The Time Has Come

Spottedstar was about to agree, when she remembered what moon it was. "No, there's a Gathering tonight! I'd almost forgotten." She wasn't looking forward to seeing Tanglestar so soon after what had just happened, but it didn't look like she had a choice. "Clawpaw can meet up with the medicine cats at Fourtrees. Remember, you're the medicine cat apprentice now, with or without a mentor in ShadowClan."

Clawpaw ran to the entrance of the camp to filled with energy to weight and as Spottedstar went out Shadowfang would run the camp making sure the patrols went out and that we didn't go short of food.

Caution Every Step

Spottedstar nodded to Shadowheart. "Of course. Don't try going up to ThunderClan, though. Tanglestar would probably find reason to send an attack on you, Gathering or no Gathering." She grimaced. Without a doubt, this wasn't going to blow over any time soon.

"I promise Spottedstar, I laid no claw on any of her Warriors, nor would I without either a very good reason or orders. By very good reason I mean self-defense." She said, dipping her head. "I should get ready for the Gathering then?" She mewed.

Pack Up And Leave

Spotterdstar nodded, both proud and impressed by the warrior's respect and loyalty. I don't know how she and Dirtfur are attracted to each other. At some ends, they're complete opposites. "Yes. Grab a bite to eat, and we'll head out once the rest of the Clan is ready."

Shadowheart dipped her head and nodded, "I just ate, so I will wait for the others." she said, then padded away, towards the apprentice den to see her kits.

Anywhere But Home

Spottedstar watched her leave for the apprentices' den, then turned toward the fresh-kill pile on the old tree stump. She picked a frog for herself, as unlike some she prefered the oddily of the meal. But as she padded into her den to eat, her teeth worked against the prey's skin. Her nerves were getting to her, and there was nothing she could do about it. And to think that as deputy I thought being a leader would be easy.
