Ravenstone had been wandering through the loner territories for a while now, not sure of where exactly he was going. The black tom had started out of RiverClan territory earlier that morning in a half-hearted search for the she-cat he still hadn't gotten over. He couldn't remember where the strange two-leg tunnel she said that she would take as a home was located, so he'd ended up wandering through the loner lands without any sense of direction.
The RiverClan warrior knew that he had promised himself that he would stay away. For Snowfeather's own sake. Their affair had just seemed to hurt her worse that anything, and he still felt guilty as he kept padding on. He'd kept away for as long as he could. There was nothing left in RiverClan that brightened his mood. Nothing that helped. So the black tom figured that there couldn't be that much else to do but at least try to find her.
But his paws were getting weary. It was well near sunhigh, now, as he'd been wandering around aimlessly for oh too long. His paws stopped where they were, and he sat down on the earth to glance up at the sun. What am I doing?
The she-cat was fishing at the time, before the rivers actually froze over. She wanted to stock up on food before Leaf-bare came.
She was missing RiverClan terribly, but she couldn't go back. There's no possible way. I mean-- what would the other cats think of her? Not only that, RavenStone and HawkTalon... that would be terrible!
SnowFeather was almost to her lovely tree, until a familiar scent happened to go through her nose. She knew exactly whose it was. Ravenstone.
She ran towards it-- which wasn't that far. Not only that, she noticed it wasn't that far from her tree, either.
When she did arrive, she dropped her silver fish, and padded up towards him. SnowFeather pressed her nose against the side of his muzzle, and purred rather softly, "RavenStone..."
Ravenstone had closed his eyes, not paying much attention to world around him. He was just considering whether he should bother making the way back to RiverClan that day or resting now and sleeping here tonight and travel back whenever he bothered. So when he felt a nose gently poke his cheek, his eyes darted back open. Before he had a chance to react beyond that, he heard a familiar voice- the one he'd been dying to hear for ages. The black tom almost didn't want to look, for fear that it may just be a self-induced hallucination or something. But his green eyes couldn't help but look out of their corners.
The warrior's heart skipped a beat when he saw those familiar purple eyes. "Snowfeather," he gasped, staring at her, dumbstruck. She was here, standing right beside him. The tom felt his weariness leave him in an instant, and a smile spread over his face. "Snowfeather!" he purred loudly, reaching out with his neck and nuzzling her in return. "I can't believe it! You're here!"
She was in a bliss. The fact is-- she loved him. A lot. At the same time, she knew she couldn't; she has feelings for HawkTalon still, too, but she couldn't choose.
She took a few steps back, and wrinknled her nose. She looked down, and sighed, "Why.. Why did you come here?"
She looked back at him, her purple eyes filled with rather... worry. Worried of what, though?
When she pulled away, at first, Ravenstone felt a little hurt. Perhaps not hurt, really, but a tad upset all the same. Her question made his ears lower just a tad. It was a good question. The problem was, she probably knew the reason just as well as he did. "I don't know," he admitted, sitting back down in the grass and curling his tail around his paws, eyes glancing down to the tip and watching it flick to and fro. "It's just that... Well, things haven't gone at all well since you left. The Clan's fine and all," he added in quickly, "but I can't focus on anything anymore. I've felt lower than dirt. I just..." he trailed off, then, clenching his toes, and looking back up to Snowfeather. "Nothing seems right anymore. I miss you. I told myself that I wouldn't bother you again after you left RiverClan, but I couldn't think of anything else to do. I needed to see you."
The black tom knew he was rambling on and on by this point. He couldn't stop his jaws from moving. He kept spilling out words like there was no stopping it. But it felt right. Things needed to be said.
The she-cat just nodded her head this whole time. She couldn't help but smile at some of her words, it just proved something. That maybe... maybe... he was the one who she should be with. HawkTalon didn't BOTHER to find her, did he? Maybe he didn't even care. She didn't know, and she didn't care at this moment. RavenStone was here, and she wanted nothing more than to be in his black fur. Yet, she stayed still. She stayed where she was.
"I see..." she looked over at her fish, and gripped it softly before padding up beside him.
She sat down next to him, and placed the silver fish down at her feet. She nuzzled his shoulder affectionately, her left forepaw going over his right forepaw. She was at bliss at the moment, and then she stopped, "Hungry?"
Snowfeather purred softly, letting herself move closer to the tom only slightly. She barely even noticed this motion. She didn't think she would do that. At least, not at the moment she did. Beforehand, yes, but now? No, because she understood that she shouldn't... but....
She shook her head softly and smiled still. She let her doubts lift away from her mind, and she let her white tail move over his. She didn't know what he would do, but she wanted her tail there. She wanted her body to touch his. She wanted it all.
At her simple reply, Ravenstone felt his ear go hot. Had he been wrong to say all of that? Oh course he had. She had tried hard to leave everything behind, and here he was, bringing it all right in front of her paws. Snowfeather was smiling in that beautiful way she had, true, but maybe she was just trying to keep from laughing at him. He felt like such a fool. But as he watched her pick up the fish and pad a little closer, a little bit of that anxiety faded away. Then when he felt her nuzzle his shoulder, and her paw trail over his, the rest of that feeling vanished completely. The same happiness he'd felt when he'd seen her returned to fill his head.
"I'm fine," he mewed lightly. "It's your catch, anyway. I had a little bit before I left camp." The next thing he knew, he was smiling in both surprise in delight, as Snowfeather inched a little closer, her tail entwining with his. A soft purr sounded in the black tom's white-specked throat as he let his tail curl around hers. He couldn't think of anything to say or do besides that, though. It was almost enough just having her there beside him, like a dream. But he longed for the thin invisible barrier that seemed to remain between them to be gone. "I missed you," he murmured, trying to get her violet eyes to catch his, his heart pounding inside of his chest.
The white she-cat was purring softly, and she didn't purr no louder. She didn't like to purr loudly, because it seemed unpolite. Yet... she was tempted to at this moment. Her chest was swelling up and her throat was feeling rather... dry. Mostly because she was just happy to be with someone who actually cared enough to find her. What about HawkTalon again? He probably already found someone else. And you know what? She didn't really care at this moment. RavenStone was here, and he was making it all worthwhile.
"No, I insist.. You're probably hungry," she mewed softly, bumping her nose right under his chin softly, "You're probably getting cold, too, so do you want to come back to my... place? It's still really warm in there."
She was mewing softly and quietly, in a very serene tone, like waves washing upon a shore rather gently, or the lovebirds tweeting in unison. That's how sweet it was... Or as sweet as milk chocolate running down on a fountain and soon pouring into your mouth. Mhm..
Snowfeather rose her eyes up to his slowly, pure... joy in them, along with something else sweet. What could that be? Love, maybe? Ah... nah... it had to be something else. But you probably wouldn't be able to get your tongue on it... because it seemed like an unnatural feeling. Not what most feel. I mean, it COULD be love, but that isn't... really it, I mean, part of it is, yes, but there was more to it... But what?
"It isn't that far from here..." she mewed in that lovely tone once more, which could lift anyone's spirits up, "we can stay out here still, if you like... it is beautiful out here, too..."
This whole time she was purring quietly, so quiet that you would have to put your ear right by her throat/chest... And even then, it would be difficult to hear. She was always so quiet, always so... quiet... Maybe she should change... nah, most like her this way.
She curled her tail with his, trying not to do it so tightly, more soft, but she couldn't help but tighten her grip on his tail with hers. She didn't want to let go, and she didn't really want to move. She... didn't want to move at all... no...
Wind wooshed on through, going in her ears and ruffling her fur, which soon made it easy to see her bones. I mean... she wasn't STARVING, but she didn't eat as well as she did back at camp. And it was obvious now, since of that wind. But did RavenStone notice? If he did, how would he react? How is he going to react?
Wind... don't let him see how weak I really am! she thought in her head in a loud hiss, her purple eyes closed tightly, while the wind blew and chilled her bones once more.
After the wind left, she shook her head side to side, swiping her paw over one of her ears before licking it and doing it once more. She looked at her paws for a moment before rising her light purple eyes back to his, smiling softly before nuzzling her muzzle under his chin.
She didn't want him to see how she really was out here. She wasn't well-fed, she wasn't really that strong no more, and she was slowly falling apart. But... she liked it out here. It was quiet and calm, and no one really bugged her. She did want one thing more than anything out here, though-- compay. Anyone's company. At this point in time, she would love it if it was Ravenstone.

OOC::// ASDFPOIUWER. She's not starving I swear. She's just. Not fat;-; and since this is still taken place before leaf-bare, I wonder how sh ewill be during the winter. ASDF;JWER. Now I"m scared for her. D:
oh and, Short replies are short. Sorry for the short reply. ;-; I'm trying to make them bigger. I swearrrr.
Ravenstone didn’t concern himself with the fish. That wasn’t important. What was important was Snowfeather. And at her suggestion, the tom nodded gladly. ”Sure, sound great. It’ll be good to get out of this blasted wind.” Her purr was so wonderfully soft. It was like music to his ears. And the barely hearted purr was lovely. It was almost as if she wasn’t purring at all, but he could almost feel the vibrations, all the same. It was like some kind of game that he adored. And as her tail wrapped just a little tighter around his, the black tom set his cheek rest lightly against hers, happily. This was better than any dream.
But the next blast of wind just about knocked the warrior off his paws. His eyes pulled back into narrow slits as his face was buffered by the invisible force. Speak of the devil, he thought to himself with a grimace on his face. The tom then turned back to Snowfeather, about to suggest heading back to her den at that moment, but his green eyes found something startling about her. She was thin- A bit thinner than she should be. True, it wasn’t as if her ribs were jutting out of her frame, but all the same, it worried him. ”You’re so thin,” he almost gasped out loud. But she was just smiling. ”And you’re offering me the fish? No. Come on, let’s get your back to your den so you can eat this thing out of all this wind and cold.” Ravenstone’s tone was stern, but the concern could still be heard in his mew. There was no way he was going to let her pass up a meal when she was still thinner than any cat back at camp.
