A Leader's Return(CLAN MEETING-DEPUTYSHIP+LONERS)

Spottedstar entered the ShadowClan camp, the family of loners close behind. Leaning over her shoulder, she mewed back to the mother. "You see that low branch over there? I will call the Clan from that spot. Please take your kits under there. My warriors won't harm them." She then left them there and bounded across the camp and up into the indicated pine. She was running short of time. If she did not appoint a new deputy soon, StarClan would be angry. But already she knew just who that cat would be. She raised her voice to attract the ears of all of ShadowClan.

"Cats old enough to catch their own prey gather below the Highbranch for a Clan meeting!"

Hawkwhisper caught a strange scent as it wafted through the air to her. hmm what is this? bringing more outsiders into the clan are we? This was just what she suspected and expected from Spottedstar ever since she had even been made deputy. If I was leader I would focus on making us strong not letting filth enter the clan. She thought to herself and slowly stood up with her eyes slitted she walked over to the branch. She settled down again and tossed her glance towards the top where Spottedstar would address the clan.

Whisperkit had been playing around in the nursery. She looked up at her mother Runningpath. "can I go to the meeting mommy? can i?!" He begged sincerly and tried to scrunch his face into that expression that he knew his mother couldnt say no to.

Shadow curled beside her kits. Fang was panting, desperate to not fall behind.

Clawtooth was in a hopeful mood, gazing up at Spottedstar with every bit attention on his leader.

bic: Spottedstar remained quiet while the cats gathered. She had caught sight of Hawkwhisper, and had her thoughts confirmed. Not all of her Clan would see it fit to welcome these strange cats. But this might not even be permanent. Shadow might take her kits away once leaf-bare passes. Gathering self-confidence, she continued to wait.

Hazelcloud padded forward to join the gathering group of cats. She looked up at Spottedfire- no, Spottedstar- and then at the loners below her. Who are they? Are they prisoners? She whispered to Shadowpelt. "Do you know those cats?"

"Of course, Whisperkit!"

She licked him on the head gently, and looked at Carekit, who had been squealing with excitement.

"You can go too."

She licked her on the head before she dashed off into the clearing.

Hawkwhisper saw how many cats their were and stood up a little distressed. She looked to the other cats in her clan. "Who are these cats Spottedstar? Are they prisoners? If they trespassed I'll deal with them..." She hissed looking at them with wide eyes. It was not the way of Shadowclan to let any unpure cats near their camp. What was becoming of the clan!

Whisperkit squealed with excitement and even stuck his head up to accept the loving lick from his mother. "Thanks mommy" He squealed as he looked at Carekit and ran towards the center of camp. Almost immediately he heard the sound of kits squealing with their mother. He looked around and saw the kits under the branch.

DirtFur had returned, and dashed through the camp, with slitted eyes. He looked at HawkWhisper, immediatly hearing her thoughts out loud.

He went up to her, and smiled.

"You will see."

Shadow heard the cats remark, "We are not prisoners fur-ball." she hissed cold and softly.

Hawkwhisper whipped her head to look at Dirtfur and relaxed her fur a bit. "Rogues to join our clan?! Dirtfur we can not allow such things." She said quietly to the cat so that it was just between them. She was waiting for his reply when he heard the cat call her a Furball. She looked at the cat. "Furball?? We'll see who's a useless lump of fur when I'm done with you. She threatened looking at the cat with contempt screaming in her eyes.

His tail tip rested on the she-cat's shoulder.

"Calm down."

His eyes were stern on the she-cat.

He removed his tail tip, and sat down, his tail neatly wrapped around his paws.

Shadow's teeth bared, she stood protectively over her kits and growled "Just you try!"

DirtFur growled.

"Quiet, Both of you!"

His eyes narrowed.

Shadow growled, "Hmph!" and went back to her kits.

"Silence!" Spottedstar's command rang through the camp, her fur bristling. Slowly she relaxed, then prepared to address them calmly. "Cats of ShadowClan, before you is a lone she-cat queen with her kits. Dirtfur came across her on our territory, and has suguested that we take her in for the upcoming leaf-bare. This does not mean that she is becoming a member of ShadowClan. We are only offering her shelter, as she had none of her own." She paused before she continued. "We are Clan cats, not heartless rouges. It would not be seen as good in the eyes of StarClan if we left a queen and kits to die when we could offer a chance at life. In any case, I am appointing Dirtfur to be their carekeeper. He will make sure they are feed and treated properly, as he had the idea of inviting them in." Her amber gaze looked down at the warrior meaningfully. If he was going to bring strays home with him, he was going to take responsibility.

Shadow growled slightly, but kept moderately quiet, "I don't need a carekeeper..." she said respectfully.
