He grumbled, climbing up a nearby tree. He set the kit on a branch, but curled his tail around her body to make sure she wouldn't fall.

"Tell me. I understand the part with her friends, and I didn't exactly mean to on the last cat... I really didn't. Sure, I wanted to do damage.. but then.. Oh.. nevermind."

Koella frowned nestling into the tom not wanting to be exposed to the cold. "They are mad at Shadowclan for protecting you even though they knew you had done something wrong.", she whimpered shivering in the wind. "And Tanglestar is angry with you because you never admitted that you have made a horrible mistake, she says that all you have ever done is make excuses about how it was all your fault. But most of all she is sad for her lost warriors. They are like her kits and you took them away from her, just like you took me away from my family,", she said yawning wishing that she was back home nestled in her mother's belly.

He curled his tail around the kit even more, letting her come closer.

"I know I have done wrong, I will admit that. Second time, it was partially my fault, I know that, but not all of it. I would explain more, but... It is hard to."

He looked away a bit, and gave the kit's ear a gentle lick.

"You remind me of your father a bit."

He smiled weakly.

"How would you know about my father. Apparently you don't care for him very much since you stole me.", she snorted licking his chest in return. "That is exactly what makes Tanglestar mad. She doesn't want to hear that it was partially your fault and that you didn't mean it. She wants you to say that it is all your fault and that you don't blame other cats for you mistakes.", she sighed curling up.

DirtFur frowned a bit, and looked down.

"But.. you do know I'm sorry, right? I will tell her it is all my fault, if it will make things better. Do you know if it will?"

He looked at her with pleading eyes, his ears flickering.

Koella sighed. "I am not sure I am just a kit. I am not her mate or mother or sister.", she snicked. She looked from side to side before turning to face him. "Why did you take me?", she asked hoping he would let her go.
