She did not want her clanmates to judge her like they judged Crookedstar.

Leopardclaw bounded up to the fresh-kill pile his stomach beginning to growl. He saw Firestar walking over to see her happy as a clam. "Hello my love how are you?", he asked licking her stomach. He had to bottle the fear he felt around Firestar not wanting her to think they had made a mistake. He loved her and he would do whatever she wanted to please her.
