Wavesong paused, looking up at the rock and tree that was used for clan meetings. He had always loved watching Swiftstar standing so tall on that very spot when he was a kit. Maybe, someday kits would be looking at him like that. Taking a breath he glanced around, smiling at the camp softly. It was a good-bye today. Good-bye to his old life, good-bye to himself, but most importantly, good-bye to Silentstar. One of the best leaders ever. "We'll never forget you Silenstar." He murmured slightly before taking a deep breath and leaping up to the rock. The view was amazing and took his breath away slightly. Soon enough he found the strength to call out. "Let all cats old enough to catch their own pray gather here for a clan meeting."

Patchedfoot had been playing with her kits. They were apprentice age by now. "Thank goodness someone is taking leadership." She thought to herself before nudging the other kits and walking over to the meeting.

Foxfire stood near the front, her reddish-brown fur flat. Her gaze fixed on WaveSong. Her ears flickered about, her fluffy tail wrapped around her black paws.

Whitetiger walked out of the medicine cat den and looked at Wavesong. The white tom with black stripes looked worried. Wherever you Silentstar I hope you approved, he thought as he watched the deputy.

The three kits ran out, they were old enough to see the Clan meeting. Swankit was dancing around, her paws almost stepping on Smallkit. She was still only double the size of a newborn. But her intelligence betrayed her age. Swiftkit was almost as big as Swankit, but he was fully capable to tackled her. In which he did, bowling into her side knocking her down. "Hey" she mewed, "Not fair!" Smallkit bounded on to her and batted her belly with her paws. "Hee hee." Smallkit mewed. "We shouldn't fight!" she purred, padding to a corner of the den and lying them on her belly. It was Goldenrod. "There! All better!"

FoxFire's head spun around, her chest rumbling with a soft purr. She was watching the kits, which always made her happy.

She got out of her sitting position, her black paws moving forward, towards the kits.

When she got near, her big, fluffy tail swished side to side, her slender pelt flat. Now, she really did look like a fox, but her gaze always made kits sure that it was her.

"Hey you guys!"

She purred.

The three kits giggled and mewed, "Get her!" and they all jumped on to her and knocked her down. "Rawar!" they giggled.

FoxFire saw them running at her, and she plopped down when they jumped. She purred loudly, licking one of the kit's forehead, which was Smallkit. She knew that she wasn't the mother or anything, and she was just a warrior to them, but she liked to think all kits were her own.

Ashpaw padded over to the group. She didn't think anyone would dispute her being there. After living on her own for a few months it was obvious she could fend for herself. She sat down, curling her tail over her black paws while the sun warmed her grey pelt.

SpottedPaw finally got out of the Apprentice's den. She did over-sleep. She looked at AshPaw,a nd immediatly felt bad, since of what she said before. She shook her head, and tried to stay far in the back.

Wavesong looked over the clan, many cats were here. But not all of them, though he couldn't waste any more time. Taking another deep breath the white tom took a step forward before speaking loud enough for all the clan to hear. "Cats of Windclan. I called you here so that we may all know what is going on in the next while. Tonight I will be going to get my nine lives, Spottedpaw, and Ashpaw will come with me. I am leaving Patchedfoot in charge of the camp till I return. I must warn you, the other clans know I will be gone. And there is a chance that it will spread to Lurkclan. You will all have to be ready to fight at any moment, I'm leaving it to Patchedfoot to come up with the battle plan if need be." Pausing he looked over the camp before speaking again. "We will be leaving as soon as possible. If you need to speak with me, do so quickly." With that Wavesong jumped off the rock the rock, signaling the end of the meeting. He needed to gather the two apprentices and get the traveling herbs quickly.

Ashpaw's eyes widened and a ripple of excitement passed down her pelt. She was going with Wavesong! She purred, kneading the ground under her paws into a fine dust. She got up and padded over the high rock where Wavesong would be soon.

Patchedfoot nodded her head at the great responsibility that Wavesong had left her. "I will watch over this clan like my very kits." She said to reassure everyone. She was happy that he was finally going to see Starclan. Windclan had many questions that were ready to be answered.

Wavesong nodded to Patchedfoot as he walked past, he had full confidence in the warrior. Hopefully Whitetiger had the herbs ready, they needed them. "Spottedpaw, Ashpaw, come on. We have to hurry."
