{Needle} Breaking the {Ice}

NeedleHeart felt Ice on her back, which made her shake. She knew who it was, but she couldn't bare this.

"Just go!"

She growled, getting off of Leo.

"I was clearly mistaken on who you were, who you were on the inside!"

She didn't mention that she killed her mother, so she didn't care about mothers at all.

She limped off, ears against her head. This was way too much to bare, she wanted FrostStorm to be avenged, but if Ice didn't want that, then he could leave.

Aradox watched this with horror, his limbs shaking. His claws were unsheathed, and dug in the ground.

Leo jumped for Needleheart's throat, her teeth clamping on whatever fur she caught, holding tight as she pulled with her back paws and slashing at Needleheart's legs.

Laying On The Floor

Ice had still been on Needleheart's back when Leo went for her throat, jaws open to try to explain things to her. But the impact from his mother's attack sent him flying off to the ground, landing with a thud. He opened his eyes, seeing the world sway around him. The fall hadn't hurt him, just stunned. He staggered to get to his paws, mewing, "No..."

NeedleHeart heard her coming, swervering to the left, only having her shoulder bitten. She hissed, her right hand swatting at the she-cat's eyes, but claws sheathed.

"Did you not hear your son? He doesn't want us to fight, you fool!"

She growled.

Leo hissed, "I will not let you take my baby!" her jaws snapped at Needleheart's crippled leg.

She managed to swerver away slightly, only her paw getting nipped.

She held the pain in, and growled.

"I just told him to get lost with you, do you not listen?!"

She hissed.

Leo hissed and narrowed her eyes, she watched her for a moment longer before looking away and picking up Ice, following Cicatrice's scent.

NeedleHeart sat there, panting. She was watching all of this unravel, making her fur prickle.

There goes my chance with revenge... I actually liked having him around.

MiracleFur came out of no where, and padded up to Leo.

"I-Ice belongs with u-us."

She was a bit nervous, since she knew who this cat was and her reputation, and she knew almost nothing about fighting.

Leo dropped Ice softly, "I am his mother, he belongs with me, and his family. He has a father, brothers and a sister, and he has me. Now stay away!" she picked up her kit and padded away.

MiracleFur took another step infront of Leo, her eyes wide.

"You may be his mother, and he may have a family, but he moved on. Not in that way, but we are training him, and trying to help him. I will not just sit around, and watch you take a kit away from me, from our family. Now put him down, and give him to me."

She stood up, her limbs trembling. She couldnt' believe she was doing this, but she had to.

Leo put him down again, "Ice is not a piece of meat I can just give to you, he is my son. If you ever had kits you would understand." she spat, "Don't worry about his training. I will train him, and I am much better than you Clan-cats"

"I would never have kits, but I think of him as my own sometimes. Although, I am forbidden to that, since I was a medicine cat, and I still am."

She looked at Ice, and then at Leo.

"No, you are not better. Not at all."

Back Me Up

Now having recovered from his brief period of daze, Ice stood where his mother had placed him with worry prickling his paws. "But Momma, there's something I have to do here. And besides- after I left you guys I lived with RiverClan for a little while, and they didn't seem so bad. Needleheart and Miraclefur and I aren't even living with them anymore, anyways." He was tripping over words, he was trying to explain so quickly. He looked gratefully to Miraclefur, tender feeling forming toward the she-cat, then looked back to his mother. "Can I at least stay with them for a little while? There's stuff I have to do."

"I was trained by LurkClan!" She snapped, "And Ice is not yours! He is mine, and he always was!" she spat, picking him up and sharply turning into the forest, running at top speed.

MiracleFur bowled herself into Leo, and pinned her down. She clearly ignored Ice, but now she was going to listen.

MiracleFur growled.

"Listen to what he has to say, and be a good mother!"

Her tail lashed back and forth.
