The large tom was sitting by the creek, his nose wrinkling a bit. He was focusing on the stream, which now had ice floating in it, and passing by.

He felt like when he stared upon the stream, his memories go away as well, the sad ones.

Luna padded up from behind him "The fish shall return in new-leaf, morning love how are you doing" she mewed then sat down beside him starting to the river flow by. There home was cozy and they had it all to themselves, Mice were plentiful and new-leaf was around the coner.

He rolled his shoulders in a shrug.

"I'm fine. How about yourself?"

His ears flickered, still staring at the river. He let out a deep sigh, remembering how much he loved this river when he was little.

She looked to him and smiled "I am good, its a beautiful day and the barn is packed with mice" she mewed happily to report. As the leaves slightly rustled in the leaf-bare breeze. She wondered if any of the other cats may come back? but they had stayed away for along time. There was also a chance that the sickness could come back but she didn't let her mind fill with these worries she let them slide.

She smiled as birds flew winding around and around each other. New-leaf so close yet so far...she thought of fresh new flowers, the green grass, new life...and kits, she loved them so. She loved to plan comfy places for them to stay an where and what they could play with...they were so full of joy and life. Then they could cause some real trouble hiding on you and running off then not wanting to go to bed yet you would still love them afterwards.

Zimlock just nodded, staring at the icy river. He noticed that the rocks in the river was still there, so they could get across.

He smiled softly, but then perked his head up over towards the bushes on the other side. A she-cat padded out, one he recongized. She had leopard-patterned spots, a bobtail, and her ears were odd. Extra fur was propping up at the top of her ear.

She stared at them.

"It's.. still alive?"

It was Salmarine, the queen from long ago, who didn't believe the two-leg story. She got away soon, still having her kits in her stomach, and now they are here, together. She told her kits to stay behind while she checked this out, although they are too old to travel with her, but she ignored it.

Luna turned to see the newcomers appear from the bushes, and ran to her as she started to look around. She came till she stood in front of her and sat down "The colony is dead..most of them either got captured by the Two-legs, died of green cough or left because they wanted a new place to live" she mewed in greeting to them "I stayed here with my family and claimed it as my territory after they died...who are you?"she explained and questioned who she was. She was after all just a kit when they all left.

Salmarine blinked, her ears flipping back.

"I knew that most of us has died, but I didn't suspect so little to remain. I managed to escape while the Two-legs were attacking, just as.. Omizhe said.."

She looked at the rather large tom, not even recongizing who he was.

Luna turned her head to Zimlock and back to her "That is him but he goes by his new name Zimlock and he is my mate" she mewed happily with pride shinning in her eyes. "he and I Luna you might remember me a Lunara, live here in the barn"she mewed. "why have you now decided to come back?"she asked with curiosity.

Salmarine blinked.

"Interesting.. I always thought you two would be a couple."

The other question had baffled this she-cat, and she snorted.

"Why wouldn't I? You think I would just stay out there, and risk the life of our colony? I see nothing is really left, but you know exactly what I mean."

She stated.

"Zimlock we have a guest can you come over here?" she mewed turning her head to face him. She looked back to the other she-cat and looked at her misunderstanding and stood back up "you didn't answer my question why are you back? and like I said before this is our territory now" she mewed. This was Luna's defensive and territorial side and was wondering if she was trying to find herself and kits a new home....this was her and Zimlock's home and she wouldn't let it go that fast. She had lived in the barn for years now and liked it there...

"Are you protecting the colony's land? This belongs to all, not a single family."

She stated, her eyes moving over to Zimlock.

"I know..but my parents and me lived here long after the colony died and claimed it as our own...I then lived here for moons and called it home"she mewed then turned to Zimlock in surprise.."what do you mean...?"

Salmarine glared at the she-cat.

"No one can claim this land as their own, for it belongs to the colony."

She stated again.

"I have a right to be on the colony's land. This can not be claimed as your own."

She huffed a bit, sitting right where she was.
