned." she said, "But It is a secret. Only LeopardClaw, me and Miriclefur know. I will have them outside of camp, then at night I will bring them to my den and they will stay there until you can take them in with your kits. I would ask any other cat, but you told me about your kits and I want them to be happy..." she trailed off, a tear falling down her face. "I would tell the clan but... well... After Crookedstar I want them to feel safe."

Leopardclaw had heard the words his mate spoke. Why couldn't they just keep them hidden in the forest until they are weaned. Why did some other she-cat have to act as their mother. Tears leaked down his eyes. How would he visit. Leopardclaw didn't want anj unclan-born looking after his kits he wanted it to be just him and Firestar. He whined before charging through the forest. He ran until he had made it to the spot where he had met Bia. He curled up and cried thinking about his little kits and how he would never get to visit them.

Firestar heard him and charged, she followed him and hid in a bush. She realized it was same bush she had hidden it when she saw Leopardclaw and Bis together. Her mouth went fry and she watched. She had totally forgotten about Moonlight.
