Her lack of a satisfying reaction infuriated the ghostly tom. His non-visible lips pulled back into a snarl. It he had been able to take form, his tail would have been lashing out, his claws sinking into the silver-lit earth. How dare this medicine cat not fear him! The tom still had every bit of power in his paws as he had once he was alive. And dead or not, he would find a way to prove that if need be.
Froststorm let out a low, steady growl. "No, it's about your herb supply. Of course it is! It always has been, and it will until he's done his job on earth." His growl grew slightly in anger. "He is completely my business. He's me. Everything about him is due to who I was. Icepaw wouldn't even exist if I hadn't been able to toy with those mouse-brains you consult with in your dreams." The pale tabby spat the last few words.
"And you'd be surprised a to what Icepaw will do without my direct intervention. He still feels what I felt- my hatred, my despise, my desire to kill that foul blooded deputy to ThunderClan. And if I know him as well as I know myself, he won't be able to hold that back forever." He wasn't able to when he was alive. Icepaw wouldn't either.
"But you're the biggest threat to it in RiverClan. I can't have you softening his mind into that of a mindless StarClan-fearer. He needs to be ready for blood to spill at his paws, not for any cat to hover over him."
Rainwing remembered the times of being an apprentice with Moonshine and he nodded to what Dappledfrost said to his apprentice. "It's true. It is much easier to have an apprentice willing to learn." He knew from experience of being that hard apprentice and Dappledfrost knew too.
He purred deeply as the young starclan she-cat said her goodbye and he watched her go, hoping to see her cheerful face later. He turned back to Dappledfrost with a frown, his ears twitching anxiously. "I suspected as much. Please, let me know as much as possible..."
Dappledfrost's claws worked the earth as she looked down to study her paws. She knew she had to deliever the message now, or otherwise the Clans might be in trouble. Not even StarClan was certain of this meaning behind the words. It could bring ruin upon the Clans if not addressed immediately.
The medicine cat sighed and gave the earth one final rake of her claws. "There is a prophecy, Rainwing. One that no cat seems to understand. You need to here it." She closed her eyes, then slowly began to murmur the strange lines with the voices of many other cats long since gone.
"The bird falls to the earth. While the heat spreads, things will turn to ashes, things will become ill. Things will happen in destruction. A cat may help, but where did it come from, A silver light? No cat can tell exactly, yet nothing can come fast and easy. A slow process, while rebirth soon agapes."
A shudder passed over the she-cat's body, and as she opened her eyes she almost felt a bit woozy. It had felt like many different minds trying to squeeze into her own as she'd spoken the words she did not understand. She blinked to clear her vision, then looked to her apprentice with concern in her eyes.
"Oh for the love of Starclan." Moonshine said, turning to Froststorm. "Dear, can you NEVER be happy? Ever since you arrived you've been nothing but bitter and angry. Quite frankly, you are like a thorn in my paw. Now be happier. You've nothing to be mad about." MoonShine said, flicking her tail. Even with a part of her still living she had mastered this bit. She guided many cats below, giving them her advice. Seeing as she still had cats she knew living below she could still speak to them in their dreams. Once all the cats she had known had passed onto Starclan she'd finally be forgotten by the clans unless her death was still spoken of. One of the legends that was told because of the elders. A tale told to kits by the elders who in turn told their kits who in turn had their kits, passing down the line. There would be stories told about her generation, about this time to the kits.
Froststorm rounded on the ghostly she-cat and snarled. He had thought that it had just been himself and Miraclefur here, no other cats. Apparently he had been wrong. But no matter. The pale tabby bared his fangs and let his invisible claws do their best to tear up the earth underfoot. "Of course I can't! I murdered on my own territory by that fox-dung deputy!" His tail lashed in an undying fury.
"Unlike some, I'm not about to let these crime settle. I know what you and the other fox-hearts have said about it, but I don't care. All I've cared about for seasons was that cats death, and I'm not about to let any cat stand in my way!" Froststorm took a few pawsteps closer to the StarClan warrior and growled every word with a passion. He'd fought against StarClan cats before. He was completely willing to try that again.
Rainwing listened closely and felt his stomach drop at the words his deceased mentor spoke. This did not sound good at all, for all the clans. He studied Dappledfrost's face and saw the worry and concern. Even Starclan was afraid of whatever was to come. "A cat can help....? Who is it...how can find him?" He asked anxiously, but knew she couldn't tell him.
A familiar voice reached his ears and his fur bristled angrily as he turned around. "Froststorm....should have guessed you'd show your ugly face." He growled unwelcomingly. He was no longer a small apprentice afraid of this Riverclan warrior. He was a strong, powerful medicine cat, yet hid back leg ached in memory.

Twitchpaw listened thinking about the words, wondering what on earth could the mean, ashes.... fire makes ashes would also much explain the heat line... and if there is smoke.... then bird could get sick... maybe.... fire is feared so maybe just the idea or fear could cause something.... everything else doesn't really make sense to me.... When she heard her mentor growl. Turing to see the Riverclan warrior. "Rainwing.... what's the matter, he's a Starclan cat." She looked at him before seeing Mircalefur. She looked around, wondering what was going on.
((SOOOOOOO sorry i haven't gotten back to replying to this))
Clawpaw soon came in he had caught himself in a very unpleasant cat nap soon to realize that everyone was with starclan. He too soon joined them "So sorry I was late...uh..little cat nap" he mewed.
"Froststorm. Listen to me..." Moonshine snarled back. " You picked your fight with the wrong cat. It's your fault." She growled at him. Her eyes were narrowed at him. "You are DEAD, and I can't stand by and watch you ruin Icepaw's life with your grudge. Wait for Riddlehawk to die when he gets old, bide your time and deal with him then." She paced closer, her fur standing up on end. "You are not going to influence any cat to kill that tom." She said, her power and will radiating from her etheral pelt.
Dappledfrost shook her head, as if to say that she knew no more than him. "The future is clouded for the Clans. You must figure this out for yourself."
Before she could say anything else, the medicine cat noticed her apprentice's ears prick and fur bristle. Dread crept into her belly as the brown siamese looked off toward the tabby's line of sight. She knew the presence well enough. Dappledfrost let her claws slip out in warning, even though she herself was not much of a threat in fighting. "You're not welcome here," she growled. "Leave this place."

The tom's eyes drifted toward the other medicine cats. Seemed as if they could all see him well enough, now. He must have gathered enough strength to take form at last. The tabby's now seeable fangs bared in a cruel smile. "If it isn't the little runt. How's the leg?" His blue eyes flickered to the ThunderClan tom's hind leg, the same one he'd used to batter him as an apprentice with. The same one he'd crushed in his jaws. The same incident that had started everything with Riddlehawk at Sunningrocks. "I don't have time to play around with you and that queen anymore. I have to focus on the real enemy now."
Froststorm turned back to hear Moonspirit's words, but only scoffed. "Scold me all you want, she-cat, but it won't get you anywhere. I say this again- who is the killer, here? Who died by who's paw?" The pale tabby rolled his shoulders in remembrance. "As for Icepaw's life, it means little. I wouldn't care about the scrap of fur if he wasn't the only way I'd get to carry out my revenge. He wouldn't walk the earth if it wasn't for me anyway." The argument was an old one in his mind. The dead warrior had gone over it plenty of times before. Sometimes just with himself in the darkness of his mind. Now it bored him. He swiped his tongue around his jaws, feeling almost relaxed.
"Ah, but what fun would it be to wait around like that? No, Riddlehawk needs to feel death the same way I did. By fangs and claws." His smile worsened a little. "Just you wait. Icepaw will become a stronger warrior than I ever was. He will kill that fox-hearted deputy, and there's nothing you or any living cat could do to stop him. Unless you'd kill the innocent little tom. Is that what a noble StarClan cat would do?"
Froststorm blinked, then gave his chest fur a few quick licks. "He's done nothing wrong, after all, if that's what you believe."
Rainwing snarled at his taunting, wishing he could just launh himself at the cat that had haunted his dreams as an apprentice. "It was him or you in that fight Frostorm, and you knew it. That's why you started it. You're just a sore loser because your the one with the bad outcome." He retorted, not even bothering to start on the 'runt' comment. This tom could still get his blood boiling, even being in Starclan.
His eyes narrowed as he spoke of Ice, the young apprentice that would never see eye to eye with him. "You won't succeed Frostorm, you're stuck here while Miraclefur and I will awake to the world of he living. We can warn Riddlehawk, and stop you."
Froststorm threw his head back and laughed. "What good will you do? Icepaw is my blood. I know everything about him. If I want him to do something, all I have to do is say so. He's afraid of me. And that's just what I need. Fear brings obedience and respect." As he lowered his head, the dark smile was still there, just filled with cold humor.
"As for my target, warn Riddlehawk all you want! Do you think he doesn't know yet? You'd be wrong to think that." The warrior closed his eyes and tried to reach out to Icepaw's mind. He was slightly surprised to feel panic and anger mixing at the same time, followed by the familiar mind-set of self preservation and battle instinct. A name went through his mind. When Froststorm opened his eyes he purred. "Looks like the beginning is here. Little scrap of fur isn't near ready yet, but I have no doubt he'll survive this fight. I managed it twice."
"What right do you have using a cat to get revenge when you started it? That's not fair nor right," Twitchpaw mewed, knowing she shouldn't speak since she didn't know this cat nor the cat that he was tormenting but it upset her, "Using his fear against him isn't right, that doesn't get you anywhere. All that does is hurt the cat, makes them....." Like my brother..... Twitchpaw mewed, her ears falling as she looked to her paws, feeling upset because she couldn't do anything to help or ease the cat in pain... "You started something and couldn't win, it's your fault, not Riddlehawk. Your the one that lost, you can't take it out on him jut because ypu misjudged your abilities, anger doesn't get you anywhere..... it just hurts you till you fall apart and.... you lost yourself to your anger because.... you doesn't see any happiness or joy, you vengeance and hatred." Twitchpaw was mumbling at this point, still staring at her paws. She then looked Froststorm, "The hatred only hurts you.... can't you see that?" She stared at him, wanting him to understand her feelings.
Froststorm narrowed his eyes at the young she-cat. Every word that poured stupidly out of her jaws seemed to irritate him a bit more. "I'd keep my jaws closed if I were you, apprentice," he mewed coldly. "You have no right to speak here. You're too young to know the events of the past. To know any of this grown-cat talk well enough."
The warrior wasn't about to waste his time explaining the past to her anyway. She was trying to talk about something she had no knowledge of. None of it was worth a mouse tail. His eyes rested then on Rainwing. "You had best learn to leach your apprentice here some manners. I think we know how much I like annoying apprentices."
Rainwing touched his apprentice's shoulder with his tail, glaring at Frostorm. "Do not speak to her Froststorm, stay out of it. You can't cause anymore harm now, your threats are useless." He said icily, ears flattened with dislike.
