Clovernose crept silently closer to the creek. She had heard of cats venturing into its depths to swim, but she had never tried it. Until this day. Today was the day that she would finally see if she could swim these enchanted currents. She had heard of cats swimming, Like Jaggedpelt, and Mosspelt. But she had always been taught that Windclan cats should spend their time chasing the rabbits across the moors, and leave the swimming to Riverclan. But today was the day that she had finally decided to dip her feet in the water and swim away. She padded up to the riverbank and dipped her feet in the water. The water was cold and she was soon dreading the feeling of water spreading through her fur. But she had promised herself that she would try.

She gritted her teeth together and held her breath making a wild leap for the water. But for some reason or another she ended up in the tree next to the bank. Her chest was heaving her breath rushed. It was very obvious that getting her into the water was going to be a lot harder than the actual swimming.

I padded close to the creek not noticing the other cat. I dipped a small paw inside the water. Then i slowly lowered myself into the water. I held onto the edge of the land as the water rushed between my legs. It felt cold and refreshing. I didnt know how to swim of course. I would drown if i let go of the piece of land i was holding on. I should learn to swim though. I suddenly smelt another cat. From my clan. "Who’s there?" i mewed.
