Rainpaw was searching the riverbank for herbs, careful to stay on Thunderclan side. One perp of being medicine cat apprentice, you can go out on your own. And he definately enjoyed the peace, he had so much to do in camp recently and a lot on his mind after the whole Riverclan fiasco. That was why he was being so careful to stay on his side, because even if he was the Thunderclan medicine cat apprentice, they would eat him alive right now. Crookedstar seemed like she had finally lost her mind and the whole clan wanted Thunderclan blood after Riddlehawk killed Froststorm. And, the biggest thing on his mind...Sunpaw. The pretty she-cat apprentice he had seen his last visit and she knew his name. It was crazy for him to have thoughts like this, he was forbidden from these feelings but he couldn't help it. Everytime he closed his eyes, he saw hers beautiful teal eyes and her smile....'Wait, wait, WAIT!' He stopped himself there, shaking his head. 'I need to focus...' He hadn't notice, but while he was daydreaming, he had become dangerously close to the edge and the pebbles beneath his front paws gave way suddenly and he started slipping, unable to regain footing with his limp back leg, crashing into to water. He fought for the surface, struggling in the current with only three good legs, starting to run out of air.
Is this what Starclan had planned for him...?

Flairpaw tagged along behind his friend his fluffy black and white fur ruffled through the slight leaf-bare breeze. "maybe we could get to both today the forest and the river." he mewed watching the snow fall from the sky suddenly as he was caught in his trance of watching snow fall he was suddenly shaken by the cry for help.

It was Sunpaw!! Flairpaw snapped out of it immediately turning his head to see her in the river and on the other side Rainpaw. Flairpaw rushed over and fan as fast as he could so fast it felt like his feet where barely touching the ground. He jumped and dove into the water grabbing Sunpaw bu the scruff and bringing her to the shore.

Rainpaw was just sinking into unconsciousness when someone grabbed the scruff of his name and hauled him onto the shore. He finally breathed in some air, coughing up the water he swallowed and gasping. He blinked, shaking his head to get his senses back and he first sight he saw was Sunpaw's face. "S....S-Sunpaw...?" He murmured hoarsely, sounding confused. She....saved him? Then she disappeared and he heard her cry. Where did she go? Back in the river! But he didn't have the energy to save her, he was shivering from the cold and could hardly keep his eyes open. Then a blur of black and white shot past him into the river and he blinked. Who was that? "Sunpaw!"

Everywhere around me was ice cold water, crashing over me as I struggled to stay at the surface for breathe. When the undertow pulled me under, it made me lose the shore. I tried to churn my paws in the water like my clan-mats did, but the water kept pushing my under. "Flairpaw!" I called again, but my voice was weaker. Just then I felt my scruff be grabbed, and I was pulled to shore.

I got to my paws quickly, and stumbled to the side. I coughed up some water, and my fur was soaked. I shook my golden fur out the best I could, but my fur trapped the water. Great, I would catch a cold, exactly what I needed. I blinked, and slowly walked over to Rainpaw, unsure if he was okay. "Rainpaw, are you okay?" I mewed worryingly. I thought I heard his voice when I was in the water, but I wasn't sure.

In the water. That reminded me, what about Flairpaw? I turned around, and saw him on the shore, and heaved a sigh of relief. "Make sure an undertow doesn't get you Flairpaw." I mewed, smiling.

Fliarpaw stood up and shook himself "it would take more than an undertow to stop me from trying to save you" he said turning his head to face her. Flairpaw looked to Rainpaw anger in his eyes 'He nearly drowned her! he though to himself. Flairpaw walked over to Sunpaw and sat down beside her. "Are you ok Sunpaw?" he asked Then turned to face Thunderclan medicine cat apprentice " So why are you on our territory?" he growled in a low tone.

Flairpaw didn't like this cat he was on there territory and almost drowned Sunpaw! Flairpaw was mad but kept it hidden. He looked to Rainpaw then to Sunpaw "Well he seems to be ok lets go back we can hunt in the forest I am not letting that happen again it is to risky" he mewed looking slightly over to Rainpaw.

Rainpaw coughed, looking over to Sunpaw. "Y-yeah...I'm fine, th-thanks..." He responded shakily, slightly embarrassed but grateful as well. He studied her, sitting up and looking her over. "Are you okay? Y-you didn't have to do that for me..." He could feel his fur getting hot and he stuttered. "I-I mean...if you don't feel w-well, maybe some poppy seeds and..well I guess y-your medicine cat will help you.." He said, smiling sheepishly. He then realized the other cat was glaring at him and he looked back at him with a grimace. "I wasn't at first, I was on our side of the river, sorry for not being able to swim like you..." He said, his voice with a slight edge to it. He stood up, shaking his pelt and sending water all over Flairpaw. Without another word, he looked back to Sunpaw. "So....are you sure you're okay?"
