Why am I here?

This little kit was scampering about, his little brown tail swishing as he did so.

His little emerald eyes peered around the grounds, his whiskers quivering. He was obviously just born, but he didn't live through the birth.

Why didn't he?

What was wrong with him?

TigerKit blinked, and looked around. He wanted to see his mother, his father, his family. He wanted someone to come out and help him.

"H-H-Hello?"

Tigerkits sister Willowkit scampered beside him, she looked at him and frowned. It was not fair! She wanted to be a kit! To be alive! Her silver body quivered in curiosity and anger that she had not been able to take a single breath of air-ever.

Clovernose heard the sound of kits. Kits out here all alone what a shame. She walked up the the little newborns, they would need to get back to Starclan so they could learn their purpose here. "Dear little ones, I would like to say it is a pleasure but it is no pleasure that you are here.", she frowned. If they were here it meant that they had never gotten to taste the life on earth. "Please follow me. I am your mother's sister from Windclan.", she sighed pointing her tail towards the starry camp.

Willowkit followed her without saying a word, still a little stubbly on her paws but she managed. Her eyes didn't leave her kin.

TigerKit glanced back at Clovernose and dipped his head.

"O-Okay."

He stood there for a minute.

"Wait.. what's my name?"

He did not yet know his name, and he figured his sister did not either.

Willowkit looked at him, she shrugged at looked at her paws, she was a silent cat. She had decided never to talk, what was the waste? she was just a poor forgotten kit.

Clovernose turned to her sister's kits. "You are Tigerkit and You are Willowkit.", she said pointing to each of them. "And you have died before your mother could give birth to you.", she winced at the thought of such precious life being wasted.

Willowkit didn't respond except for the flick of her tail.

Tigerkit merely nodded, and walked past CloverNose, but then stopped, waiting.

"Let's go then. I want this done and over with, I want answers."

His tail tip flicked, ears pinning back against his ghostly head.

Willowkit looked at him sternly and flicked her tail annoyingly. She stood beside Clovernose and touched her flank with her flank, she rubbed against her and followed her, silence sealing her lips.

Mudkit scampered along behind Willowkit and Tigerkit, pressing her nose to Tigerkit's flank gently. Another little mud brown kit. Her bright grey little eyes looked about, lively and bright.

Moonshine paused when she seen Clovernose. "Hello Clovernose." Then her gaze fell to the trio of kits. A single sad tear rolled town her cheek unnoticed. She hated seeing newborn kits come here. Almost as much as she had seen dead newborns when she had been alive. "Hello Willowkit, Tigerkit......" She trailed off when she seen Mudkit, her voice caught in her throat. Memories of a little brown kit that she had had when she was younger and all her kits had been murdered. The time before she had joined Thunderclan. She purred, licking the top of Mudkit's head. "Mudkit." She said finally.

Willowkit flicked her tail in hello, she shuffled her paws and smiled to herself.

"Come along dear ones we are waiting for you!", she purred leading the way back to camp.

Willowkit followed, scampering behind her aunt with a mild intreat in her eyes. She looked back to her brothers, flicking her tail in sign to follow.

TigerKit stayed back for a moment, but soon placed one paw infront of the other.

"I want my mother.."

He whimpered, his eyes filled with pain.
