Mousefur had moved into the nursery many suns ago and he belly was plump and fat. She felt tremors and kicks occasionally, but today they had been very often and closer together than usual. She had never given birth and it scared her to think that she might die in kit-birth. She was frightened at the thought of how she might not be here after today or tomorrow. She looked around with fatigue and laziness when she falt a great pain in her abdomen. "Ahh", was all she could manage to scream before she choked off in fear and amazement. Another pain struck and the she felt the air return to her throat. "Riddlehawk!", was all she managed to scream before once again she felt fear overwhelm her.

Riddlehawk had taken to patroling the outer borders of the camp since Tanglestar and Mousefur had gotten back. He hadn't said much to Mousefur since she had gotten back, and it didn't really seem like he cared anymore. All that was erased when he heard Mousefur cry out. He reeled on his paws, bolting into the den. His single gold eye was wide and he darted over to Mousefur's side. He nuzzled her gently. "I'm here, love. Don't worry. Everythings ok." He purred, flicking his tail. He was anxious. Kits!

Mousefur relaxed a little when she saw that Riddlehawk by her side. A nother pain struck and she screeched with pain as the contractions started. She felt the urge to push but fear gripped over her and she desperately wanted Rainwing to tell her what to do!

Riddlehawk flicked his tail back and forth anxiously. "Do you need me to go get Rainwing? Or get some poppyseeds? Anything?" He asked quickly, his eye worried and excited at the same time. He hated to see her in pain but he was excited about the kits!

Rainwing had been sorting herbs in his den, realizing how lonely it was without Dappledfrost. They would usually do this together, chatting about all sorts of things as they did it. His thoughts were disturbed by the cry of Mousefur, ears twitching and he picked his head up in surprise. She had been looking like she was due, but was it now? He quickly grabbed some poppy seeds and other herbs and followed the sound of her voice and Riddlehawks. "I'm here, I'm here..." He murmured with a soft smile.

Mousefur's eyes began to water as fear and pain rolled through her body. She yelped silently before she leaned down to lap up the herbs. "Rainwing I am scared.", she whined starting to push. She pushed from her head to toe tring as hard as she could to get the first kit out of her. And she wasn't even sure how many kits she was carrying at this point. So counting or hoping for relief was pointless.

Riddlehawk licked her cheek, worry welling up in him. He was worried about her. He was scared that she wasn't okay.

OCC: xD It would be epic towards the whole plot if that did happen. Cuz he'd turn into Mom and have to deal with kits asking questions. xD I can just imagine him having to play the mommy role.

Rainwing took a deep breath, remembering everything Dappledfrost had taught him. "It's okaty we're both here. Just breath and relax. It's a motherly instinct that comes to you, you just need to push when you feel it's time to." He said calmly, not letting her in on the fact that this was only the second kitting he had done. He picked up a wet piece of moss and put it to her forhead gingerly.

Mousefur winced and started to get the feeling that she would need to push very soon. She felt another sharp pain before she began a rapid pushing spree. She heaved and pushed taking in small breaths to help with the pain. The poppy seeds hadn't quite kicked in yet and she began to feel the head on pain when suddenly it was gone. and next to her lied a small brown striped kit. "Riddlekit.", she purred warmly.

Rainwing smiled, nudging the little newborn kit towards Riddlehawk. "Here, start licking him to warm him up and make it easier for him to breath." He said softly, but with a firmness in her voice to show that this was important.

Riddlehawk stared at the little tom kit, immeadiatly moving in when Rainwing told him too. He licked the little tom, his big tongue making swathing movements across him. He purred, flicking his tail. His first son of his first litter! He nuzzled the little kit, his ears flickering back and forth as the small tom was a bit more fluffed.

Mousefur felt the rising pain come back and began to push. The pain rose more and more until she felt another body warm next to her. She looked back to see a grey she-kit that had lighter markings. When she saw her little daughter she immediately thought of the name that would match her perfectly. "Ripplekit", she smiled licking this kit herself. She then leaned over and nuzzled Riddlekit and Ripplekit into her belly to suckle.
