Brokenflame poked his head into the apprentice den, feeling now out of place in the den he'd slept in for the last several moons. He was looking for the tortoiseshell she-cat he'd once thought of as a friend, but who had become quite bristly toward him in the last couple moons. The tom still felt unhappy about the whole ordeal, as he didn't quite understand why she'd started hissing at him in the first place. It also reminded him of his loner brother, Tears.
It was late; the moon was high in the night sky, but it would be a while until it was at its full peek. The young warrior's amber eyes searched the darkness of the den.
The she-cat wasn't asleep at all, she was rather just laying in her nest, with her head on her black and orange paws. She didn't even feel drowsy, and she seemed to keep her attention on her sister who she hated; BlossomPaw.
She just wished for her to drop dead, so her mentor could pay attention to her not BlossomPaw. She wanted her dead, and if she cared so much about Clear and Venus, her mother and father, then she would of left already, not stayed just for TigerStorm!
She could of swore not too long ago she scented TigerStorm all over her, which made her fur prickle. She just wanted someone to talk to now, and it was rather difficult with her once good friend, BrokenPaw, who was BrokenFlame now, was gone, well, in the warrior's den, but still.
She knew it was rather late, so she sat up. She wanted to get out of the Apprentice's den, but she just wanted to keep her pretty little optics on her sister. She stood up, and shook her fur with a groan, hoping that it was rather quiet and not loud, then she looked away, towards the entrance.
She could of swore she heard his voice, but she ignored it, and walked over to the entrance. She then saw a glance of amber. She knew who it was, so she hurried even faster out, her paws slamming down upon the ground in loud thuds, but not loud enough to wake any cat up.
When she got out, all she could do was stare in awe-- at the sky. She loved the stars, she almost forgot what they looked like. She hoped to see a ""Pheonix,"" which is a comet, go across the sky. She then looked at BrokenFlame with a mew.
"Hiya!"
PheonixPaw squealed, but kindof in a quiet-ish way.
Brokenflame blinked in surprise as Phoenixpaw raced right out of the den and passed him, and his head had to swivel quickly to keep her in his sight. Both their tortoiseshell pelts did well to fade into the darkness of the night, but the orange on their pelts stood out well enough under the light of the moon and Silverpelt. "Hey," he mewed in a hushed voice, relieved that she was being so friendly- for now at least-, but knew that other cats were still asleep in their mossy nests.
The warrior smiled in amusement and twitched his whiskers. "You've got a lot of energy for this late an hour," he chuckled, flickering his tail out behind him. Then he paused, and looked warily at her. It felt weird being nervous about an apprentice's reaction to his words, whether or not he had just been an apprentice himself not but a few suns ago.
"Um, listen," he started out. "We haven't really talked since the night we snuck out of camp. I've felt kind of bad about that. So I just wanted to say I was sorry for whatever I said that ticked you off, and that I'd like to just put that behind." The tip of his tail began twitching again, but he did his best to keep it hidden behind him.
The she-cat's shoulders shrugged a bit, and looked towards her paws. She didn't really care about that, not no longer. But maybe, if that didn't happen, Aphrodite--BlossomPaw wouldn't be here. Maybe.
"I-I don't care about that... I just want my sister to leave! She's taking my precious time with TigerStorm!"
She looked up at BrokenFlame, her eyes rather pleading. She collapsed on the ground, for her legs gave way. She was just too tired, she couldn't keep on her paws. Reason being; she hasn't slept real well.
She looked up groggily at him, but soon got back up. She shook her dusty pelt and gave her flank a few licks.
"I'm better now, my legs are tired. I was just hoping to see a pheonix... I haven't.. seen one in a while."
The warrior was glad to hear that the matter that had been concerning him was passed her mind as well, but he was surprised to see such a look on her face. It was almost desperate. He flicked an ear uncomfortably. "Well, is it really-" he cut off when the apprentice fell to her paws, and alarm made his twiddling ear straighten. "Oh, hey!" Brokenflame leaned down to nudge Phoenixpaw back to her paws, but just a little, seeing that she had managed well enough on her own.
The tom looked at her with worry. "Then you should probably head back to your nest. I'm sorry, I should've waited until morning to talk to you." But when she mentioned the phoenix again, he raised a brow and looked up toward Silverpelt. Personally he doubted whether or not the fire-bird from his friend's memory was real. It was just so far fetched. "Well, those things are probably pretty rare. You're the only cat I know who has seen one." Brokenflame decided not to voice his opinion on if it existed or not to keep the rift between them closed.
He twitched his whiskers with a grimace. "Look, I don't really want your sister here either. It's not that she's a loner- I was loner born, so were you-, but that I can't see her being a warrior. She doesn't seem like the type that could." The tortoiseshell tom blinked. "But why is this about Tigerstorm? Why is he so important? I know he's your mentor and all, but he can't spend all his time with you."
The she-cat's nose wrinkled with disgust at the helping nudge, but of course, she ignored it, when she was looking straight at him with desperate eyes, still. Then she shook her head.
"I can't sleep."
She muttered, and sat down, ignoring how tired she was. She can be strong, yes she can!
"Yes, he is my mentor! We haven't trained ever since she freakin' arrived! Maybe once, only because I made him!"
She hissed, claws unsheathing. Her claws seemed to be scorching upon the ground in long and deep strokes. She was acting as if she was going insane, like she needed a straight jacket that is made for cats.
"I wish she was dead!"
Her teeth seemed to bare at the ground, right where her scratch marks were.
"I should of been made a warrior a bit earlier, shouldn't I? But no, she has to make him not train me. She has to get the attention, just because she is pretty and I'm not!"
Brokenflame's ears flickered in slight surprise at her anger. She definitely needed rest, or at least something to cool her pelt. But the warrior wasn't about to suggest that. Not while she was in this temper of hers. So how do I go about this?
He let one set of his own claws slip out, to sink into the earth. The tom wasn't angry, but it was almost for support. He would have to choose his words with extra care. "Then you need to give Tigerfang a wake-up call. If you've already confronted him about the matter..." The tortoiseshell warrior blinked as he sounded out the words in his head before saying anything out loud. "Then you need to deal with Blossompaw. Maybe not kill her, since if Spottedstar found out things wouldn't go well for you. But you could still make her disappear."
That information, well, suggestion, made this little tortie she-cat stop in her paw-steps. She moved her pretty little triangular head towards the tom, and couldn't help but let out a chesire grin.
"And are you willing to help?"
She padded closer to this tom, and couldn't help but give his cheek a friendly nudge with her muzzle.
"That might make things more swell. Maybe get Ma and Da to speak to her..."
Then, right when she said that, her claws dug right back in the ground.
"No. Not that. No."
She muttered mostly to herself, and started to pad back and forth.
Brokenflame winced in a playful sort of way when she nudged at his cheek. Talk about bouncing from one side of the fence to the other. She couldn't seem to stay in one mood for long. Not that he minded the change all that much. "Sure, why not? We hardly need a soft-paw like her hanging around. She's not strong enough for ShadowClan." He was about to say something in response to her next words, but she seemed to have changed her mind about something. "What?" he asked, narrowing his eyes in confusion. "What is it? You sounded set on the idea."
"It would be stupid, BrokenFlame. Although, I may be able to drag her there... I remember my way there. Knock her out, and drag her there. Yea, that would be swell."
She seemed to be sitting down now, a thoughtful expression upon her face. This was starting to excite her. She could easily make her sister think that.
"This time, I get what I want, not Aphrodite."
She knew she didn't say BlossomPaw, for that is not her name. Never will be.
"This time, I will get what I need. This time, I will achieve what I should of gotten awhile back."
She wasn't even thinking about how TigerStorm would react. If he found out, something bad might happen then...
Brokenflame smirked, approving her determination. "Yeah, that could work. I could help you carry her out there if you needed, or trail behind to cover up your scents. I could use a pine brach, or some mud." He shrugged, unconcerned. Whatever way wouldn't get his head chewed off by the younger cat.
"But it's not like you never get your way. I mean, you left your parents. You got to join ShadowClan, and get the mentor you wanted- even if he's not the most focused cat in the world." His dark whiskers twitched. Maybe that wasn't the best way to go about it, but the words were out.
"Aaanyway," he mewed, trying to pass over an argument, "if you're sure, when do you think would be a good opportunity? The Gathering's tomorrow."

Brokenflame smiled. "Sounds like a plan. Now go get some sleep- you'll need it, soon enough." The tortoiseshell warrior watched her bound back into the apprentice den and chuckled under his breath. What a charming little she-cat. So carefree, but willing to remove her sister from the picture just to get her old mentor's attention back.
He looked around him, making sure he hadn't woken anyone, particularly the senior warriors, then turned and padded silently back into the warriors den with a smile still on his muzzle.
