Dappledfrost could do nothing but stare at her apprentice. Rainpaw... Moonshine, whoever it was, was ebbing her apprentice away into a thing of heck. She quivered as she undead cat spoke through him until she couldn't watch anymore. Her vision blurred with tears. "Please, Moonshine! Leave him! Don't make us see this omen!"

Flightpaw recoiled in horror, her green eyes wide with fear. She didn't pay any attention to the sounds coming from the tom, only how he looked like a living nightmare. R-Rainpaw?

Moonshine turned her gaze to Dappledfrost, her/his bodies eyes clouded over and bleeding from the corners. "Quiet Dappledfrost." She hissed, lashing her/his tail. She padded towards Tanglestar, his/her eyes glaring at her. "It's time for Starpaw to go. Let him and Dirtfur go peacefully and treat Shadowheart right. Or I will come back. And you do not want that." She growled. She padded back towards the place she had been earlier, withdrawing from Rainpaw's body, going back to Starclan and letting the illusion slip away to where the young apprentice looked normal again.

DirtFur looked at the ground, and sighed. He didn't want to go, but if it was MoonShine's orders, he will obey it.

Shadowheart looked at Dirtfur, she frowned and sighed. She limped into her nest and watched Dirtfur...

Rainpaw didn't know what happened to him, one minute he was watching his clanmates almost ready to tear into Dirtfur and then....stars. He saw the brightest stars, hearing a gentle voice. Moonshine? It was her body in which the stars were formed, some other Starclan forms around her. Was he seeing a vision? Nobody else seemed to see them. No...because Moonshine padded towards him and seemed to go through him almost, except when her cold starry pelt touched him, it seemed to sweep across him like cool water, but it was soothing and breathtaking. But then he couldn't control his body, it felt like he was some other cat...watching his body move on its own. And then...everything was back to normal. A rush of senses flooding over him, overwhelming him. He blinked, trying to focus on the cats in front of him that were blurry and as he took a step forward, his legs crumbled beneath him. He was just so....tired. As he hit the ground, he just didn't have the energy to get up, like it had taken all his energy for Moonshine to speak through him. He closed his eyes, too exhausted to stay awake.

"Rainpaw!" The medicine cat rushed over to the fallen apprentice, fear still shaking her heart. She nosed him anxiously. Dappledfrost didn't believe that Moonshine had hurt him, but after seeing what she had it was hard not to worry. Not wanting to cause a scene, she spoke more gently. "Rainpaw? How are you feeling?"

Rainpaw's ears twitched slightly but he didn't open his eyes. He couldn't open them more like it. All he wanted was sleep...But that was Dappledfrost's voice. She sounded worried...he had to answer. "J-just...tired.." He murmured very softly, unable to go any louder. His breathing began to slow as he started to lose consciousness.

Dappledfrost sighed in slight relief. "Well, don't go to sleep just yet. I can't just leave you in the middle of camp like this." She looked around and saw Flightpaw a little ways off. "Flightpaw, come help me get Rainpaw into his den." The apprentice nodded quickly, bounding over and supporting Rainpaw's weight as Dappledfrost nudged him to his paws. The medicine cat looked to Shadowheart. "You need rest, too. Head back to your nest, I'll be there in a heartbeat." With Flightpaw's help, she began leading her apprentice toward the medicine cat's den.

Alone In All This Fear

Shadowheart nodded, "Yes," she murmured. "I think I'm just going to go to sleep now anyways." she said, her turned over in her nest and fell into a light sleep.

Rainpaw barely picked up his paws, more like dragged them all the way to his nest. His tail was down and he could hardly walk straight. As soon as his paws hit the soft nest, he collapses again, head on his paws and out in a few seconds.

Tanglestar was very unhappy why was Starclan taking the apprentice away he was to stay here till he had his warrior name. She sat with shock covering her pelt. "Good bye Starpaw may Starclan guide your path.", she sighed a silver tear sliding down her pelt.

Sunflash had watched the whole affair with awe and concieled fear. The vision had indeed been horrific, but when the subject turned to Starpaw, anger replaced all emotion. Why was StarClan telling him to go? They had promised a choice, a forked path, not that he would be sent back to ShadowClan with their teachings. But he knew he couldn't alter StarClan's choice; they'd probably return with worse things to show. Irritation prickling through defeat, he padded up to Tanglestar and nuzzled her cheek in comfort, not knowing what else to do.
