She openned her mouth to speak at the first comment, but nothing came out. Why? She had nothing to say. She was scared on what to say, sort of.

Then when he said the second comments, her mind went whirling.

"I don't see why I should be dedicated to the clan.. Sure, I'm the "Leader" But I'm not really. Sure, WaveStar died and I was next in line, but if StarClan doesn't accept it, I'm not really the leader.."

She just sighed, and looked away. She didn't know what to do or say now. She then looked back.

"I want to leave the clan, but you are right. I won't."

She said it quite seriously.

"For certain reasons."

She continued on, but stopped at the part with reasons, for she doesn't know them completely.

Does the reasons for staying outweigh the ones for leaving?” Moonsight paused, blinking slowly. “I’m sorry this is working out this way for you Foxstar. But maybe, if you want to leave, you should. Forget about the consequences… and if you really are afraid of going alone, maybe I could take you someplace…” He broke of uneasily, fidgeting slightly.

"I.. will stay for about another moon, and see how it goes.. I want to see if it will fall apart, like I think it will."

She glanced at him, confusion filling her eyes.

Moonsight glanced up at Foxstar, studying her for a moment before shrugging defiantly. “Because I want to. Isn’t that enough?” He paused, frowning for a moment. “Do you really not want me to trust you? If that’s the case, I guess I could go find something else…”

When MoonSight said that, she placed her paw infront of him, not even noticing where it could go. All she felt beneath her paw was fur. MoonSight's fur.

She quickly removed her paw, her ears pinning back against her head.

"It isn't that!"

She lowered herself closer to the ground, head bowed down slightly, in a drooping manner.

"I.. am just so confused right now. I don't know.. I feel like I don't know anything!"

Moonsight berated himself silently. “I’m sorry I said that. Guess I have a lot on my mind lately.” Pausing he took a step back away from Foxstar, not trusting himself so close to her. Sighing, he sat down quietly. “I wish one thing could come easily to me…just once…”

FoxStar's ears flicked, noticing his distance increasing. She was starting to tense up, not sure how to react now. He obviously didn't want to be near her anymore, she freaked him out enough.

"I-I-I see."

She murmured, her eyes feeling as if they were getting wetter, as in, watery, but that could be her imagination. She was imagining a lot of things lately, but they were. Why?

She shrugged to herself, it probably looking very rude.

Moonsight glared sharply at Foxstar, what did she have to say sorry for? “Why should you say sorry? I’m the one messing all of this up. I’m the one that I can’t trust.” He paused, taking in her face for a moment before gasping quietly. “See? I can’t even have a civil conversation with a cat without making them cry! I’m sorry Foxstar.” He stepped forward almost on instinct, letting his pelt mingle with hers.

"I trust you!"

She almost yowled, but she kept it at a "inside" voice.

When he said something about her tears, she ran her fore-paw across her eyes.

"I.. feel like I'm messing this up. I feel like I'm causing you this pain.. Am I?"

She felt his pelt mingle with hers, a soft purr starting to release from her form, not even realizing it.

Moonsight ignored Foxstar’s first comment. Absently he laid his head against hers before sighing contentedly, for a moment he let his mind wander before finally snapping back to the present. He shifted his weight awkwardly before tilting his head so he could watch Foxstar. “You’re not messing anything up Foxstar.”
