Cooling off

[Tanglekit]

Jaggedpelt walked down to the creek and took a few cooling drinks. He dipped his paws in the cool water then walked a few tail lengths away. He sat down in the shade trying to cool down because his dark fur kept in so much heat. He was shedding but not fast enough to do any good so he layed there enjoying the misty air from the creek.

SpottedPaw had no clue why she was out of camp. She looked at JaggedPelt, and he seemed awkward, like something was bothering him. She padded up towards him, and tilted her head, "Something wrong?"

Mosspelt chuckled, padding towards the two. Her brown eyes sparkled with amusement, her short brown fur had already shedded, and she was perfectly cool. It was kind of funny to see Jaggedpelt in such discomfort, yet she felt bad for him. "The furball is shedding, that's all."

[Tanglekit]

Jaggedpelt sneered playfully then walked over and licked Mosspelt's cheek. He was getting hotter by the moment. "I will be right back", He said in an anxious tone. He then ran full on and jumped into the creek. The cool water was relaxing and it washed away all of the loose hair.

Mosspelt laughed at the tom, it was interesting being with him some times. Though Moonsight was also interesting, he wasn't quite the same as Jaggedpelt. Shaking her head she padded towards the edge of creek and padded onto a fallen tree that was hanging over the river. Sitting in the middle she let the small mist that continuously sprayed up wash away any heat that was lingering on her body.

SpottedPaw just nodded, seeing they probably want some alone time. "Er..I'll be going." She turned, and scampered off.

Jaggedpelt hopped out of the creek all clean and feeling much better. The water cooled his skin. He dried quickly then jumped into the tree with Mosspelt. He enjoyed the mist also and then layed down. He swatted at Mosspelt's tail playfully. He was intrigued by this beautiful female and loved being around her.

Mosspelt laughed as she watched the young apprentice leave . She didn't have to, they weren't really doing anything, Spottedpaw was welcome anywhere as far as Mosspelt was concerned. She had once felt sorry for the young cat, but now that she had started to make friends, she realized that she was better off now. Turning towards Jaggedpelt she nudged him a bit, chuckling. "I didn't know my tail was so interesting."

He purred and simply replied, "Everything about you is interesting". He couldn't help but snuggle closer to her. He felt so safe next to her. He wanted to stay here with her forever.

Mosspelt sighed happily, she couldn't have asked for a better tom to fall in love with. Laying her head in her paws she watched the water sparkle as the sunlight shimmered off it, reveling in Jaggedpelt's presence. For once she didn't know of what to say, so instead, she just sat there, enjoying everything about her life.

Jaggedpelt was purring very loudly which was something he never did. He sat up and look at the beautiful she-cat. He felt like the luckiest tom in the world to be picked by the most perfect cat in the entire fourclans.

Mosspelt groaned as Jaggedpelt sat up. Looking up she squinted slightly as Jaggedpelt was sitting in the sun. "Why'd you sit up?"

[Tanglekit]

"Oh sorry", He said shyly. He layed back down and started licking Mosspelt. When he was done he pressed his nose to her fur and left it there enjoying her beautiful scent. He wanted to stay here all the time just stay here no one else just him and Mosspelt.

Mosspelt laughed at Jaggedpelt's reaction, she found it cute. Laying her head down she relaxed, it was one of the few times she found that she could actually relax. Moving her head so that it was hanging over the log and into the mist, she let the fine spray wash away what tongues could not.

He was getting hot again so he dived back into the creek. He didn't want to swim alone so he snuck up behind Mosspelt and pushed her in with a chuckle of success.
