Warriors RPG. We welcome members of all ages and have a great time here at CCOTF. With friendly staff and an intriguing plot we have nowhere to go but up. Hope to see you around!
A soft white and red pelt slid through the willow branches aligning the floor. It's amber eyes analyzed everything while looking for the perfect spot he had marked.
A few months before, he had come to the poppy fields to view the damage from fire, but he had also padded through the great willows of silver. There he had found an old gnarled willow tree with branches that looked like old two-leg hands. What had stricken him about the tree was how it's leaves made a dome like structure. A cat could saunter in and no one else would know it was there. He had marked the way toward it with a path created out of broken branches and bark. This way there would be no scent lingering in the place for long.
Now he was using it to his advantage, his secret spot of sanctuary. Foxflight had spread the word through gatherings of clan cats, but that wasn't enough to get the job, he so badly, wanted done. Hopefully others would follow his trail through the eerie glow of darkness to find the willow to help him. If not, he'd get it down eventually, no matter what it took.
His eyes finally caught hold of the magnificent silver willow shining as if to show him the way. Quietly, he slipped through the leaves, climbed upon a low branch, lied out, and waited. At least Badgerstep would show up, wouldn't he? Foxflight's eyes turned to slits as he waited. Scarshadow and Riddlehawk had to leave after he did to avoid suspicion. So, it would be a while before any cat showed up. It was a fine night though and he relished it.
Badgerstep had not been looking for the familiar ThunderClan tom when he had spotted him. The black and white tom had actually been near the edge of WindClan territory, where instead of bordering another Clan, the land gave way to the home of loners and rogues. His mind had been reeling. Nightpaw, his own apprentice, had come too close to finding out about his actual relation with Moonspirit. Hopefully he had gotten it out of her head enough so that she would learn to keep her mouth shut in the future. But either way, the mere thought of her seeing the whole truth made the tom sick to his stomach.
The warrior had then seen some cat moving out of the corner of his eye. Turning, the warrior recognized Foxflight, the ThunderClan warrior that he'd exchanged words with at Gatherings. Seeing the tom out in the loner lands had confused the black and white tom. Where could he have been going? Curious, Badgerstep had decided to follow the tom.
Badgerstep had lost the trail at some point along the way, so he'd been unable to catch up with Foxflight before finally finding the tom atop a tree branch. The warrior raised his tail in greeting, his amber eyes puzzled as he looked up at the cat. "Foxflight?" he called out, flicking an ear. "What are you doing so far out here?"
~~~~~
"Shows what you know." Flightwhisker's hiss sounded before the she-cat entered onto the scene, her hazel eyes glancing around her as she stepped forward. The ThunderClan warrior had caught word of her Clanmate's plan, and she had found herself unable to agree with him more. The present leaders of the Clans had fallen short of what they should have been. Too many rules had been broken. Too many crimes had been overlooked. The diluted calico wanted to be a part of the solution.
The only qualm she had was having to be in such close proximity with cats outside of ThunderClan. It wasn't right to be with them in peace outside of the Gathering. But it's all for the better, in the end, she reminded herself, though still giving Badgerstep an unfriendly glare. This WindClan tom seemed like a mouse-brain if he hadn't even heard about the meeting, but managed to show up anyway. And that made her wonder- was he even with them? Flightwhisker's claws sank out of their sheathes, pricking the ground in case this tom needed to be eliminated.
Stripedleaf padded into the dark clearing. Her claws unsheathed as an instincts when the other scents crossed her nose and she felt disgusted. But the reason she was here was to defeat the unjust rule over Riverclan. When the leaders before Crookedstar had ruled Riverclan had been a proud clan and she wanted it returned to its legacy. Even though the Riverclan leader was her mother she did not find her fit to lead. She found her fit for being a queen and nothing more. She would have nominated her own father to do the job, but he had disappeared and now she feared him dead.
Her pelt bristled and she joined the other warriors amiss the meeting. Some would call them evil but as she saw it they were only cleansing the clans of their errors. She twitched her tail and looked around at the few that had come. She gave a growl and plopped down gently. She would have thought that many more would have shown, but they were spineless jelly fish to afraid to challenge leadership.
Batwing sat down in the middle of the clearing. An eerie silence hung in the air. The meeting was sure to begin soon. Right? The black tom pawed at the ground in impatience. What was taking so long? A few other cats sat around him. He envied their patience. Their were so little cats in the meeting place. "Are these the only cats that are coming...?" he muttered. "One would think that there would be more..."
A large striped tom slipped silently into the meeting, not saying a word. His giant frame loomed as a shadow in the corner, only when he came into some light did it reveal that his pelt was like that of a tigers, his golden amber eyes glowing in the shadows. He studied the others with no expression, not moving a muscle except the tip of his tail twitched ever so slightly.
Tigerstorm had not entirely agreed with these cats, but it seemed they were on the right track. The leader's were letting chaos become the everyday lives of the clans and that needed to stop. He wouldn't say much, that wasn't him. He was seen more as an enforcer.
The lithe silvery she-cat slid into the clearing, looking everything over with a cool, calculating, flirty air. She prowled whenever she walked, her paws moving her lightly and softly over the ground. Her pale blue eyes blinked clearly against her clear face. She hadn't a scar on her sleek pelt, though she was the one to ruin that Thunderclan deputy's paw, any warrior would remember that. They would also remember her from the days of Lurkclan, a fierce warrior in Fallenstar's upper circle before the fall. She sat down, curling her tail around her paws. Ariska, this pretty she-cat's name was. And like the gun she was so similarly named to, she was deadly.
His amber eyes glared into the night as paw steps approached. Foxflight's eyes softened as Badgerstep came into his sight. He got onto his paws, but stayed onto his perch. It wouldn't be good to be on the ground if any approaching cats wanted to kill him.
He raised his own tail in greeting and listened to Badgerstep's question. Foxflight's smile faded and turned to puzzlement. So he didn't know? Guess Windclan is having trouble getting information, he thought to himself absentmindedly.
A she-cat’s hiss came from behind the screen of willow leaves before her form appeared. The tom watched as she approached and recognized Badgerstep as Windclan. His eyes caught her tension and claws going in and out of her paws. Her form seemed familiar and he clambered for a name. Finally it shone before him and he smiled. It was another Thunderclan member and her name was Flightwhisker.
Foxflight turned back to Badgerstep who was not yet a friend nor a cat he just knew, but something between. The Windclan tom needed answers and had a right to know them. “Badgerstep, do you still agree with the idea we talked about a couple of gatherings ago? If you do, please stay. You may leave if you wish though,” he mewed politely. The amber gaze went to Flightwhisker and sent a warning. If she laid a claw on the tom he’d rebuke her later on.
A bristling mass of Riverclan scent arrived and heavily lounged onto the grass with a growl. He was glad to see another clan present. It wouldn’t do any good if the only clans that accepted the plan were Thunderclan and Windclan. The others could fight back, but the Riverclan member just proved to him how the disease had spread amongst far reaches of the forest. His tail waved to the she-cat as he saw her eyes burning with some feeling.
Black fur revealed a tom entering and the air gave off impatience. He flicked his ears and smiled at the young tom. Finally, he spoke and in response Foxflight locked eyes. “Hopefully, more will come, but in a way Starclan is helping us this night to not attract attention by having no throngs of cats coming at the same time,” he mewed to Batwing.
Just as he had finished, a striped tom entered and the name immediately came to mind, Tigerstorm. He’d seen the tom before and the air around him assured Foxflight exactly what he was feeling. The powerful tom was on their side, maybe not entirely, but perhaps later on that would change.
A silvery presence then weaved its way under the silver willow tree. Her presence surprised yet pleased him. He knew not much of the she-cat other than what he had heard from other cats, but she was unmistakable. It was Ariska, a perfect warrior with a huge presence. Foxflight dipped his head to her with a smile. He was glad to know she had come and wanted to help. One less warrior to worry about in the long run.
His form sat upon the branch, illuminated by the silvery glow the tree gave off. Was this really all there would be? It really didn’t matter for he knew the idea would be found out by others just by how thing were occurring. They’d all put the pieces together and understand that maybe Starclan was doing to tell the leaders something, to get the clans attention that something needed to be changed. If apprentices could manipulate what Starclan wanted, years before, then why couldn’t full grown warriors do the same thing?
Foxflight waited cleverly on top of the branch for any other stragglers. One couldn’t be too hasty on a night like tonight. Best to be careful than ruin everything. His eyes traveled onto Badgerstep. What had been his response?
A grunt was heard, and soon a large tabby tom padded out. He looked mean. He looked rude. And heck, he is. To be honest-- he was a back-stabbing tom. But that wasn't easily noticed. Most didn't know, until they had claws hit them.
At the moment, on where he was, you could barely tell who he was. It looked as if TigerStar was standing there, but... a Shrunken TigerStar with green eyes instead of amber. When he took a few steps out, he nudged FoxFlight, and hissed, "You thought I wouldn't of came?"
He rolled his eyes, typical. He knew exactly how FoxFlight was, at least, little bit. And he knew FoxFlight trusted him to nothing. And that was wise.
Glowing shards like feathers came from the darkness of the forest. Her fur was pricked but she too, had heard about the meeting. Seeking a purpose she decided to come, she recognized cats here she wouldn't usually hang around. She looked up, her eyes glowing she stepped to the very edge of the group and took a seat.
Another lithe figure came from close to where that had come, her white pelt glowing like a second moon. Her hardened blue eyes the same as she took a seat further from the cats, not meeting anyone's gaze. You probably would have recognized this cat from Spottedsky's pack in RiverClan, but since in recent events she had realized that things must change in her clan. They were no longer one, but two...
As more and more cats continued to show up around the edges of the area, Badgerstep found himself becoming a bit uneasy. He hadn't known anything about this little get-together previously, and it just seemed strange to him. The WindClan warrior had seen all of these cats at one point or other, usually just having noted their presence at Gatherings. He knew enough to know that they were all from various different Clans. What purpose would they have of meeting up, and so far from the Clan territories? He felt completely at a loss.
The black and white tom looked up when Foxflight began talking, hoping he would shed some light on the subject that tied all of these cats together. And as he listened, his amber eyes narrowed just a degree from confusion. Yes, he did remember. But was that really what all of these different cats had met up to talk about. "Yes, of course I do," he mewed slowly, eyes flicking around to the surrounding cats. "Is that what this is all about?" The warrior sat down where he had been standing, his paws still prickling as if the eyes of thousands of cats were at his neck. Of course, that seemed to make more sense as even more cats slipped in from the shadows around them.
~~~~~
Flightwhisker, seeing Foxflight's warning in his eyes, forced her bristling fur to lay flat. But she did not do so without a suspicious growl. By Badgerstep's words, he seemed to at least have an inkling for what their purpose here was. And he must have had some connection to Foxflight. But the ThunderClan she-cat still saw no reason to trust him. But, then again, should she even think to trust any cat here? As more unfamiliar cats began to pour in, the she-cat found herself analyzing each and every one, trying to read what was beyond their faces.
Ariska sat, waiting for them to get to the point. She knew they knew who she was. She knew that they all knew about her past and where she had been before. But she just sat there, her tail curled around her paws carefully. Her ears flickered behind her whenever she heard the pawsteps but even she wasn't prepared for what she saw.
--
Out of the bushes padded a small cat, a young kit but one that was rather well known throughout the clans for who she was. Moonkit, the silver and white she-cat was coming through the bushes. Her grey eyes were calm as she padded forward and sat down, little flecks of what looked like glitter on her pelt shimmered, but for all anyone knew it was stardust. No one ever really knew when it came to her. No one ever really could know, seeing as she was possessed by one of Starclan's warriors, and an angry one at that.
After turning away from Badgerstep and Foxflight, the ThunderClan warrior had just looked towards the edge of the clearing with a scowl. She had not, however, been expecting what came into view just where she was looking, however. There out from the bushes came a little she-cat that Flightwhisker had seen a few times in camp. She did not personally know the young she-kit, as she was not much the type for adoring over kits. And at any rate, the kit just seemed strange to her. "Moonkit?" Her hazel eyes blinked before narrowing slightly. This wasn't good. They couldn't have a kit going back to camp and blabbering. "What are you doing so far from camp? You shouldn't be out here."
Moonkit turned her cold gaze on the she-cat, her eyes narrowing a bit. The eyes were not those of a kit. It was darker, far older. It seemed almost perverse, the knowledge and sheer ice that seemed to glow in her eyes. "Don't speak to me like I'm a child, Flightwhisker." She said, her ears flickering. Her eyes were cold and uncaring. Not at all belonging in the head of a kit. "I'm not as helpless as everyone would have you think." She said, her head held high; proud and viscious at the same time.
Stripedleaf looked around at the little kit watching her scold the warrior, that spoke to her. She knew that it was not only Moonkit talking but also Moonshine. She was expressing her anger through the tiny kit, and since she had already lived kit-hood she was in no mood to put up with the babying. Or so it looked like.
Crystallight spotted Stripedleaf from across the clearing. Her serious cold gaze turning a bit softer. She had thought about her chat with Stripedleaf and it was her turn to give her a surprise hello. She silently twisted from the other cats sitting positions to take a seat beside Stripedleaf. She whispered a quiet "Hello Stripedleaf."
Just then, from the branches of one of the Silver Willows, a lithe yellow and black spotted cat appeared from one of the branches. She was curious to why these cats were here in the low-populated Silver willow patch. She watched from the sidelines, listening to every detail.
Just then a tanned tom came from one of the other willows. He had settled there with his sister, Nadia. He had not seen so many cats in one place before, but pretended like he knew what he was doing when he sat beside a random she-cat and mewed, "Hello."
Tara, a pretty feline, came down from one of the trees where she perched, watching the clan cats. She had been invited but didn't want to come down just yet. She was still hunting for a new mate after Thorn had rejected her. Her eyes narrowed and she watched all the cats with curious wonder.
