Don't Tell Anyone

Thorn was padding back toward the tree-den, a blackbird and squirrel held captive in his jaws. His head still felt light with memories of Rose in the poppy fields. She had made him feel happy, excited and lively. Tearing himself away had been hard, but he could forget that Tara was hopefully still waiting for him.

The gray tabby was trying hard not to think about the twinge of guilt that seemed to prod him in the side when he thought about what he'd done. He'd decided that nothing he had done was that bad. So, he'd been friendly with Rose. Maybe something a little more. But otherwise, it wasn't like he'd killed any cat. He still loved Tara, and he knew it. How could those feelings be bad?

Pushing it away from his mind, Thorn began looking for Tara. Would she still be here?

The beautiful she cat purred from the bushes, jumping out and rubbing against the tom. "Gotcha!" She purred, nuzzling into him.

You Found Me

Thorn hadn't noticed her coming, so he dropped the prey in surprise. But it was a good kind of surprise. He purred along with her, glad that he had taken the time to roll in the poppies to hide Rose's scent. "You sure did," he purred, rubbing his cheek against hers. "I never saw you coming!" The tabby nudged the fallen prey with his forepaw. "I caught us a couple somethings. Sorry I took so long with them. Did you miss me?"

Tara nodded, "It is never the same with out you, love." she mewed. "Never-ever the same, I missed you." She licked behind his ear kindly.

Secret Curtain

The tabby continued to purr, lost in her warm scent. "I missed you, too. You kept running through my thoughts." Mostly true. But no matter. He licked her cheek after she had done so behind his ear. "Hungry, love? Take your pick."

Tara took a piece of fresh-kill, smiling flirtatiously. She ate quickly and smiled to Thorn. She really loved him, she purred and buried the carcass. "Now what?" she mewed.

Turn To You

Thorn finished up his own prey, licking his jaws to savor the taste as he went along burying the remains. He looked back to Tara feeling full and content. "Whatever you're up for, I suppose," he mewed as he gave a good, long stretch. "Take a stroll, sleep, just stay here... What sounds good to you?"

"Lets go for a stroll. " She purred, "We can just talk." she leaned into him and purred softly.

Falling For You

Thorn flicked an ear in happy agreement. "Alright, then," he mewed, brushing his pelt with hers. He started to pad forward, keeping pace with hers. "So how are you feeling, love? Everything all right?" That was his top concern at the moment. As long as she was fine, he would be.

"Everything is fine!" she purred, "I am great, how about you, how was your day?" she asked, smiling.

"My day was perfect, actually," he mewed, rubbing his cheek with hers. "And forgive me- I just want to make sure you're always alright. I don't know what I'd do if something happened to you."
