Riverclan Meeting

[CROOKY]

Crookedstar padded up to the high log. Leaping atop of it she called a clan meeting. "Let all cats old enough to hunt gather beneath high log." She yowled out across the clearing to all the cats in the clan. She had alot of things to accomplish today. new deputy, new apprentices, new everything. She sat and waited patiently for the cats to gather.

SnowFeather came bounding out, sitting afar from the log. She sighed, looking up at her. She didnt' like what she did the other day, with the gathering and all. "Deputy I presume.." She purred softly, but then stopped. She knew she wasn't going to get picked, since she was being quite rude to her the other day.

Ravensent bounded into camp with a mouse in her muzzle, putting it on the fresh-kill pile before sitting before the High Log, her tail twitching in excitement as she gazed up at her new leader, Crookedstar. Now Crookedstar would be closer to StarClan than ever. 'What a lucky cat! But then again, she will have many new responsibilities, and these are dark times. Perhaps I shouldn't envy her...' she thought to herself.

Streamfur heard the meeting call and looked up from her piece of fresh-kill. She took the last bite, so she wouldn't waste it, and went to gather with the cats. She saw Snowfeather and went to sit by her. "Hey, Snowfeather," she meowed. She looked up at Crookedstar and smiled.

Smallwillow walked to the highlog. After the fight with a fellow Riverclanner, she didn't seem to want to be around anyone, but she had to. She looked up at Crookedheart and sat down.

SnowFeather perked her ears up, glancing at Streamfur. She gave Streamfur a nod, "Hi there." She fixed her gaze at Smallwillow, shaking her head. "Why do I have to fight with people?" She shrugged, her gaze fixing back on CrookedStar.

Crookedstar sat patiently waiting for her clan. Once they were assembled she jumped down from the rock. "Skykit, Crowfit, and Eclipsekit come before me." She called "It is time you were apprenticed." She waited for the kits to come bouncing before her.

Streamfur looked at the kits, thinking that maybe she would get one as an apprentice. She shrugged the thought away, not caring who really go it, unless the mentor was a terrible mentor. But she didn't think anyone would be a terrible mentor, they were all great. She looked at the kits again, hoping this time.

SnowFeather looked at CrookedStar, wondering if she would get one. She hoped she didn't upset CrookedStar so bad, that she was not trusted no more. She looked down at her paws again, her eyes closed.

Streamfur looked at Snowfeather. "Are you alright?" she asked, hoping Snowfeather wasn't sad. She looked at Snowfeather's closed eyes. She shuffled her paws and looked back at Crookedstar.

SnowFeather looked at Streamfur, "I don't think I'll get an Apprentice, I mean, I don't mind.. but I think CrookedStar lost her trust in me.. when I talked like that to her when DuskStar.. ya know.." She sighed, her paws scuffling against eachother.

Foxpelt ran into the clearing. She had just gotten back from hunting and sat down to listen. She saw the kits and remembered they were being apprenticed. She looked around picking out potential mentors.

Streamfur looked at Snowfeather. "I'm sure she hasn't lost all her faith in you," she meowed, "I mean, you're so nice and..and..." She trailed off, not sure of what to say. "But just think happy thoughts. Maybe you'll get an apprentice, maybe not. Who really cares? I mean, I probably won't get one either. But I want one..." she trailed off again.

SnowFeather noticed how she didn't know anything to say, except 'nice.' She shook her head, Should I just become a loner? She thought to herself, glancing around. She stood up, and started to walk out of camp, not feeling herself. "..Sure." She simply mumbled when departing, not sure if Streamfur heard or not.

Streamfur looked at the ground, disappointed. She hadn't helped Snowfeather at all. It had made her feel worse. She shook her head, asking herself why she had to speak. She looked around the camp and saw Foxpelt enter. She walked over and meowed, "Hi, Foxpelt!" She had a sad face on, because she wasn't able to help Snowfeather.
