Ice bounded toward the camp, blue eyes shining brightly. He had not waited for his friend, Bluejay, or Moonlight. He was too excited. The pale kit's paws seemed to guide themselves forward until he had come upon the biggest group of cat he had ever seen in his short life. The smell itself was overpowering, so many and so unfamiliar!

The little tom's tail was high as he looked around the camp. As much as it was strange, a twinge had gone off in his mind. Almost like a flash of déjà vu, only to realize it must have been a dream, because he knew that he had never set paw in this place before. Shoving the thought aside with a twitch of his tail, Ice sat there and smiled happily, waiting for Moonshine and Bluejay to catch up.

Firestar was in camp, her eyes saw the little kit. She raised her eyebrows and padded towards it. "Who are you, kit?" she asked, her voice was kind and motherly. "I am Firestar." she said.

Ice rose to his paws as the new she-cat came toward him. He looked up at her, still smiling, glad to know that she was friendly. "I'm Ice! Moonlight saved me from the river and brought me and my friend here. She said she could be our new Momma, and that we could live here!" A little purr filled his words.

Moonlight bounded up carrying Bluejay in by the scruff then set him down. She heard Ice as she caught up to him and looked up to Firestar "Firestar please listen to me before you make you decision let me talk. I am loyal to Riverclan and I have been here for a moon or so, these kits were by the river and don't seem to know were or who there mothers are and so I thought since they seemed interested in clan life after explaining it to them that they would have to follow the code of our great warrior ancestors. Also since I have still to move from the nursery I thought maybe I could adopt them and they could train to be warriors when they become six moons old" she explained to her leader hoping that she wouldn't be to mad at her and maybe she could see that they would also become Riverclaners.

Firestar nodded, "Well." she said after a long silence. "This is a big decision. I think maybe we should talk alone. Please, come in my den for a moment." she said, she jumped gracefully towards her den, disappearing inside.

She nodded and looked to the kits "come follow me and you can sit outside the den till were done and you can see the Clan cats live out there lives" she mewed as she walked neside them to the leaders den.

Ice nodded, looking excitedly to Bluejay. "Sounds good to me!" he mewed before bounding off towards where the new she-cat had dissapeared, not going in nor paying much attention, but looking around the camp with wide and curious eyes.

Bluejay padded after Ice, the little tom sitting down beside his companion. No, his brother. That's the term he would use for him now. For Ice was more his brother than anything else. He looked at a few of the cats, two who's bellies were swelling with kits. Dappledleaf and Shadowshine. The black she-cat took one look at the kits then snorted, padding over. "Look what the cat dragged in. A couple of overgrown mice." The sadistic black flirt said. She opened her mouth to call them something else when the calico padded over with a growl. Dappledleaf, the deputy's mate. "Stop that, Shadowshine. Go torment someone else." She said, pinning her ears back for a split second. The black she-cat snorted, padding off with a saucy flick of the tail. "Hello little ones."

Open Doors

Ice's ears had fell back at the first queen's words, but pricked up once again after the second she-cat spoke. "Hi!" he mewed. "I'm Ice, and this is my, uh, brother, Bluejay!" He grinned sheepishly. It was weird calling Bluejay his brother, but it was true now.
