Simba watched as the pale gray she-cat began to crouch down in fear. Why is she afraid of me? I've done nothing wrong! Well, yet...
"No need to be scared," he meowed gently to her. "I'm not going to hurt you."
When the black cat growled menicingly toward him, he hardly took any notice. "So your name's Whisperpaw...? Hm... What an odd name... But then again, you probably think mine's pretty strange, as well!"
But when the black she-cat leapt, however, the dark tabby was caught off guard. He stared in horror at her before clumsily dodging to the side. He found himself rolling away from her claws, and began to grow dizzy.
"Hey, Meanypaws!" he said, trying to incorperate the 'paw' the the other cat had in her name with his failed attempt at an insult. He never was good at making others feel bad. Just happy. Or scared. "What did I do to you? I was just trying to help you out! Jeez," he said, directing his mew towards what seemed to be the more friendly Whisperpaw. "How can you stand being with such a hot-headed snob?"
