Clan: Riverclan
Age: 34 moons
Gender: Male
Position: Warrior
Short Description: A large white tom with ice blue eyes.
Description:
Body: Skysting is a big cat. Not like your normal average cat, but like a Maine Coon size. In battle, it's easy for him to squash the unlucky cat beneath him just by the sheer amount of muscle he pressurizes down on them. He's very fit, (He's my six-pack cat!) and has distinct muscles that make any she-cat, even in other clans, swoon and drool. You can see them moving and rippling throughout his pelt. His legs are long, short tufted, and pure. He has a long tail; so long if you bend it backwards it will be the exact length of his body. His paws are large, and his pads are scarred with scratches.Attitude:
Face: Skysting is not one to show emotions, especially in his face. Often times, his emotions are hidden behind his facial fur, which in the course of a rainy and windy day, can droop over his eyes. The fur itself around his face is soft and short, but it is highly doubtful you'll ever get close enough to see that embedded deep into his face, with ivory fur growing around it, are scars. Nasty ones, the ones that make you flinch if you ever get close enough.
Eyes: Do you know the phrase, "You can tell a lot about a person through their eyes?" That applies very much to Skysting. His eyes, unlike the rest of him, express the most about himself. At times it's very obvious: emotion is simply pouring out of them, and other times it is harder to see than a piece of straw in a bundle of hay. Though, when he does so much to gaze at you, your heart either feels like it could break, (in a good way!) or, you'll be in severe pain. Orbs the colors of light blue frost stare penetratingly at you, and you suddenly feel cold. They always feel the same way, even when they reach other cats. His eyes can be a dark blue; it all depends on his many moods.
Skysting is not a cat to mess with. During battle, he is practically impossible to beat, only because his focus is very strong (his weak spot is his left hind leg). Naturally, he's a lover, not a fighter, and argues/tries to make peace when he believes that the right thing to do is to go against the warrior code. With cats in his clan, he's notorious for his bad-temper, mood swings and dry humor, and more often than not, his excessive sarcasm. Often times, he's moody and grumpy, and no one can ever get close enough to find out why. He guards his heart the most, in fear of losing something he cares about. Even more closely guarded than his heart is his thoughts. Skysting is almost always thinking. He's a very detailed strategist, carefully thinking through things before taking action. You could say he doesn't want to make a mistake, but it's clear he isn't a perfectionist: He just likes to know what he's doing. Tawnyshadow, his brother, tends to irk him more than any other cat in the world, because Tawnyshadow is free-spirited, and has no qualms about anything. He lives his life with experiences, because he believes you only live once (and he doesn't believe in StarClan). Skysting knows StarClan provides more than just a life after life, but nonetheless, it drives him crazy. Skysting is one of those cats apprentices secretly despise yet yearn to be taught by. His methods always seem stupid and long and tedious, but in the end, everyone is always surprised at how well things turn out. Even he surprises himself, even in the darkest hours. Oddly enough, Skysting may be slightly hot tempered and defiant when it comes to other clans, but he holds no grudge against kittypets or non-clan cats. His mind and heart judge the same way: by the character the cat possesses. If the cat shows true character, he has no issue with them joining. His best friend was Flaregiven, a cat he knew until his death.History:
Skysting was born in RiverClan and raised by his parents Seabreeze and Snaketwist. Snaketwist, a dark brown tom with bright green eyes, was the wonderful RiverClan deputy. He was well-respected throughout the four clans, and he always had an air of authority when he spoke. Seabreeze was a beautiful she-cat, free-spirited and fiesty. Many knew not why the two had fallen deeply in love, but nonetheless, the two died together in their sleep of old age. Skysting was one of his parents' two kits: Skykit and Tawnykit. They were the only litter his parents ever had together. Skykit was always the serious one, and Tawnykit always the mischievous one. A moment of significance in his life was when Fernkit was taken. It taught him to be strong, and always protect the innocent. In the nursery, Skykit had a good friend named Fernkit, a pretty (and very tiny) gray she-cat. One cold winter day, they were out of the nursery (it was their first time playing in the snow), and the queens were grooming themselves and talking to their mates, when Fernkit squealed, "Ooh! A bird!" Skykit, always being the knowledgable wone and knowing very well that any kit could die from getting too close to a hawk, dragged his brother and another kit by their tails and shoved them both into the nursery. He started to go back out for Fernkit, but as he was halfway out, his mother's fearful screech caused him to turn back inside. He waited nervously for Fernkit to return, but she never did. Angelwing, Fernkit's mother, was wailing for moons. Then, Flarekit was born, a week after Fernkit's incident. A few moons later, Skykit and his sibling were made into apprentices. Skykit was lucky enough to get the most crabby mentor in the entire clan, Squirreltail, while his sibling got the clan leader. Flarekit got a tomcat named Darkflash. However, Squirreltail never told Skypaw to do anything. She just showed him, and he did it. She was never the kind of cat to punish him, only to ask him what he did wrong, and how could he have fixed it. Her expectations were sky-high, and it was to the stars where he reached. Finally, he, Tawnypaw and Flarepaw were made warriors, right after some retirement ceremonies, including Squirreltail's. Skysting grew into a great warrior; he was also brave in battle. Soon enough, he was given a apprentice, by the name of Cinderpaw. The white warrior trained her well, and she became a credit to her clan. He and Flaregiven were always together during hunting or patrols, and they got along well. One day, Skysting had been hunting, when a strange scent tickled his nose. It smelled like Flaregiven, and a ThunderClan cat! A female! When Skysting poked his head through the bushes, he saw his best friend, and a female cat, mating together by the river. Disgusted, Skysting turned and headed back to camp. Flaregiven greeted him normally, but the look in his eyes was different. Then, each day afterward, Skysting made sure that Flaregiven was with him everywhere he went. Finally, Flaregiven snuck away again, and it was then Skysting knew that Flaregiven knew. Sometime later, Skysting had helped his elderly father sort out patrols for his deputy duties, and he was the only eligible warrior left. They weren't expecting a battle. ThunderClan cats poured in his home, knocking down the nursery and walls that surrounded it. In the midst of all this, Skysting saw Flaregiven's mate, and hurled himself in her direction, feeling hurt for the loss of his friendship and. But she moved, and went to attack another cat with a white pelt and blue eyes. Finally, after a long battle, Flaregiven spotted his mate; her throat cut open, and blood oozing out the sides. At midnight, Skysting started what would become many of sleepless nights, due to nightmares. Flaregiven, after also having a sleepless night too, found out Skysting wasn't in his nest, and attacked. He tried to kill his best friend, and Skysting begged him to just let it go. During the battle, one of Flaregiven's claws grazed Skysting's left eye, leaving behind a scar cutting diagonally across. In the end, Skysting won, and he buried his friend along side his dead mate, who never bore his kits.RP Example:
Moons later, Skysting, still racked with guilt after having had to murder his best friend, took on a rebellious streak. Everything he did provoked a fight, he argued and challenged authoritive cats, and he snapped at anyone who came his way. He was kicked out of camp many times because the clan wanted peace and quiet. During many of those times, Skysting provoked fights with a dog, a rogue cat, and several border patrols, resulting in the scars he has today.
The guilt was finally enough, and he spoke of the horrid thing he had done to the clan leader. Justice, the clan leader said, can be served hot or cold. Flaregiven knew what he was doing, and we know he would have continued to do it. It was later found out that Flaregiven had also been beating his apprentice, and Skysting never felt worse.
To this day, Skysting is still in pieces- mentally and emotionally.
The forest around the river was dark and quiet. Leaves rustled and swirled as they danced with the wind, leaving behind a chilly sensation in the air. The trees above blocked the dark skies, the only sound was the ever-so slight movement of paws.Password: Melody's fluttershy
A crack of thunder rang out, and Skysting found himself flinching. Not more nightmares, he thought woefully.
It's thunder, you know that. He told himself, his fluffy tail flicking the dense air around him. Self-consciously, his fur fluffed up to keep him warm. StarClan, it's going to be a nasty storm.
Utter silence took over the entire forest as the white tom stopped moving.
It's quiet. He thought. Too quiet.
A sudden screech and the collision of fur and snarls could be heard as a ginger tom landed hard on his back. In an instant, Skysting knew whose wide paws and weight was upon him. They began fighting, and it was like fighting himself.
"Flaregiven!" He gasped as the ginger tom hissed at him. "What are you doing?"
"Killing you!" His best friend spat, his dark amber eyes glinting in the shadows.
"What?" Skysting felt his nervousness begin to grow. This is it. He thought.
"You killed Dreamwhisper!" Flaregiven's hot breath was right on his ear as the duo's claws came out to play.
"I did not!" Skysting growled, dancing tauntingly around his friend. "And you know it!"
"You did!" Flaregiven retorted. "You were the only one who knew!"
"But I didn't kill her!" With a roar, Flaregiven launched himself at him, tackling him with the full weight of his body. Swipe after swipe was knocked onto Skysting, and with a mighty heave, Flaregiven was off him and lying somewhere away.
This time, Skysting hurled himself at him. Ruthlessly, he battered the other warrior with blow after blow, Flaregiven continously hissing after each one was delivered. Finally, Flaregiven pushed him up and over, and now Skysting was on the bottom. There was a white light that flashed in Skysting's eyes briefly, and left him momentarily blinded. In that tiny moment, Flaregiven slashed out and left a horrible cut across Skysting's left eye. Dazed and bleeding, Skysting used his weight to his advantage and up and over they went again. Only this time, it was the last one. A brief instant of no fighting, and Skysting sunk his teeth into Flaregiven's scruff. Immediately, blood oozed from the spot, and Flaregiven stopped struggling and thrashing. "I hate you." He growled darkly, the light slowly beginning to die from his amber orbs.
Skysting let go, and as a weak Flaregiven turned to face him, Skysting was horrified at what he had done. "Flaregiven..." He took a step forward, only to step back when the ginger cat spoke again.
"I HATE YOU!" He screeched, dying and still struggling to reach Skysting.
Ice blue orbs filled up with pain. "You were my brother, Flaregiven. I loved you."
