Medicine Cat Meeting 7/18

Rainwing chuckled, shaking his head. "We're not in the forest Twitchpaw...this is Starclan." He replied, gesturing around with his tail at the glittering stars surrounding them. "Let me introduce you...." He nodded to each cat in turn as he introduced them. "This is Moonshadow, she doesn't say much, but she keeps a careful watch on Sparklepaw here. Sparklepaw was a Windclan apprentice, but she seems to like me enough to watch out for me know and then. And least but not least..." He looked to his old mentor, smiling. "This is Dappledfrost, my mentor."

Dappledfrost smiled down at the new apprentice. "That's right. I was the medicine cat before Rainwing." She gave a little nod of the head in welcome. "I make it my job to watch over ThunderClan... But also all medicine cats in general." Her thoughts drifted to Moonspirit, who had yet to awake in StarClan's hunting grounds.

As she looked down at the young she-cat, Dappledfrost began to think of her future. What would it entail? Would she become a full medicine cat? Not all apprentices made it that far. For example, her first apprentice, Tigerpaw. The poor cat. She still did not know of his fate. It must have lied somewhere far from StarClan's gaze.

"So, Twitchpaw. Are you ready to set your paws on the path of a medicine cat?" she mewed with a small smile. The path limited a cat's future as to what they could do. No mates was one of the big ones. Even Rainwing had to learn that at one point.

MiracleFur gave up with MoonSpirit, and gave a hiss of protest. She had to speak with StarClan now, and hope for the best. Would they be mad at her? Of course not. At least, she didn't think so.

She nudged her nose against the cold stone, and let her body go limp and fall asleep.

SparklePaw purred at the new apprentice, starting to bounce around both RainWing and TwitchPaw. Her eyes twinkled with stars, and she could only purr a bit more.

"Hiya!" she grinned a bit, her tail lashing back and forth. Ah, she was so bouncy, and like RainWing said, like an apprentice in ThunderClan. More like, identical it seemed.

MoonShadow dipped her head to the apprentice, and smiled softly.

"Hello," she mewed softly, letting her soft gaze fall upon the apprentice. She seemed like a calm one, and one that could be trusted as well.

MiracleFur was alone, and she was near a river instead. She just sat there, her ears twitching back and forth. She had no idea whom she would meet, and she didn't care whom, she just needed to speak with someone.

Twitchpaw laughed at Sparklepaw, "Wow, your pretty hyper." She smiled before looking at the cats before her, her tail lowering as she realized that her mom wasn't with them, Oh well.... maybe next time...... "Can I ask something?" Twitchpaw was curious as to why she was chosen as a medicine cat. She couldn't complain with it since she was very happy about it but she still wondered what about her was so special to be chosen for something so important.

SparklePaw purred, and giggled a bit. She felt excited; she loved meeting new cats. No matter if they were alive or dead.

"Sorry, I just love meeting new cats!" she mewed, sitting down in front of her now, letting her tail tip twitch rapidly. With this scene, it only made MoonShadow chuckle.

MoonShadow heard that she had a question, which let her ears twitch. She knew what she was going to ask, and if she was correct, then how would she answer it? She couldn't explain things, she hoped DappledFrost could.

Twitchpaw laughed, "I wish my brother was like you even just a little.... he's so..... distance from everyone...." Twitchpaw sighed, wishing she knew why or even just how to make him happier, like the kit she once knew. "Maybe you should terrorize his dreams with happy thoughts, that should help," She smiled before looking at the other starry cat, "I... I was wondering why I was chosen to be a medicine cat, I love the fact that I am but I still wonder. I hate the idea of fighting but I could learn. What stands out to you to choose a kit out from the others for something like this? I can't see every cat agreeing since.... you have to give up so much though I don't really mind." She sighed, thinking she wasn't making any sense. She truly agreed with Starclan about her being a medicine cat, it meant that she could do things for her clan that other cats couldn't and that she could help someone when someone else might not. She loved that fact but.... she just couldn't see why she would be chosen, she thought that maybe one of the cat kits would be better suited, as much as she loved it herself.

SparklePaw quivered her whiskers. She was quiet for a few moments, for she wasn't sure how to reply to that. She knew little bits of why he seemed distant to other cats, but she didn't think it would be wise to say.

She looked over at MoonShadow, gave a sly smile, then back at TwitchPaw. She nodded softly, her tail swishing side to side once more. She padded over to RainWing, and sniffed his pelt once. She blinked happily, noticing that he hasn't seen SunLight in a while.

"Very good," she purred softly, and pranced over by MoonShadow.

MoonShadow blinked, and looked over at DappledFrost for help. She wasn't sure how to reply, and she knew what she was asking. She sighed softly, looking back at Twitchpaw.

"DappledFrost could answer that better, I am no medicine cat," she laughed at herself, and then looked at her paws. It was true, she was not one to choose... she didn't like choosing.

Rainwing let his apprentice speak, sitting quietly and wrapping his tail around his paws though the end still twitched every now and then. When Sparklepaw bounded up to him and sniffed him, he frowned and looked to her curiously. "Very good? What do you mean by that Sparklepaw?" He asked honestly, wondering what was going on in the mind of the young Starclan she-cat.

SparklePaw couldn't help but giggle at RainWing. She was glad that he seemed to forget-- SunLight.

"A golden pelt and a white paw," was all she said, before looking back at MoonShadow. That didn't hurt anything, due to it not meaning a thing, really. She was just saying it was good that he seemed to give that up for his life in ThunderClan. He seemed to even forget about her.

"Behave yourself young one." Moonshine said gently, licking Sparklepaw between the ears. She smiled at Rainwing. "Hello dear." she said, licking him between the ears as well. "Always a pleasure to see you." she said kindly. She had always been fond of the young tom, treating him like a son to her.

Rainwing studied the she-cat curiously, not knowing what she was talking about. But when Moonshine spoke up, he smiled to her. He had such great connections with the cats of Starclan... "Its good to see you too. I've missed all of you."

"Hello," Twitchpaw mewed to the new cat, watching her, smiling to see that the Starclan cats were so friendly. She was worried that they might be strict or say something that might hint that they didn't want her to be a medicine cat. She was glad to see it was the opposite. "Did you know Rainwing when you where alive?" Twitchpaw was trying to figure out which cats where older then others in this strange clan and which where no older them Rainwing.

"I've missed you too young one." Moonshine purred to the young tom. She turned her silver gaze to Twitchpaw. The lithe grey and white 'pinto' she-cat padded over to her, sitting down with a smile. "Yes. I did. When he was just an apprentice, about your age actually." she said, her tail flickering over to curl around her neatly put together paws.

Dappledfrost listened to Twitchpaw's words, and twitched her whiskers in both thought and a touch of humor. "I don't think StarClan would approve of it's cats terrorizing innocent young cats, no matter if their siblings see eye-to-eye or not." She twitched her darkly colored tail.

"But believe me when I say this, young one," she continued on. "We chose you for a reason. You're desire to learn in ways outside the battle is key, otherwise your training would be difficult to focus on. And there are many more reasons besides merely that- reason that will only come with time." The medicine cat smiled a little bit. She couldn't tell her everything. She would have to find these things out on her own once she had grown.

Dappledfrost then looked back to Rainwing, her smile gone, and the worry again dancing in her blue eyes. "But there is something I must tell you, Rainwing. Something very important."

A different set of blue eyes were watching Miraclefur as she remained beside the river. And these eyes were nothing like those of the once- ThunderClan medicine cat. These blue eyes were narrowed dangerously, and were filled with a furious hate that thirsted for blood. And nor were they attached to a body. Actually, it was possible that the she-cat before him could not see them at all. The tom whose eyes there were really couldn't care either way.

His anger was now focused on Miraclefur. All the plans he'd set out were deteriorating. Nothing was happening quick enough. Icepaw was wandering from the path. And he blamed this medicine cat right here. She'd been too kind to him. Icepaw would need a heart of ice if he was to carry out the spirit cat's revenge, and this cat had been on of the few who'd prevented that from taking place.

Froststorm's eye burned into her pelt as he willed his body to appear with all the might he could muster. It still was not easy, mind you. Appearing at all while a part of him still lived took effort and time to learn. But he was getting better at it all the time. "Miraclefur," he sneered. "You're in my way."

SparklePaw wrinkled her nose, and yawned. She was getting tired, even though she didn't really sleep in StarClan. Yet, she couldn't help it. It was more like... a little apprentice instinct.

She looked over at all the cats, and then bounced up to RainWing. She gave him a friendly nuzzle.

"I gotta go, seeya later in your dreams!" she bounced off quickly afterward, leaving MoonShadow, DappledFrost, TwitchPaw, RainWing, and Moonshine alone.

MoonShadow chuckled at SparklePaw, and looked at Dappledfrost in relief. She wasn't sure if she could pull off such... well, a difficult task or explanation. She shrugged it off, and then snapped back, well, to reality, technically.

She looked at RainWing, and looked at her paws. She wasn't so good at telling prophecies or anything of that sort...

MiracleFur already expected the tom to appear or say something. Her eyes rolled in their sockets. She did not move. She did not show fear. He was part of StarClan, and she no longer cared what he thought. She didn't care.

"What, FrostStorm?" she mewed coldly, her tail tip flickering back and forth. It was obvious that she no longer feared him due to her actions.

"Is this about IcePaw?" she mewed slyly, "If so, then bugger off. He is none of your business. He can not be controlled by you; he controls his own life."

She now stood up, and turned around, only to see nothing. She knew he was there, though. Right there, for she felt his cold gaze burn right on her pelt. Ah, she hated the feeling, but she had to stand her ground.

Her eyes narrowed only slightly, while the tips of her ears flicked.
