Dissappearance?[Foxflight//open]

Ferncloud sat alone in her usual spot in the clearing. What was unusual was the activity she was doing. Usually she would drift into herself and think maybe hunt or rest but today she was wary and looked cautious. Her eyes were open ears pricked and her nose and mouth searching for something. But what was it the she-cat could possible be looking for, well in this case she was looking for Foxflight, without actually looking for him. She didn't want to offend him , by being clingy, but she wanted to have a good sense where he was for the majority of the day.

Foxflight's eyes shone from the entrance of camp as he walked into the clearing. A very lean rabbit hung from it, but he was glad to get this much meat in leaf-bare. The snow was just ridiculous these days. It was everywhere, even in his ears, but he was glad that paw prints showed up in it for the sake of prey.

Quickly, he went over to the prey pile and dropped the rabbit. The pile was low, but Thunderclan wasn't starving and he was glad. He then sat down and licked his chest fur down. The rabbit had caused it to ruffle up funny and it irritated him. With a few more licks, he was done only to feel eyes bore into his head. His ears instantly pricked and he turned his gaze around to face his onlooker.

What he saw were the most beautiful eyes he'd ever had the privilege to see. It was Ferncloud, the shy she-cat he had become friends with a couple of moons ago. Foxflight instantly felt guilty for not talking to her in a while. Deciding it wouldn't be a bad thing to catch up, he got up and walked to her. "How are you Ferncloud?," he mewed.

Ferncloud smiled and relaxed about when she saw the tom she had been longing for. Her eyes closed in comfort and she re opened them to see the tom sitting next to her. She smiled shyly watching him as he watched her and looking into marvelous eyes herself. "I am good. How are you?", she mewed in a gentle whisper trying to sit up with confidence the way her had taught, but sometimes it was trickier than it looked.

Ferncloud seemed to instantly relax as she recognized him. He smiled at her answer. She was doing okay and nothing had changed that. He only wished it was the same for him. Her openness to him made him feel instantly safe and secure. Foxflight fought the urge to pour all the stuff he was keeping inside out to her. I'm not fine! I'm trying to lead a group of cats to overthrow the leaders, but other than that yes I'm quite content, he thought annoyingly. That would just go over so well, wouldn't it?

He kept his expression cheerful for Ferncloud's sake and replied automatically. "I'm doing alright, being leaf-bare and all," he mewed with a smile.

She nodded again gently trying to keep her confident facade up. She did feel better whenever he was around but that still didn't change the fact that she was always wary. In her wariness she had noticed that Foxflight would leave the camp some diffrent nights and go off somewhere. To what destination was unknown to her but she was optimistic about this cat antd trusted that he was doing something good. She ducked down a little shyly to mouth her thoughts about another subject and hoped he would take it better than others she had brought up in the past. "Foxflight? I just want you to know that you are the closest thing to a friend I have ever had.", she mewed softly hoping he wouldn't pull back like he had done when she licked him. He had made it quite clear that those sort of gestures were unwelcome between them and this one might be no different.
