Bidflight avoided his gaze, "I heard she is sick, only because she refuses to eat anything until that apprentice wakes up. Even though she is right now, more likely not going to ever wake up. I haven't heard much though, I on't sit around and gossip that much..." she sighed.

"I doubt she loves me anymore. I saved her from the river and all she did was run to find Smallpaw.", he winced. He had loved her scars and all since the day they had met. And now he didn't want anything to do with her.

Bightfight got up, she licked his cheek then mewed, "You still love her Smokewhisp." her mewed was hoarse, "I shouldn't be here." she smiled, "Your a great cat ya'know."

Smokewisp winced..... Rejected again. "Why shouldn't you be here? I see no rule saying that you shouldn't.", he sighed.

"But you love Spottedtail, and I'm pretty sure she loves you back." She looked into his eyes, she didn't want to hurt him. But she would end up hurt worse if they had kits and he was still mates with Spottedtail, and Spottedtail would be hurt too.

"We can be just friends right?",he asked knowing all hope was lost. He was doomed to chase after Spottedtail forever.

Birdflight nodded and smiled, "We can always be friends." She mewed, she dreamed one day-Smokewhisp may love her. But in her heart she knew Smokewhisp loved Spottedtail, and she could never stand in his way. One day she would meet a cat doomed to chase her, but maybe that can was not Smokewhisp.

SpottedTail, for once, had left SmallPaw. She didn't enjoy the idea, but she did.

She came in, and sat at the entrance, and lookd at her paws.

She made no movements, no sounds, just sitting there.

Birdflight padded away, she went into the Warriors den and curled up without a word.

Smokewisp frowned walking over to Spottedtail. "If you do not love me any longer please tell me so that I can move on.", he winced painfully. If she said that she did not love him then so be it, but if by some small glimmer of hope that she did love him why the ice-cold stares and ignorance. "Because if you do not love me I want to move on to a new life where I can have kits and a mate that loves me.", he sighed. His claws dug into the ground with impatience.

SpottedTail's ears flickered, and turned to look at him.

"I still do.. it's just.. I've been so.. harsh on Smallpaw.. and I think her.. jumping in is my fault.."

Smokewisp sighed in defeat he was done fighting against her. "I have never done anything but love you,..... but you are not the same she-cat that I wanted to have a life with.", he frowned at the thought that his love had changed. "You are so nervous all the time and the only cat you are thinking about it Smallpaw. Let Greypool take care of Smallpaw and eat something.", he whimpered slightly more to himself. "I want you to come back to the warriors den with me please.", he begged. He did not want to see her die because of Smallpaw.

SpottedTail's ears drooped, not saying another word for a few moments. She sat there, not sure what to say.

"I-I'm sorry.. I just.. SmallPaw has been my friend.. my very first friend.. And I don't want her to die on me.. Even when she was furious with me.. she was always there. She still trusted me. I still trusted her.."

Tears started to run down her cheeks, her eyes shut tightly.

"SmokeWisp.. I don't know what to do! I'm not helping her at all! All I am doing is making things worse, when all I do is try and help!"

She whined.

Smokwisp licked her cheek hating to see her so sad. "What you are going to do is come back to the warriors den with me and go back to being the normal Spottedtail.", he purred flashing her a smile. "I love you, Spottedtail, I have and always will love you even in death.", he sighed dramatically.
