A lost son (Zimlock, Open)

Luna watched her kits play tag but her mind was elsewhere it was Zimlock for he never seemed the same after the kits had been born. She sat there waiting for him she had questions to ask.

Arix played tag with her brothers and sister she kid behind a bush and Rani was it.

Zimlock was outside of the barn, sitting by the creek that seemed to flow near. He was staring down at his reflection, with questions pulsing straight through his mind. He was quite confused, and it made his fur prickle.

Luna soon saw Zimlock and padded over to him soon sitting beside him. She looked to him and she had to ask " Do you think we went to fast?" she asked her blue eyes filled with question and worry. She loved him but was unsure how he felt for her.

That interupted the large tom's thoughts, craning his head to her, and suddenly snapped.

"What are you doing, sneaking up on me like that, you piece of fox-dung!"

He hissed, but then instantly calmed down, and looked down.

"Sorry."

Then he looked back up, with almost no emotion in his eyes nor voice.

"No. We didn't."

Luna jumped back at his tone..."Whats the matter then? Its like you don't care...you don't want to be here " she mewed saddened. She looked to her paw trying to keep herself from crying.

He was so bi-polar, that it was unreal. He didn't want to snap, although he was holding that part in.

He shook his head, and looked back at his reflection.

"It's nothing."

He murmured, placing his pink pad against the surface of the water.

Luna looked back up "It is something!" she protested "If there another she-cat? Do you just not care? Zimlock please tell me I am here to help you with problems" she mewed.

His ears went flat against his rather large head, as he let out a hiss. There was no other she-cat, for he didn't even really love Luna!

He craned his neck around, to where his eyes glowed fiercely at Luna. His fur was prickling from nose to tail tip.

"There is no other she-cat!"

He growled with a hiss, and got up. He turned around, and stomped off a bit, his head slightly lowered towards the ground.

Luna's ears bent back "Where are you going? Why are you being so difficult ?!" she hissed. He was not the same as she remembered from before "Your not the Zimlock I remember..you know the one who cared..." she hissed "I bet you would rather want me dead wouldn't you or have you even realized your son is dead! Shade is gone! she continued.

The tom paused, and looked over his shoulder. He looked at her, ignoring the first part of the question completely. It seemed as if all of his anger left, and now depression rested there, stayed in the socket of his entire heart.

"G-Gone? I-I..."

He gulped down nothing, not even saliva. He was scared now, depressed. He didn't care about anything at the moment, all he knew was that one of his kits was gone. How could that happen?

Luna looked to him he seemed different "yes you heard me...gone he wandered off and a fox got him I later found him" she mewed calming her voice and she walked over and sat down beside him.

The tom's claws were raking across the ground, fear gripping his pelt. He had large prickles of fur travel up and down his spine, his fur moving upwards and down while it was doing so. He hissed.

"You weren't watching him?!"

He growled, slowly prowling over towards her.

Zimlock was about to speak, but he kept quiet, for Salmarine came out. She looked at them both, and shook her head. She sighed, knowing things that the others don't.

Alamisha, Inaquix, and Meonisac were starting to roll out of the barn, playing around with a lot of squeaks and squeals of joy.

Arix came with Inaquix only to see her parents fighting.
