Shadow sat again in the clearing as moonlight washed over her. Her eyes at the moon she wished she could understand this... StarClan that the Clan was speaking of. She of coarse-had never heard of it!

DirtFur's ears flicked, staring at Shadow. He padded over, and sighed.

"You okay there?"

His eyes were still filled with pain and grief, never going to be able to let go that he was the one who killed MoonShine.

Shadow nodded, "Yes. This is the time I can think about things. I've needed to think about alot lately."

DirtFur tilted his head, pain and grief still in his eyes, but along with Curiousity.

"What about?"

"Well, I kind of enjoy being in the clan. I think all the cats living together is smart, But I... I... I don't think the other Warriors like me-and if your leader accepts us into the clan, thats a whole new story! I don't want to change my name, or my kits... I'm so confused!" she sighed.

He flicked her ear with his tail.

"I'm sure I can convince SpottedStar not to do that, at least.. We need to do it to the kits. But not completely, adding kit at the end is okay, right? I might be able to convince her to let you say their names like before, like Shattered or Tears. Right?"

His ears flicked.

Shadow nodded, she shifted her paws. "What about me?" she said. "I've always... just been... Shadow..."

His head looked at the ground.

"You could be.. ShadowSong? Or.. ShadowLight? ShadowScreen? Shadowfur? ShadowMoss?"

his ears flicked.

Shadow shrugged, she winced a little bit-was there anyway she could keep her name-her dead parents gave them her name from her grand-mother-Shadow. They came from a far-away place... "My... um.. nevermind."

DirtFur let out a sigh.

"I might beable to make SpottedStar keep your name.."

"No! you don't need to do that-I.. I can do it myself." she insisted. She shook her head, "I never wanted a mate before, because I always though I would be a rouge-but since I had kits I.... I should be saying this-i should go back to bed..." she got up and took a step for the nursery.

DirtFur nodded, and stared at his paws.

"Sure.. Nice talking to you I guess.."

He sighed.

DirtFur sat in the open, and sighed. Snow started to shine down, but stopped for a bit. His ears went flat on his head.

"MoonShine, what should I do..?"

He murmured to himself, laying right there, starting to fall asleep.
