Patchedfoot looked up at the leader surprised. whoa thats me! She thought as she stood up and walked to the front of the clan near Foxstar. "Thank you for the honor Foxstar." She said quietly looking out among the cats of the clan. She had already assumed a leading role now it was official. She sighed and started planning the patrols in her head. She nodded to everyone who nodded to her.

Murkkit looked around towards the warriors. He tried to pinpoint who would be his mentor. He finally decided the wait was torturing him and hed just see what Foxstar had planned.

She nodded, and rang her voice through the clearing again.

"Time for apprentice-ship!"

She looked down towards the spot where the apprentice-to-be's would stand at.

"Smallkit, Swiftkit, Swankit, and Murkkit, please step forward!"

The three kits padded up, smiles wide on their faces. Smallkit looked at Greypaw, smiling faintly.

FoxStar waited for the other kit to hurry up here, her ears flickering. She stared at three little.. forms bound up there. She wasn't sure what their expressions were, but she shook her head.

Ashpaw padded towards the clearing, sitting down and curling her black tipped tail across her paws. Her pretty light blue eyes watched curiously as a naming went on. She remembered when that had been her up there. But that had been a diffrent time.Under a diffrent leader. She shook the thought from her mind, watching silently.

She watched the crowed egerly, would she finally get a mentor today? She hoped with all her heart that she would.

bic: Badgerpaw smiled as he watched the kits prepare for apprenticeship. His own ceremony had been only a moon ago, but no warrior had been ready to take an apprentice yet. His amber eyes flashed to Cinderpaw, remembering that he wasn't alone in this problem. His claws sunk into the grass underfoot. What if Foxstar forgot about him, or never gave him a mentor? The black and white tom shifted uneasily, anticipation making his skin crawl beneath his pelt.

Cedarclaw's whiskers twitched as Patchfoot surveyed the Clan. She hadn't expected to be named deputy in the first place, but was this tom the right choice? She kept silent, watching the ceremony continue on.

ShadowBlaze smiled as she watched the three kits walk up to Highrock. She looked over to CinderClaw and said "Wow, six moons old already, huh? It doesn’t feel that long. I can remember when they were just beginning to see!" She paused..."... Gah, I'm so old. She chuckled and looked back up to Fox Star, smiling. 'I can hardly remember it now, but I was once walking up there to get my apprentice name! It feels so long ago...' she smiled slightly at the thought, though there was a slight hint of sadness as she thought of her mother. She died just before she received her warrior name due to GreenCough.

FoxStar stared down at the kits, and took in a deep breath.

"Smallkit, SwanKit, SwiftKit, and Murkkit from now on until you receive your warrior name you will be known as Smallpaw, SwanPaw, SwiftPaw, and MurkPaw."

"Cedarclaw, you are ready for an apprentice, you will be SmallPaw's mentor. I know you will pass on your wisdom, strength, and courage to Smallpaw, and teach her the skills that will make her a brave warrior of WindClan."

She made a long pause before she spoke again.

"SootClaw, you are ready for an apprentice, you will be SwanPaw's mentor. I know you will pass on your courage and strength to Swanpaw, and teach her the skills that will make her a brave warrior of WindClan."

She sighed, moving onto the next kit.

"Smokewisp, you are ready for an apprentice, you will be SwiftPaw's mentor. I know you will pass on your Knowledge, compassion, and courage to Swiftpaw, and teach him the skills that will make him a brave warrior of WindClan."

She waited, her ears flickering.

"Clovernose, you are ready for an apprentice, you will be MurkPaw's mentor. I know you will pass on your patience, and wisdom to Murkpaw, and teach him the skills that will make him a brave warrior of WindClan."

SootClaw snorted, and padded up to his new apprentice, touching noses with her.

FoxStar stared down at the crowd.

"There are still three apprentice's that needs a mentor. CinderPaw, BadgerPaw, and SparklePaw, please step forward."

She flicked her ears, knowing exactly which mentor should be picked for the apprentices.

"SpottedTail, it is time you had your own apprentice. You will be BadgerPaw's mentor. I know you will pass down your wisdom, speed, and patience to this apprentice."

She let them touch noses quickly, before going on to the next mentor.

"BirdFlight, you are ready to have an apprentice. From this moment forth, your apprentice will be CinderPaw. I know you will pass down your courage, and strength to this young apprentice to be a brave warrior of WindClan."

She sighed, and went along to the next cat.

"JaggedPelt, you are ready for an apprentice, please pass down your wisdom, courage, and strength down to SparklePaw. I know you will teach her the skills to be a brave warrior of WindClan."

Her tail swished back and forth, staring down at the cats, still not able to pin-point who was who.

Cinderpaw sat there toughing noses with her new mentor. happy now that she could finaly begin trainning.

Birdflight whispered to her new apprentice. "I will teach you all I know."

ShadowBlaze smiled as the apprentices met with their mentors. They were going to grow up to be wonderful warriors. She looked up at FoxStar with respect. She has been a wonderful leader so far. A small pang of hurt hit her when she remembered the old leader. He was a great one too...
