"Tanglestar....if I may..." Rainwing now spoke up, standing up and approaching the leader's and deputies. He was still a young cat but from all he had gone through and being taught by Dappledfrost, his voice held wisdom past his years. "I do not think Spottedstar's request is unreasonable. It's Moonkit's destiny to which clan she decides to be with. And to make sure she is not swayed either way and this is a peaceful meeting.....I shall escort her to this meeting." He glanced between the leaders, acting as a peacemaker like a medicine cat should. "After all...Shadowclan wants peace and surely they would not harm a medicine cat. Moonkit shall be safe and will either return with me or go with them, it's up to her."

"Snowfeather, step down!" Before Rainwing had spoken up, Stormstrike had to reprimand his warrior. He stood up, grimacing at her outburst. "This is not our arguement and you should not speak out in this." He said, shaking his head and glancing to Riddlehawk and hoping he didn't say anything back. One issue at once please... "I'll deal with this Snowfeather, alright?"

Riddlehawk smiled at the Riverclan leader's words. "That same cat whose tail I stepped on might not have left me all that pretty, but he's not looking so pretty either now is he?" He said, taunting her back. He could play this game all day. He turned his gaze to Snowfeather. "Pretty words, Snowfeather. But you know, pretty words followed by threats lose their charm." he said, flicking his tail. His gaze then turned to Spottedstar. "I deny you nothing Spottedstar, dear." he said politely, his gold eye serene. "But I was simply suggesting that Firestar keep to her own clan's business. She has no part in this, and its best not to trod on tails that needn't be trod on." He said. He looked at Rainwing. "I'll accompany you Rainwing. It's not that I don't trust your clan, Spottedstar." he said, looking politely towards the Shadowclan leader. "But past experience has told me to accompany Rainwing on missions." He said, perhaps reminding the Shadowclan leader that Rainwing had once been his apprentice, if she remembered the one Gathering that Rainwing had been Rainpaw and had sat by the deputy's side as his apprentice proudly with his head held high.

SnowFeather suddenly hissed, looking right at StormStrike.

"No! I will not let this cat insult our leader! That isn't what a loyal member of a clan would do!"

She spat, and looked at RainWing, and growled.

"Make me."

RiddleHawk's words only made her growl in disgust. Why was he trying to be nice now?

She rounded back up on RiddleHawk.

"Stop trying to act like you are better than everyone else, because you're not!"

Her claws started to churn up the grass and dirt that was beneath her while her ears flickered about.

Locking Peace In The Closet

Spottedstar listened to Rainwing's words with a slight nod. She could see the benefits in his plan. Things would go much more smoothly without having Tanglestar there breathing over the kit's shoulder. But if Riddlehawk was to come along as he claimed, things might not go as easily as hoped. She looked to the scarred tabby with a cold, reptilian smile. "I never said you should trust us. We prefer to hold back in the shadows- thus our name. Unlike some, we like to keep our business personal." Her ginger and white fur began to flatten. This was a position she could handle without fluffing up.

Her amber eyes made their way back over to Rainwing. "Your idea is plausible, Rainwing. I'll put my paw in for it. That is, if Tanglestar can find it in her mind to agree to a more peaceful meeting arrangement." StarClan knew that she-cat was difficult when it came to finding even ground. Perhaps it was all the bad blood between their two Clans as far back as any cat could recall. Or maybe that was just Tanglestar.

Snowfeather's outburst returned the tick in the leader's tail. These cats had no respect for their seniors in rank. For some time she had thought it was only the cats in her Clan that were so difficult to rein in. But apparently all four shared the common problem with certain warriors. "Maybe you should give your leader the chance to speak up for herself before making a scene in front of the whole forest," Spottedstar retorted coldly. All this pointless arguing was getting her nowhere.

"No Spottedstar, I trust Snowfeather to be able to show her loyalty to her clan freely. You must admit, she was loyal to come to a defense rather than sit and do nothing." she flicked her tail. "Snowfeather, Riddlehawk gets our message." she smiled fondly to the she-cat she trusted so dearly.

Riddlehawk smiled back at the Riverclan leader, his grin turning a bit less sane. "Sometimes it's best to keep your true colors hidden, rather than flying them brazenly for all to see, Firestar. You'd do well to remember that." He said, flicking his tail. Something about his expression, about the way he said that would be something most cats would take notice of. Something that would make them question his sanity further.

Rainwing smiled lightly, glad that Spottedstar seemed to agree to his plan. He looked to Riddlehawk as he spoke up and his stomach dropped some. He knew why the deputy wanted to go with him from past experiences and he didn't argue with that but....tension was already high enough as it was, it may be better just to go alone on this one. He wasn't a helpless apprentice anymore after all. "Riddlehawk, I understand your point but....it may be best I go alone. I can handle myself and...." He glanced to Spottedstar with a raised brow. "Shadowclan wouldn't sink so low as to harm a medicine cat who's on a mission for peace."

Tanglestar bared her teeth at both ideas. "I will meet you at the border at Sunhigh, you may bring two of Moonkit's favorite companions and one warrior for protection. That is all. I will bring only two cats close to Moonkit and a warrior fro protection as well. Are we agreed? Or are you going to keep bickering like a bunch of kitty-pets over Two-leg mush.", she hissed. "Riddlehawk that is enough no need to rub in the fact tht you killed a Riverclan warrior. That is not something to brag about.", she snapped. "If it is apparent that Windclan isn't going to come to this gather ing then me and my warriors will depart and prepare for the meeting at the boarder.", she growled leaping off of the highrock bounding towards the outer edges of teh clearing.

Riddlehawk turned and gave Tanglestar a not quite sane look. "I wasn't bragging over anything, Tanglestar. I simply stated a fact. It's not my fault that some cats here tend to linger on things that had best be left alone." He purred with a rather dangerous smile. He flicked his tail, hopping away from the Highstones. His head swung back over his shoulder, casting the cats still sitting there that same dangerous Cheshire grin before turning back towards where his leader was padding away, his tail flicking back and forth with a clockwork movement.

Firestar growled, "Well, can we settle down enough for RiverClan to give our news?" she hissed, her fur pricking. She was very angry right now.

Riddlehawk turned and looked at Firestar irritatedly. "Then speak Firestar! No one's stopping you." He snapped at her, lashing his tail. His gold eye was off, oddly dialated for this lighting. Oh joy, here we go again....

Firestar flicked her tail, rolling her eyes. "I Think this Gathering is done." She gracefully jumped off the rock and started leading her clan to RiverClan territory. "RiverClan, come."

The white she-cat looked at FireStar in alarm. She was a bit surprised by how she talked; saying that the Gathering was done. Didn't she want to speak of how WindClan attacked? Her fur prickled.

Her purple-looking eyes looked at Riddlehawk and growled.

"Don't try to insult my leader again, fleabag!"

She hissed, and ran after FireStar, hoping that RavenStone would soon accompany her.

"I'll do as I please, sweetheart." Riddlehawk taunted with a wink, as the she cat turned tail. Then again...who could tell if he winked? They couldn't say he did or if he didn't, seeing as he only had one eye. He smirked, flicking his tail at the purple eyed hellion.

He had never really gotten along with her, and he didn't exactly try to either. "Au Revoir, mademoiselle." He said, snickering and turning from the white cat to follow his leader. He didn't really care if she didn't like his taunting. She started bickering first, he had only said some things to her leader.

Such A Pain

Spottedstar hissed in annoyance. What a pain this Gathering had been! Nothing but fighting and bickering between the Clans, and one not even here while another hadn't been given the chance to speak. It gave her such a margarine. The last thing she wanted was to face Tanglestar again tomorrow. We shouldn't have to go through with this, anyway. Moonkit was ShadowClan first. The ginger and white she-cat waved her tail to attract the attention of her Clan.

"ShadowClan, move out," she growled, and leapt down from the great rock. The leader bounded over to join her Clanmates, stepping near Shadowfang and Leafheart. "I want you two to be the warriors I bring with me. Shadowfang, you'll be there as guard. We can't trust ThunderClan to hold onto any promise. Leafheart, if anyone, you'd be queen to Moonkit. And I suppose Dirtfur will have to come as well. He was the only cat who was really close to her, anyway." She twitched her whiskers. It always had to be the same tom in the middle of every problem. He had best behave himself. "Be ready to leave camp by sunrise." With that, Spottedstar swerved through the mass of her Clan toward the front to lead them back to camp.
