Rancid and Razor walked out of the alley together each with a rat in maw. They didn't loo0k at each other but calmly walked out of the alley towards the forest. Razor was favoring one of his front paws over the other and after looking you would see why when you noticed a huge gash on his shoulder which was dripping blood silently.

After they reached the treeline they scurried as quickly as possible to find a tree to nest near. When they had found a safe place they dropped their rats without saying anything and Razor fell to the ground. Rancid came over and licked the shoulder quickly. He spotted some cobwebs up in the branch right above them and climbed up to the limb. He caught it around his paw before dropping down to where his brother was at. He cobwebbed the wound and the bleeding slowly stopped entirely. He bit open part of the rat and shoved it towards his brother before taking a bite of his own.

"With this drought going its getting harder and harder to get a decent meal around here" Rancid commented looking at his brother darkly.

"Yeah at least without a fight that it" Razor agreed stretching out his paw a little bit before bringing it back to him. "Who would think a dog would have any interest in a rat that is normally only our food" He commented.

Rancid shrugged his shoulders. "Who knows, but we sure showed him who the true bosses were didn't we?" He said before taking another bite. Across from them Rancid thought he saw a figure and stood up shoving his food behind him and tensing up. If that dog wants a second round I'll have to take him on alone He thought as he waited to see what happened.

Seriana was running through the forest. She had no idea where she was going, she just had to get out of here. Her collar was gone after being torn off, she knew entering clan territory wasn't a good idea. She dashed past some trees looking behind her she saw no more cats. She started to slow down and soon scented a mouse. She quietly crawled forward to see the mouse scurry over a branch. She jumped and landed on the mouse taking a bite at its neck. She soon started walking again before she heard to cats. There was a fence with some dead grass and dirt. She quietly crept forward until she realized one of the cats was looking at her she froze in place not knowing what to do next...

He sat down his legs tired from outrunning the alley dog earlier. He licked the wound on his paw that was throbbing in heat. "Well she-cat, we haven't seen you around here before. You gunna stare at us or come chat with a couple of strange toms wandering in the forest?" He asked coyly. He finished licking his paw and nosed at Razor who had fallen asleep after eating his meal. "make that one tom then, razor seems to have fallen asleep." He commented sitting back down with his tail beating the floor behind him. His fur was long and sticky from sweat and he could think of nothing better than to take a quick swim. Soon razor will be thinking I have turned Riverclan He thought to himself. His lip curled a little at the thought of that clan. They had once sought out shelter from a storm in their territory only to be chased back out to the alley ways. Who were these clan cats that they thought they owned the forest?! All cats should share what the good earth had provided! Instead they sit and let other cats die thanks to their own selfishness. He shook his head and got his thoughts out of that dark place. He looked at the she-cat peering at them from a distance. She was very pretty but looks like she had just escaped from a Twoleg den. Kittypet, I'll bet anything She hadn't made any move to come closer yet. Rancid cocked his head to the side. "Well?" He asked with the friendliest smile he could muster up.

Seriana stared at him for a long minute her tailing this way and that. She decided since she had no where to go for now she would stay and chat with the tom. She didnt trust be she knew full well how to fight before she left. She became stronger before leaving home. She straightened out and walked forward with confidence, she took one step at a time slowly but confident. When she finally reached the tom she dropped to she ground. Dirt was covering her fur with some blood caked onto her leg from a wound she recieved from a warrior. She spoke slowly "Hello... My names Seriana. Whats yours?". she took a deep breath as her tail swished behind her throwing up a bit of dirt. She patienly waited for his answer.

He sat still so that he wouldn't scare into thinking that he was going to attack her. He noticed that she was very pretty but that her legs were caked in mud and blood. She must have been in a hurry and had not had the time to clean her fur. Not unlike uh, were filthy He thought to himself. He looked at Razor who seemed to be sound asleep and wouldn't be waking up anytime soon. Well no use in waking him up and scaring him half to death with a new cat. He thought. When she had made her way over to them she said her name and asked him his. "I am Rancid and this is Razor." He pointed to his brother with his tail. "We are resting here after outrunning a dog. What about you? What are you running from?" He asked through open eyes. He did not mean to be straightforward but he was observant and most cats would stop to clean themselves especially a pretty one like this one.

She gasped in shock when she heard him say he outran a dog. "You ran from a dog." she asked still in shock. She was worried it could've been her neighbors dog. They let him out just before she left her home. After she heard Razor ask her 'What about you? What are you running from?'. She completely ignored his question only to answer right after asking "What did the dog look like?". She felt a little embarrassed for ignoring his question and quickly answered it (like I said before) "Oh, well I was running from one of the clans. I had to cross over territory to get away from my home.". She swished her tail back and forth. Her fluffy brown and white tail swaying just above the dirt instead of on it. She really didn't feel like moving because of her leg. She realized that she should explain and started on her long story, well it didn't seem long to her.

" You see I was born in the forest, but taken in by owners. Well they weren't my owners until the took me in, but you get it. Right? Well I spent every afternoon after I became old enough that they would let me outside. Anyways I spent every afternoon practice fighting, always planning to leave my home. I was hoping to find some trace of my parents. But haven't and so. After I left my house, well my house was in the middle of all the territories for some reason. I knew where I was heading so I started this afternoon. The worse part was I left when the patrols were out and I got caught up in the heat of battle. I couldn't fight all of them so I ran. And now i'm here.".

She took a deep breath after explaining and waited to see his reaction.

He looked down at the two rats in front of them. "You are welcome to a few bites if you like" He meowed pointing at it with his tail. He sat in silence while the she-cat breathlessly explained her story. "A kittypet...fighting off not one but multiple clan patrols?" He commented darkly looking at the she-cat. "Impressive" He said nodding his head to the she-cat. He leaned down and took a bite off of the rat slowly.

She frowned at his answer but said nothing in particular. She counted every House she found as her neighbor. She as surprised the dog even chased them for a rat, rats are gross and dogs would never eat them. She shiifted the weight of her body from one paw to the other. She perked up her ears when she heard him say 'You are elcome to a few bites if you like.'. She almost choked in disgust and managed to get out.

"Why in the would any cat eat those nasty rats, besides Shadowclan. I'l just go hunt for a mouse. You can come if you want. I know alot of good places for mice to hide.". She stood up and shook her pelt shaking off some dust. She walked a few fox lengths before stopping to sniff the air. She smelled crow food and vole. 'Well voles are better then nothing' she thought.

"Stay here I'll be right back." She stalked a few paw steps forward before stopping she saw her target. She shifted her paws then raised her hanches preparing for the jump. She pushed up and was soaring through the air. The vole looked like a good size as she landed on it and took a bite out of its next. She soon saw another good looking one scurrying away and jumped landing on that one perfectly too. She bite its neck then grabbed it and went to the other vole tucking it between her chin and chest. She walked back to where Razor's brother was and set them down. She puffed out her chest, knowing she got two good catches.

"Well its not a mouse but its still a pretty good catch. Eat this instead.". She pasted the other vole too him and sat down in front of her meal. Taking a huge bite out of it, being hungry was something she hated dealing with.

Rancid had been trying to be polite and offer what scarce food they had but when the she-cat went to catch her own prey he would have been lying to say that he didn't breath a sigh of relief that they would still have their measly rats to sustain them as they travelled on. Looking on he saw as the she-cat deftly caught two voles and brought them back. When she got back she threw down the vole and invited them to eat. "I prefer rat" Rancid said in a low tone before looking at his brother. "Let me wake him up for you"

He padded over and poked razor in the stomach causing him to wake up very fast. As Razor stood up he looked around and saw the other cat. Instantly his fur bristled and he asked Rancid "What is this Rancid? We leave the dog just for another fight?!" he tensed his shoulders starting to arch his back.

Rancid came up behind him and ran his tail down the cats back. "Calm down brother. She is friendly and even brought you a snack. See." He said pointing to the vole with his tail. He then went back to his rat and continued eating.

Rancid looked up and saw the pretty she-cat. He looked down at the ground embarrased at his greeting. "Beg your pardon, I thought you were an enemy, thank you for the vole" He said as politely as he could inching slowly up to the vole with hungry eyes.

She flinched at the toms reaction and went defensive right away. Her fur sticking up and claws outstretched. She wasn't used to fighting with real cats but she sure didn't mind fighting a tom that would be half-asleep. She hissed at him as he called her a 'dog'. It probably wasn't his fault though so she didn't take much offense to it. After it looked like he relaxed she let her fur lie down and sat back down.

"Its quite alright, but I sure wasn't expecting that from someone who was just sleeping.".

She put on an amusing smile then took a bite out of her vole. she was pretty hungry herself and really wanted to eat. Her tail smacking the floor with bite she took. She licked her paws after a few bites then pushed it too the side deciding to save it for later.

"So you name is Razor? My name is Seriana, its a mouth full but I like my name."

Razor took a few begrudging bites from his vole. They tasted delicious against his tongue and he almost purred at happiness of tasting food again. He had never thought that they would taste food again or escape from that horrible Twoleg Camp. Twolegs everywhere and their monsters driving around ruining the scent trails. It was by luck they had ever escaped from the alleys.

He realized that the other cat was talking to him. He had to clear his throat before he spoke. "Yes, Razor is my name, I'm assuming he told you." He flicked his tail at his brother who was eating calmly at his rat. Razor shuddered at the rat. He never had liked the taste of rat but Rancid swore it was to die for. He had to pay attention again at the cat. "Seriana is a very pretty name... you were a kittypet weren't you?" He asked cocking his head to one side. "Pardon me but I only ask because usually that is where names like that come from. And the ribbon." He pointed out.

Seriana sat in patience only eating half of her vole, she stared at Razor. She pricked her ears up as he said ‘I’m assuming he told you?’. She saw his tail flick to Rancid and she nodded in approval to what he said. She smiled a bit wondering why they were a bit different even as brothers or as she heard. Her tail flicked back and forth, breathing slowly she started to space out as Razor continued to eat from her view. He eyes flickered up to the sky, taking a deep breath she closed her eyes. Picturing her mother from the pictures she saw in her old home.

‘Momma, did I make the right choice to leave. I loved my home, but I didn’t feel right from being there. I hope I’m not ruining my life and I hope to see you soon. I miss you so much and I’ve never even met you. It’s not fair for me to live like this, but I promise to be strong!’

She zoned back in when she heard ribbon. She looked stricken as she remembered her ribbon and forgetting to take it off. She looked around her body in panic seeing her ribbon on her tail she tore it off. She took another deep breath and turned to him saying “Yes I was a kittypet and I’m not embarrassed about it… I just forgot to take the ribbon off. I promised to leave everything behind.”. She stood up and stretched, padding down a soft area of dirt and grass she lied down and turned toward them. “What about you two, what’s your story?”. She was very curious on what their life was like right about now.
