Taking A Winter Swim (open)

A thick silvery pelted she-cat padded to the icy covered water. "Hmm?" The ice seems a little thinner here." Willowrain padded onto the ice and broke a hole in it with her paws. The silver specked she-cat's brilliant blue eyes lit up as she jumped into the water, her thickpelt protecing her from the cold as she enjoyed her time. "The water is so calm and gentle. I love swimming!" Willowpelt smiled, splashing in her hole in the ice.

A cream and brown she-cat padded close to the shore of the river. It was frozen now, but with new-leaf on the horizon, it would soon be running its normal corse. Her brown tail dusted against the surface of the ice, sending a small chill down her spine. She was glad leaf-bare was ending.

Mintflower had hoped for a bit of time alone, all to herself. Keeping up with patrols and hunting had her exhauste, so a break sounded like one of the best things she'd heard that quarter moon. And since she was a Riverclan cat, hanging around by a river only seemed natural.

Much to her dismay, the she-cat spotted another figure not far from where she stood. It appeared as though they were... swimming. "How can she be swimming?" she murmered. "The river's still frozen over..."

Curious, she padded closer to where the cat, a clanmate, pressumably, was splashing about. "H-hello," she stuttered. "May I ask... what are you doing...?"

Willowrain paused, looking up at her clanmate. "Oh! Hello." The silver she-cat smiled. "I needed a swim so I broke a hole in the ice. The water's nice and calm so I figured a cold swim would wake me up." She puled her long, flecked pelt out of the water and shook off far enough away that Mintflower didn't get wet. "I'm Willowrain by the way." The she-cat blinked at Mintflower. "Don't worry, I'm a riverclan warrior. I'm just not in camp alot. That's why you don't recognise me." Willowrain smiled. "What're you out here for?" The flecked she-cat asked curiously.

"Isn't it a little, w-well, to cold?" Mintbreeze asked, tipping her head a bit. As Willowrain shook out her pelt, the shy siamese took a step or two back. The cold water might not have been able to hit her, but she wasn't taking any chances.

"Nice to... meet you," she replied. "I'm M-mintbreeze." Can't you speak without stuttering for once? she yelled at herself, feeling a bit upset that she had to turn out so shy. "I do recognise you... I j-just never quite caught your name." She smiled back weakly, slowly pawing the ground.

"I was just getting out for a b-bit... If you don't want me around I-I can... leave..."
