Tanglestar would never had thought that she would have ever been in this position. Not in all of her nine lives. She didn't even think that Starclan could have predicted this sudden change of events. She had been waiting in her den for a long while. She had blocked herself from her clan, thinking and planning. How ever could her mind have taken such a turn. She sighed deeply feeling a great relief in her heart, thinking about the burden she was about to get rid of. She looked up to the roof of her den imagining all of the stars that must have been guiding her thoughts and actions.
Her injustice had been very cruel and she felt ashamed, truly ashamed of the way she had acted and treated Dirtfur. When she could of been forgiving and just, she had become a different person other than herself. She was stricken with grief when she thought about how she had corrupted herself in the pursuit of revenge. Her behavior as she looked back upon it made her sick to her stomach. She was just beginning to see the consequences of her own actions. Perhaps Dirtfur would never forgive her, but she owed him an apology at the very least, and at the most she felt that he deserved a place in their clan that did not involve force of will.
She could not allow his circumstances to continue. She felt outraged. Thunderclan's ancestors had been those of kindess and acceptance. She thought about the lovely Bluestar and reminded herself of all that Bluestar wen through but still dealt with all using her sweet temperament and justice.
If Tanglestar was not to be forgiven then she would understand, but Tanglestar did not want to feel this grief and hatred pouring over herself anymore. Her nature had been corupted and now she just hoped that she couild bring about the peace that her noble clan once had. Before she had been unstable and unpredictable causing many of her clan to distrust her. But she didn't want her clan to be divided anymore, and not for the sake of protection and well being, but for the sake of her family. Her clan was her family even though she had relatives they had not the pull on her heart as her clan did.
Many people in her clan were beginning to think her weak and frail, and she couldn't agree more. She had been weak, weak in the veil of hate and falsehood. But she had just rediscovered her compassion, and her true reason for being a clan leader. To give her clan mates the best rate of survival and as good a time on this earth before they departed to Starclan. And she had made mistakes before but now that she was back to normal she could feel her regained strength and power of mind.
